Laura Ingraham Interviews Marco Rubio...

TLR -- There’s a big con job just over the horizon. All of the elements are there. The timing, the platform, the personalities, the discussion topics, etc., it’s a familiar script. The website would like to direct attention to this interview which took place last night on Laura Ingraham’s new Fox News show. Listen carefully to three elements:

♦On Tax Reform – on one side of Rubio’s ‘full-throated‘ mouth he wants higher taxes on corporations 22% -vs- 20%. In the almost the same breath, inside the same argument, he says “it’s not their (the government’s) money”. Try to reconcile that.

♦On DACA – [Remember, three months ago President Trump gave congress six months to fix DACA] Rubio says the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA) program is not the “Dreamers”. What? Yes it is. The childhood arrivals ARE the so-called ‘dreamers’.

♦However, much more importantly, listen to what is said on “chain migration“. Ingraham asks if Rubio supports “chain migration”. Rubio says no, then immediately says: “I’ve always agreed to limiting chain migration to immediate family members”. WHAT? That is chain migration.

Blog Author's Comments: Sen. Marco Rubio sometimes attempts to be a con-artist but he does not do it well. Just tell us what you want Marco and we will decide if there is agreement with you or not. What’s bothered me was Rubio talking about adding a “child tax credit” to the tax reform bill. As I understand it this is for many people who don’t make enough to pay any income tax. In other words, it’s a handout. He tries to justify it by saying they pay payroll taxes.

This is Rubio in ‘double-speak’, which is why he didn’t make it to the presidential election. Unfortunately, the very same D.C. Swamp creatures who profess concern about the deficit are the ones who are also refusing to slash Federal spending. Rubio is a mediocre politician. Prior to the debates he was quoted as saying that he did not want to be a member of congress anymore because it bored him. But then he decided he wanted to be the president.

Laura Ingraham has been a staunch defender of Trump, not in every single thing he does or says, but Trump principles. She is apparently a disciple of Pat Buchanan and he is supposedly a regular on her radio show. She does not cave to many of the people who were on her radio show when I listened to it. I have never viewed her new Fox show.

Marco Rubio Repeats Himself & Failed Again - Fox's Bill O'Reilly Show...

The heavily scripted candidate and current favorite of the professional political class, had another bad evening last night by constantly repeating himself (much like he did two debates ago when Chris Christie took him down) during a Bill O'Reilly interview. Mr. O'Reilly asked candidate Marco Rubio if he was willing to deport the illegal aliens, or those who overstay their visas'.

Marco Rubio Repeats Same Line 8 Times To Bill O'Reilly

Blog Author's Comments -- Once again Rubio's rehearsed answer to a question, over and over. Can you imagine being part of the GOP and your best chance at stopping Donald Trump, and keeping your grip on power and money through crony capitalism, is Marco Rubio? I don’t care for O’Reilly, but Rubio dodged a legitimate question.

He asked what does Rubio believe, not what the American people want. Trump has no problem answering that question honestly and directly. It just so happens that the vast majority of the American people feel the same way. I will not accept Rubio as the GOP's nominee. I will also never forget what many people have, when he was a member of the 'Gang of Eight', Republicans and Democrats pushing for amnesty and eventually citizenship for the illegals.

Defiant Marco Rubio: 'We're Going To Win This Campaign'

Breitbart -- Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is scrambling to project strength in the Republican presidential primary, doing interviews on Fox News and the Today show and jetting off to South Carolina after coming in fifth in New Hampshire.

“We’re going to be the nominee,” he said confidently on the Today Show. “It is just going to take a little longer, but we are going to get there.”

With 92 percent of the vote tallied in New Hampshire, Rubio is 1,484 votes behind his political mentor Jeb Bush, who earned fourth place.

On Fox and Friends, Rubio blamed the media for creating the narrative that something bad had happened to his campaign, and for discouraging voters.
Well, what happened is obviously Saturday night, the debate went the way it went and then the media coverage over the last 72 hours was very negative about it and so forth. So the last thing that voters heard before going into the booth or yesterday was, you know, something bad happened on Saturday night. So it made it very difficult for us to get any other message across.
Rubio spun his finish as only a difference of a “couple thousand votes” which is why his campaign was so disappointed.

“So that’s on me,” he said, referring to his debate performance. “That ain’t ever going to happen again.”

Rubio said he was on his way to South Carolina, where he hopes to get his campaign back on track.

“We’re going to win this campaign. We’re going to win this primary,” he said. “It’s important for the country and I’m fired up about that.”

He ignored the criticism that he was too scripted or didn’t have enough depth, calling it “absurd.”

“I answered every single one of those questions with as much or more depth than anyone else in the race,” he said.

Referring to Donald Trump, Marco Rubio suggested that he had successfully tapped into the anger in New Hampshire about diminishing jobs and manufacturing in the state.

“Donald Trump is not going to be the Republican nominee … ultimately to be president you can’t just go around telling people what’s wrong, you have to tell people how you’re going to fix it.”
Blog Author's Comments -- I most definitely want Donald Trump as the GOP nominee over Marco Rubio. He has said he is bored being a Senator which is why he has missed so many meetings and votes on bills that the Republican Party could have used. If he became the president would he eventually get 'bored' with that also? Rubio is one of the candidates who is being helped by the 'Republican/Washington Establishment', which is another reason to be against him. In the last paragraph of this column Rubio says “Donald Trump is not going to be the Republican nominee … ultimately to be president you can’t just go around telling people what’s wrong, you have to tell people how you’re going to fix it.”

It appears to me that Donald Trump is gaining support by telling many voters what they have wanted to hear from a candidate for quite a while. He is addressing what is wrong with the country and what should be changed to "Make America Great Again." He has also given many of the other candidates their talking points. Many of us have not forgotten that Rubio was a member of the 'Gang of Eight', a group made up of Republican and Democratic Party members of congress who were pushing for a bill to allow illegals into the country and give them a path to citizenship. That alone is enough for me to never want Marco Rubio elected to a higher office then he presently is.

Does Ted Cruz Have A Truth Problem Or CNN?

Ted Cruz Apologizes And Then Lies About
What Happened Concerning Dr. Ben Carson

Blog Author's Comments -- For anyone paying attention, Ted Cruz keeps digging himself a deeper hole with the situation concerning what his staff did or did not do with the information that was put out to CNN about Dr. Ben Carson in the Iowa primary.

Rush Limbaugh tried to spin what happened with the Cruz camp and then again with Rubio’s debate performance Saturday, February 6, but I don’t think it will work. He continues to be a cheerleader for Ted Cruz. But, he says he is not endorsing any of the Republican candidates. He still does not consider Trump a serious candidate and obviously prefers Cruz. But I believe he would settle for Rubio as the GOP nominee.

Marco Rubio: My Senate Votes "Don't Count"

Shark Tank -- Most Americans may not remember back in 2010 when then-Senate candidate Marco Rubio was running on a “Washington is broken” and “Reclaim America” platform, but Floridians who voted for the junior Senator sure do.

Appearing on the Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends,” Rubio was asked to discuss the recent attacks he has endured about his missed votes in the Senate as he runs for president.

Washington is completely broken, and that’s why I’m running for president, because these votes taken in Washington they don’t count. -Senator Marco Rubio

Rubio then added, “half the things that happen in Washington are for show and for talk.”

Dude, even if it’s true, don’t say it. Really? Who wants to hear this from their sitting Senator?

Maybe Rubio should have quit the Senate to run for president.

So, Rubio believes the votes he was elected to take, and paid for by the American taxpayer “don’t count,” and is admitting that “half the things” he has done while a sitting U.S. Senator has just been for “show?”

Remember, Rubio wanted this job, and actually stated on numerous occasions that he wanted to be a U.S. Senator to help fix a “broken” Washington.

Meanwhile, Senator Ted Cruz, who hasn’t complained about the job he was elected to do, and billionaire Donald Trump, are both at the very top of the field of 2016 Republican presidential candidates in just about all of the early primary and caucus states.
Blog Author's Comments -- His votes didn't count because he didn't make them count. All those votes came with consequences which effected the American public. Washington is corrupt and broken and Rubio isn't even close to being the one to fix it.

Being a Senator is not just warming a seat and pulling the yea / nay lever occasionally. It is a position of leadership, as each Senator debates with his contemporaries to swing them to a certain position in a debate. These days, Rubio occasionally warms his Senate seat, while exhibiting little leadership in the Senate. His last leadership move that I recall is being a part of the gang of 8, Democrats and RINO's (Bennet, Schumer, McCain, Graham, Durbin, Flake, Menendez and Rubio). They were pushing to help the illegals and give them a path to citizenship. Do we want to elect a president who would do that?

Furious Republican Rips Marco Rubio

WND -- Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., is ripping Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and other Republicans for facilitating the Democratic approach to immigration reform and deceiving the American people about what’s in the legislation.

Rubio stated repeatedly in recent weeks that effective border security was essential to getting his vote for the final version, despite his role in drafting the original bill. Earlier this week, however, Rubio told a Univision audience, in Spanish, that the effort to legalize the millions of illegal immigrants in the U.S. was the top priority.

“Let’s be clear,” Rubio said. “Nobody is talking about preventing the legalization. The legalization is going to happen. That means the following will happen: First comes the legalization. Then come the measures to secure the border. And then comes the process of permanent residence.”

Rohrabacher is not impressed.

“Rubio is so mixed up and so confused. I think he has given up his rightful place to advise any of us in Washington what to do, and he’s given up any right to be trusted by the American people,” he said.

Rubio tried to clarify his comments by saying that effective border security would be needed to trigger permanent legal status or citizenship for current illegals, but that temporary legal status would be conferred as soon as the bill is passed.

“This is just a lot of weasel words that Rubio and these people are throwing in. They’re going to legalize the status of people here illegally. Once they do that, that is an amnesty. And once they do that, there will be no border security improvements. It’ll all be a facade,” said Rohrabacher, who warned this bill would only attract tens of millions more illegal aliens.

Also this week, the Senate voted down an amendment to the immigration bill by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, that would require border security to be in place before any legal status is given to illegals. All four Republicans in the Gang of Eight voted against the amendment.

“That shows you exactly what the intent of the people pushing the legislation is, the fact that they couldn’t put legitimate triggers into the bill so we’d be able to determine whether the more had been made more secure. So the fact they had to vote that down in the Senate shows you that they’re not serious and they’re lying to us when they say otherwise,” said Rohrabacher, who vowed he will not vote for any bill that legalizes the status of anyone who came to this country illegally.

But it’s not just the Republicans in the Gang of Eight who are pushing the GOP to get behind the bill. Rohrabacher revealed it’s coming from all angles.

“We have been in an era of massive propaganda and pressure on each and every one of us, from the big-moneyed interests in our districts who want cheap labor to the liberal news media that want to further the cause of the liberal left. They’ve been pushing, pushing, pushing,” Rohrabacher said.

House Speaker John Boehner said immigration reform is his top priority and may not necessarily demand a majority of support from Republicans before bringing a bill to the floor. But Rohrabacher said that would be completely unacceptable.

“I would consider that a betrayal of the Republican members of the House and a betrayal of Republicans throughout the country,” he said. “If Speaker Boehner moves forward and permits this to come to a vote even though a majority of Republicans in the House oppose whatever is coming to a vote, he should be removed as speaker.”

Roohrabacher also fears House and Senate leaders may try to ram this bill through before summer recess, giving members little time to read the bill and Americans no chance to confront their lawmakers over the break. He said doing that would be a “declaration of war” against opponents of legalization and a “betrayal of the American people.”
Blog author's comments - The Republican Party needs more people like Rep. Rohrabacher. I am quite tired of hearing Sen. Marco Rubio talk about the passage of immigration reform for the illegals. I don't know if I ever saw a new Senator become a RINO faster than Rubio has. He has lost all trust I may have had in him. He has also done harm to his future political career but that does not matter to me. What I do care about is what the passage of an immigration reform bill will do to the country. It is a quick pathway to citizenship for the illegals.

Also, Speaker John Boehner wants to pass an immigration reform bill in the House. Unless the House Republicans balk at this and refuse to allow the party to commit political suicide, which is what this is, the Republican Party will never elect another president. What is so maddening is that the 'Gang of Eight' in the Senate and Speaker of the House Boehner can't see what they are doing and are fast tracking this.

Many Republicans believe if they do not pass an immigration reform bill they have no chance in the election of 2016. What they should be doing is concentrating on holding the House and picking up seats in the Senate in 2014 with the midterm elections. The majority of Hispanic people will never vote for the candidates of the Republican Party. They have not so far so why do the GOP legislators believe this will change? Lastly, border security will never happen. If I were a legislator I would want secure borders first before immigration reform is ever discussed.

Ann Coulter Hammers GOP Sen. Marco Rubio on Immigration

“This will be a disaster for the Republican Party. The entire country will become California. And Republicans, maybe they’ll have a few good years, but then it will be over and they will never win another national election. Thank you, Marco Rubio.”

Ann Coulter Blasts Immigration Bill And Rubio,
Calls Rubio The Jack Kevorkian Of The Republican Party

Ann Coulter's column this week: If The GOP Is This Stupid, It Deserves To Die

Blog author's comments - I don't agree with many things Ann Coulter says and most of the people she backs or indorses... but she is correct in her assessment of Marco Rubio and the Republican Party. Those of us, who care about what is being done to the country by the Obama administration and the liberals, cannot understand how some members of the GOP don't recognize what they are doing with their push for an amnesty bill for the illegals.

There is polling data that shows the American people want enforcement of the borders first by a 4-to-1 margin before any type of immigration reform bill is discussed. Apparently the 'Gang of Eight' doesn’t agree and they are pushing ahead with their plan. As I see it the Republican Party will lose very little if they don't have the backing of the Hispanic voters because they did not have it in the election of 2012. At least 70 percent of the Hispanic voters are going to vote for the Democrats. If an amnesty bill passes the GOP controlled House it will soon be the end of the Republican Party.
