Ann Coulter: No Amnesty Is A Good Amnesty...

Breitbart -- Donald Trump is being told that amnesty for “Dreamers,” or DACA recipients, will only apply to a small, narrowly defined group of totally innocent, eminently deserving illegal immigrants, who were brought to this country “through no fault of their own” as “children.” (Children who are up to 36 years old.)

Every syllable of that claim is a lie, and I can prove it.

To see how DACA will actually work, let’s look at another extremely limited amnesty that was passed in 1986.

Farmers wanted temporary guest-worker permits for their cheap labor, so that they could continue pretending that the Industrial Revolution never happened and refuse to mechanize. (And, boy, did that work! We haven’t heard a peep about “crops rotting in the fields” since then.)

The agricultural amnesty was supposed to apply to — at most — 350,000 illegal aliens. It would be available only to illegals who were currently in the country doing the back-breaking farm work that no American would do. Without them, crops would wither on the vine. They were saving us from starvation!

Talk about deserving. Are any Dreamers saving us from starvation?

But instead of guest-worker permits, then-Rep. Charles Schumer — from the lush farmland of Brooklyn — decided to grant full amnesty to any illegals who had done farm work for at least 90 days in the previous year.

That’s pretty restrictive, isn’t it?

In the end, “up to 350,000 farm workers” turned into 1.3 million.

Oh well, what are you going to do? No use worrying — let’s just move forward and get all these people voter registration cards!

This innocent little amnesty for a small, clearly defined group of illegals quickly became amnesty for anyone who applied. The same thing will happen with any other amnesty, no matter how strictly the law is written. (And it won’t be written strictly.)

In the first few years of the agricultural amnesty, internal Immigration and Naturalization Service statistics showed that 888,637 legalization applications were fraudulent. According to immigration agents, “farm workers” stated in their interviews that cotton was purple or that they had pulled cherries from the ground.

Of the 888,637 fraudulent applications, guess how many our government approved. Answer: More than 800,000.

The agricultural amnesty was so carefully administered that not one, but TWO of the 1993 World Trade Center bombers were in this country because of it.[...]

For two decades after the 1986 amnesty, the federal courts were tied up with dozens of class-action lawsuits brought on behalf of illegal aliens — regular illegal aliens, farm worker illegal aliens and still-in-Mexico illegal aliens — challenging every aspect of the law.

Is that how American tax dollars should be spent? On endless litigation, brought by America-hating activists on behalf of people who have no right to be in our country and decided by Democrat-appointed judges? (Who are also America-hating activists.)

And when their work is done, there will be a lot more Democrat-appointed judges because there will be a lot more Democrats.

Lawyers sued over everything — the absence of Creole interpreters, the requirement that illegals have proof of prior farm work and the rare denials of amnesty. Congress desperately tried passing laws that would prevent courts from hearing these cases — all to no avail. Left-wing lawyers just had to pick the right judge, and they won.

In 2005 — nearly 20 years after the 1986 amnesty — the Ninth Circuit was still granting amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens who claimed they had been unfairly denied because they were not in the country for the first amnesty. Seriously.

No matter how the law is written, as long as anyone is eligible for amnesty, everybody’s getting amnesty.

President Trump is the last president who will ever have a chance to make the right decision on immigration. After this, it’s over. The boat will have sailed.

If he succeeds, all the p@ssy-grabbing and Russia nonsense will burn off like a morning fog. He will be the president who saved the American nation, its character, its sovereignty, its core identity. But if he fails, Donald Trump will go down in history as the man who killed America.

Blog Author's Comments: Amnesty for all is not what Americans voted for. Any talk of amnesty is a deal breaker with the American people. We already have rules concerning people who attempt to or come here illegally, they are breaking the law. Ann Coulter is correct as usual. Hopefully, Trump is trolling the Democrats.

He has become frustrated with many members of his own party and their inability to do anything. He cannot do it all by himself. He does not and many of us don't want his election and total control of the government to go to waste. The Republican Party may not have control for quite a while if there are not some very positive results and many of the President's campaign promises fulfilled.

Many executive orders, increased ICE activity, military support, and the new Justice of the Supreme Court, none of those would have played out the way they did if Trump wasn't president. I would also argue that economic and job gains are also because of him. But, there many items on his to-do list that have not been addressed because of the GOP leadership and many party members.

It's the enemy within that is hardest to fight. The homegrown Marxists will never stop their endeavor to push us Left. The bottom line is that Trump has to say no to any amnesty and find a way to build the wall. I believe in Trump's word but DACA must be dead and buried and the Dreamers deported.

Even The ACLU Defends Ann Coulter...

Truth Revolt -- Unlikely supporters keep piling up in Ann Coulter's corner in the wake of the cancellation of the conservative provocateur's speaking engagement at UC Berkeley.

Whereas some totalitarians -- oops, we mean liberals -- like Constitutionally-confused former Presidential candidate Howard Dean claimed Coulter didn't have the right to speak, some stood up for her. In addition to frumpy socialist Bernie "Everything should be free!" Sanders and shrill radical Elizabeth "You didn't build that!" Warren, the ACLU – yes, you read that right – stepped up in Coulter's defense. The civil liberties organization declared that shutting down the speech authorities were predicting would be received by a 99% chance of violence represents a "defeat for the first amendment," which is tragically true.

In a tweet, the ACLU National said that Berkeley's snowflakes have used the "heckler's veto" and should be ashamed:
The ACLU couldn't help itself from taking a jab at Coulter, however, referring to her views as "hateful," so it was tepid support at best.
Blog Author's Comments: Ann Coulter's speech is "hateful"? Anything the liberals disagree with is now considered 'hate speech'. As one of the 'deplorables’, I say we need more of Coulter's speeches, they are commonly known as logic, truth and facts. I have to think that the ACLU only got behind Coulter after being shamed into it.

Speaking with Sean Hannity on ‘Hannity’ Wednesday evening, conservative speaker and author Ann Coulter commented on the recent and much-publicized cancellation of her speaking event at UC Berkeley earlier in the week. “I want our audience to be very clear about this [...] you did not cancel. Tell us what happened,” asked Sean.

“Berkeley, as you know, has been changing their position every five minutes,” said Coulter.” “It’s like a game of musical chairs and whenever the music stops the answer is ‘no she can’t speak.’ My allies, whom I love, were on the same side, but they ran away, they gave in. Then there was nothing I can do.”

Hannity asked Coulter if she thought the hatred and intolerance towards her was part of a larger issue: a coordinated effort by liberals to silence conservative voices. “Do you agree with my point that there’s a bigger issue here? What I call ‘liberal fascism’ and this intolerance towards any conservative... Do you agree that this is now an orchestrated and funded effort?”

Coulter agreed, adding that even a few prominent leftists have had enough with the ‘liberal fascists’ that have dominated college campuses and institutions around the country. “It shows how radical the universities are generally," said Coulter, “when you have some liberals saying," ‘Get over yourselves Berkeley, we have a first amendment.’ "People have fought and died for free speech.”

If a group of white students did this to a Black Lives Matter gathering, they would face expulsion and hate crime charges. And this is what should happen to the thugs and their faculty instigators that do this to conservative speakers. Where is the First Amendment which contains within it, ‘freedom of speech’? It apparently does not exist at UC Berkeley.

Audio From The Mark Levin Show - Ann Coulter And UC Berkeley...

Mark Levin Fumes: Trump Should Federalize The California
National Guard To Walk Ann Coulter Onto UC Berkeley Campus

Tucker Carlson's Interview With Ann Coulter To Discuss
Berkeley Canceling Coulter's Speech Over Protest Fears

Blog Author's Comments: Ann Coulter vows to speak at UC Berkeley despite planned speech cancellation. Regardless of the decision of University of California, Berkeley, officials to cancel conservative commentator Ann Coulter's planned speech for April 27, Coulter and organizers are promising she will still find a way to speak at the campus.

Early Wednesday, UC Berkeley Vice Chancellor Scott Biddy and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Stephen Sutton emailed a message to organizers that "given currently active security threats, it is not possible to assure that the event could be held successfully."

The administrators write that they "have been unable to find a safe and suitable venue" based on the university police department's safety assessment. They note in particular the riots that engulfed the campus back in February when campus Republicans invited a right-wing speaker.
Our country and so many of its people are simply far-left crazy and in this case badly managed and controlled. Our laws and the Constitution only matter to them when they benefit liberals. Are some of these UC Berkeley students afraid of Ann Coulter? What a cabal of infants, railing against free speech.

Without a doubt those who intend to protest Coulter's speech are either leftist children or hired protestors, intent on doing as much damage to the campus buildings and surrounding area because this is what many are being paid to do. The National Guard is not that bad of an idea. Allow them to crack some heads and arrest the people who believe themselves to be hard cases and able to do exactly what they desire.

The police officers should also put an end to this and not sit in their cars like many of them did the last time there was a violent protest, not long ago, on the UC Berkeley campus. What more proof do people need? The progressive left is a Fascist ideology that is trying to silence any and all opposition through intimidation, threats, bullying and violence. Tell the leaders of the school that if this continues, federal funds will be withheld, and academic credentials pulled. Make going to school there completely pointless. The violent protests have to be stopped some time, so why not do it now?

Ann Coulter Discusses Trump Derangement
Syndrome By The Republican Establishment

Does Ann Coulter Still Support Donald Trump For President?

Blog Author's Comments -- I have always liked Ann Coulter, a very sharp tongued lady who doesn’t hesitate to bluntly state things as they are and doesn't give a damn how anyone feels about it. She is a very bright lady, a lawyer who practiced law for a few years and a voracious writer of politically charged top selling books. Perhaps Trump should consult with her now and than.

Ann Coulter discusses the bizarre world of "pussified conservatives", behaving just like leftists in order to conserve a tenuous grip on their own relevancy. As I do believe and have written in other posts, from what I have seen so far and I am watching closely as one of the Trump supporters, the Republican 'establishment' would rather see Hillary Clinton win the presidency rather than the Party winning with Donald J. Trump as president.

I know this appears quite outlandish to many but many of the so-called leaders of the party are doing all that they can to help take down Trump so he does not win the 1,237 delegates he needs which would guarantee him the nomination. The establishment would rather have a contested or brokered convention so they could make someone they approve of the nominee for the general election.

Coulter: Cruz And Walker Only 'Palatable' Candidates

Breitbart -- Columnist and author [...],Ann Coulter said that Ted Cruz and Scott Walker are the only “palatable” presidential candidates and that the candidacies of Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina are a “waste of time” on “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.

Coulter re-iterated her point that Republicans shouldn’t let liberal moderators host their debates, she then stated “most importantly, please Republican primary voters, do not even consider someone who has not been a governor. Maybe a senator, but at least a governor. That is just wasting everybody’s time, energy and money from — and I’ve done it myself. I supported Pat Buchanan, Steve Forbes, probably some other ones, but, no, just don’t even consider them, it’s a waste of time. I love Ben Carson, he can’t be our candidate. Carly Fiorina, no, just get them off the list. We have to get serious about this, we have to back a candidate who’s going to win. Of all the ones that you mentioned [Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, and Carly Fiorina] I think the only ones I would consider at all palatable are Ted Cruz or Scott Walker.”

Coulter also said of Hillary Clinton, “I don’t think she’s going to be that tough. If we have — the most important issue right now is whom the Republicans choose, not whom the Democrats choose. She’s not a likable person. She has a lot of trouble. She was knocked out once before. You already have the left pushing forward other possibilities.”

Coulter concluded that the best issue for Republicans to emphasize is, it’s been a disaster under Obama. We would like someone to right the ship of state.
Blog Author's Comments - I have been saying this same thing for months. I agree with Coulter...I would support either Cruz or Walker and my first choice would be Ted Cruz yet, I would not be unhappy if Scott Walker were the GOP nominee. But the GOP Establishment is the problem. I would not be surprised if they back Jeb Bush.

Ted Cruz is a great speaker, is highly intelligent, and a natural leader, a man with true conservative convictions. Everyone who has followed him knows where Cruz stands on the issues, he makes the case for his positions unapologetically. Walker has also shown himself to be a strong leader as Governor of Wisconsin. We need that strong leadership in our next President, but will the Republican voters support them?

I Got 30 Million Reasons - by Ann Coulter

anncoulter.com -- We keep hearing insistent claims that if Republicans don't pass amnesty yesterday it will be the end of the party.

Can I see the math on that? I can see why bringing in 30 million new Democratic voters would be good for the Democrats, but how does it help Republicans? Maybe conservatives shouldn't blindly trust the calculations of the guy who graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at the U.S. Naval Academy.

If I were a Democrat, I would have tried to sneak this bill past Republicans by proposing amnesty only after reaching some easily rigged benchmarks. But, apparently, Chuck Schumer knows elected Republicans better than I do.

Step One: Everyone's amnestied. Step Two: After they're amnestied, they can bring in all their relatives.

If Hispanics voted 50.1 percent for Democrats, amnesty would be a bad deal for Republicans. But, in fact, they vote 70 percent to 80 percent for Democrats. How did it become an urgent priority for Republicans to bring in 30 million new voters, 80 percent of whom will vote Democratic?

Democrats want 30 million new voters and they will say anything to get there:

-- It's a crisis! Illegal immigrants are "living in the shadows"!

That's not a "crisis." At most -- and this is highly dubious -- it's a crisis for the illegal immigrants. But evidently, "living in the shadows" is at least better than living in Guadalajara. Otherwise, there's an easy solution.

We're told, "You don't know what it's like to live in the shadows!" Yes, you're right, and that proves it's not a crisis.

Sorry to sound legalistic, illegal aliens, but you broke the law and -- look me in the eye -- you know you broke the law. You hid in the backs of trucks, traveled across remote desert locations, ran from U.S. agents and stole American IDs.

It's supposed to be uncomfortable to break the law. We aren't required to grant amnesty to people just because they've put themselves in the awkward position of being here illegally. (Or because the Democrats need 30 million new voters.)

If illegals were Republicans, Chuck Schumer would be a "Minuteman," patrolling the Mexican border 24-7.

-- Oh boy! Are Hispanics ever going to take revenge on Republicans!

The obvious retort is: If these people vote 80 percent against Republicans, how does it hurt Republicans if they can't vote? Is the claim that next time legal Hispanics vote against you, they'll have an angry glint in their eye? Voting machines don't register angry glints.

-- How could any decent person be against granting amnesty to lawbreakers?

In common parlance, "the decent thing to do" is usually defined as "following the law." The fact that Democrats want 30 million new voters is not a good enough reason to ignore the law and screw over the millions of people who have been waiting 20 years to immigrate here legally.

-- We already have "de facto amnesty."

I gather Marco Rubio considers this his big showstopper, since he says it in every interview as if he's announcing the Kochen-Specker theorem. But if we already have de facto amnesty, why is this bill even necessary? Oh, that's right! The Democrats need 30 million new voters.

Blog author's comments - I don't often read Ann Coulter's column but what she said in her column this week is correct. Neither I nor any conservative can explain the thinking, comments, speeches and votes of some so-called Republicans such as McCain, Graham, Rubio and others...who aligned themselves with the Democrats...in their successful effort in passing an immigration amnesty bill for the illegals in the Senate. Now Paul Ryan is pushing for much of the same in the House.

If a bill which contains what was in the Senate bill passes in the Republican controlled House it is over for the GOP. I also believe many Republican voters...if that happens... will stay away from the polls in the 2014 elections which is a must win election for the Republican Party to retain control of the House. They have to attempt to stop Obama from doing much more damage to our country during his last two years in office.

I would like one of the Republican backers of the amnesty bill to explain how giving the illegal immigrants amnesty will help the Republican Party. As Ann Coulter said the Hispanics will not support the Republican Party. So if they are given amnesty and the right to vote the GOP will never again elect a president. This is exactly what Barack Obama and the Democrats want and sadly many members of the Republican Party seem as if they are willing to give it to them.

I have covered much of the same... ad nauseam... in a few posts on my blog:

Ann Coulter Blasts Immigration Bill And Rubio,
Calls Rubio The Jack Kevorkian Of The Republican Party

Ann Coulter's column this week: If The GOP Is This Stupid, It Deserves To Die

Blog author's comments - I don't agree with many things Ann Coulter says and most of the people she backs or indorses... but she is correct in her assessment of Marco Rubio and the Republican Party. Those of us, who care about what is being done to the country by the Obama administration and the liberals, cannot understand how some members of the GOP don't recognize what they are doing with their push for an amnesty bill for the illegals.

There is polling data that shows the American people want enforcement of the borders first by a 4-to-1 margin before any type of immigration reform bill is discussed. Apparently the 'Gang of Eight' doesn’t agree and they are pushing ahead with their plan. As I see it the Republican Party will lose very little if they don't have the backing of the Hispanic voters because they did not have it in the election of 2012. At least 70 percent of the Hispanic voters are going to vote for the Democrats. If an amnesty bill passes the GOP controlled House it will soon be the end of the Republican Party.

Shirley Sherrod - Andrew Breitbart Did Not Fire You - The White House Did!

I must assume that most of you by now are aware of the fiasco involving Shirley Sherrod, the USDA employee who was fired after a bogus video of her surfaced.

So, I will not go into that...she was fired by the White House and chastised by the NAACP. Obama later called her to apologize - but he had to be the one to say "cut her loose."

Ann Coulter destroys Rick Sanchez of CNN in a heated debate over the Shirley Sherrod incident.

By Noel Sheppard - 07/24/2010
NewsBusters
Conservative author Ann Coulter was Rick Sanchez's guest on the prime time edition of "Rick's List" Friday, and the sparks were flying.

After showing a clip of Coulter earlier in the week claiming that Andrew Breitbart was set up with that partial video of Shirley Sherrod speaking at an NAACP function in March, Sanchez asked, "Look, doesn't Breitbart deserve to lose his credibility for this?"

Coulter responded: This wasn't edited to make it look like she was discriminating against a white farmer. She was admitting that she was discriminating against a white farmer...It wasn't a doctored tape. It wasn't an edited tape. It was an excerpted tape.

When Sanchez replied, "You're playing games. You're playing semantics," the battle was on!

Maybe Sanchez should chat with his colleague Howard Kurtz who last Sunday claimed on CNN's "Reliable Sources," "Sound bites are compressed on television every day." If sound bite compression at CNN doesn't invalidate the point one host is making, another host shouldn't complain about a website using excerpts from videos to prove its point.

More importantly, what seems to be lost here is that all Breitbart did was publish a video at Big Government. He didn't call for anyone to be fired over what was posted. Instead, he published it as an example of a double standard as it pertains to racism, a point Coulter would echo:

COULTER: Well, then the NAACP and the White House are far more guilty than Breitbart because they didn't wait to see the full video, and, by the way, the NAACP had the full video. Breitbart didn't fire anyone. Breitbart didn't have the full video.

COULTER: And if we could get back to your claim that what you care about is the truth, why do you keep repeating the despicable lie that John Lewis was called the N-word 15 times on Capitol Hill at the anti-Obama protest?

That is a lie. And you have repeated that. All these -- all these -- this network repeats it. All these networks repeat it. That is a lie. At least Shirley Sherrod got her reputation back.

Blog author's comments - I would expect by next week Shirley Sherrod will be compared to Rosa Parks. I would not be surprised if Obama appoints Sherrod to his administration as his 'Czar on Racial Relations.'

Sherrod said concerning Andrew Breitbart who apparently was sent a tape and posted it on one of his websites. "I know I've gotten past black versus white. He's probably the person who's never gotten past it and never attempted to get past it."

"I think he would like to get us stuck back in the times of slavery. That's where I think he would like to see all black people end up again."

Did Sherrod chastise the President? Her initial firing came from the White House. Has she gone after the NAACP? They had the full version of the tape but did not check it out before they criticized her.

Has anyone else noticed that the division between the races seems to have grown wider rather than closer, since Barack Obama was elected President? You don't suppose his push against those that have vs. those that have not has added to this problem?

Ann Coulter - The Woman Liberals Love To Hate

I am a fan of Ann Coulter, enjoy her writing and her grasp of political issues. Another reason, is that I have the same views as she with regard to politics. She also has a unique ability to debate these issues. I read her weekly column which is published every Wednesday.

I never watch network news shows but, if by chance I hear that she will be making an appearance on a radio talk show, I will listen to the show. She is a very bright and often humorous lady, particularly when she is skewering her liberal opponents.

I also believe her writing to be quite good. It is serious and to the point, with just enough sarcasm and humor thrown in to always make the subject interesting. If you want to start an argument with a Democrat all that is required is the mention of her name.
Ann Coulter is an American constitutional attorney, conservative social and political commentator, best selling author and syndicated columnist. She frequently appears on television, radio, and as a speaker at public and private events. Well-known for her right-wing political opinions and the controversial ways in which she defends them, Coulter is a skilled debater in speech or writing who likes to "stir up the pot" and, unlike "broadcasters," does not "pretend to be impartial or balanced."

Coulter is a best selling author of seven books, and as mentioned, publishes a weekly syndicated newspaper column. She has been described as "Rush Limbaugh in a miniskirt". She also makes numerous public appearances, speaking on television and radio talk shows, as well as on college campuses, receiving both praise and protest.
Coulter has, on occasion, responded with insulting remarks towards hecklers and protestors who attend her speeches because - they deserve it. I believe that she is an attractive lady and also 'thick skinned' when it comes to taking on her opponents and defending her opinions.

A Few Quotes From Ann Coulter:

  • Democrats always assure us that deterrence will work, but when the time comes to deter, they're against it.
  • I love to engage in repartee with people who are stupider than I am.
  • I might be in favor of national healthcare if it required all Democrats to get their heads examined.
  • I've decided to cut out the part of the speech where I say anything nice about Democrats.
  • If John Kerry had a dollar for every time he bragged about serving in Vietnam - oh wait, he does.
  • If only Al Sharpton were around, Lincoln would have known he was a victim of racism.
  • If we're so cruel to minorities, why do they keep coming here? Why aren't they sneaking across the Mexican border to make their way to the Taliban?.
  • Ironically, since Obama was elected, for the first time in my life I'm sometimes not proud of my country.
  • Liberals are stalwart defenders of civil liberties - provided we're only talking about criminals.
  • Political debate with liberals is basically impossible in America today because liberals are calling names while conservatives are trying to make arguments.
  • The New York Times editorial page is like a Ouija board that has only three answers, no matter what the question. The answers are: higher taxes, more restrictions on political speech and stricter gun control.
  • When every one of your arguments is characterized as an attempt to bring back slavery or resegregate lunch counters, it's a little hard to have any sort of productive debate.
  • Whether they are defending the Soviet Union or bleating for Saddam Hussein, liberals are always against America. They are either traitors or idiots, and on the matter of America's self-preservation, the difference is irrelevant.
  • While the form of treachery varies slightly from case to case, liberals always manage to take the position that most undermines American security.
