Coulter: Cruz And Walker Only 'Palatable' Candidates
Breitbart -- Columnist and author [...],Ann Coulter said that Ted Cruz and Scott Walker are the only “palatable” presidential candidates and that the candidacies of Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina are a “waste of time” on “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.
Coulter re-iterated her point that Republicans shouldn’t let liberal moderators host their debates, she then stated “most importantly, please Republican primary voters, do not even consider someone who has not been a governor. Maybe a senator, but at least a governor. That is just wasting everybody’s time, energy and money from — and I’ve done it myself. I supported Pat Buchanan, Steve Forbes, probably some other ones, but, no, just don’t even consider them, it’s a waste of time. I love Ben Carson, he can’t be our candidate. Carly Fiorina, no, just get them off the list. We have to get serious about this, we have to back a candidate who’s going to win. Of all the ones that you mentioned [Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, and Carly Fiorina] I think the only ones I would consider at all palatable are Ted Cruz or Scott Walker.”
Coulter also said of Hillary Clinton, “I don’t think she’s going to be that tough. If we have — the most important issue right now is whom the Republicans choose, not whom the Democrats choose. She’s not a likable person. She has a lot of trouble. She was knocked out once before. You already have the left pushing forward other possibilities.”
Coulter concluded that the best issue for Republicans to emphasize is, it’s been a disaster under Obama. We would like someone to right the ship of state.
Blog Author's Comments - I have been saying this same thing for months. I agree with Coulter...I would support either Cruz or Walker and my first choice would be Ted Cruz yet, I would not be unhappy if Scott Walker were the GOP nominee. But the GOP Establishment is the problem. I would not be surprised if they back Jeb Bush.
Ted Cruz is a great speaker, is highly intelligent, and a natural leader, a man with true conservative convictions. Everyone who has followed him knows where Cruz stands on the issues, he makes the case for his positions unapologetically. Walker has also shown himself to be a strong leader as Governor of Wisconsin. We need that strong leadership in our next President, but will the Republican voters support them?
