Sen. Rand Paul Warns of Exodus From
Republican Party if GOP Senators Back Impeachment

Blog Author's Input: There is already going to be an exodus from the GOP due to their failure to put up any resistance to the Leftists and Media's massive electoral fraud, while President Trump who was the best thing that has happened to the party in decades was removed. Is a political party with thinking much like President Trump too much to ask for, where American workers and families interests are front and center? At the very least more candidates who can fight are needed, because the President has been carrying a lot of dead weight that has not helped him or his supporters.

I am convinced that all Democrat lawmakers despise President Trump and many leaders of the GOP dislike him. Before Trump they were exchanging favors and building business empires during their time in Congress while selling the U.S. to China and other countries. He came along and expected them to work for the people, many apparently did not like that. They don't want to change a system that works so well for them.

They worked together to get rid of him and his style of leadership. Now they are hoping that people around the world will soon forget what just happened. Many from both parties are in the process of erasing the very benchmark President Trump set. He exposed the swamp that was protected on both sides of the aisle. It seems the Democrats have trained the minds of their voters and they have 99% of the media, this is difficult to overcome but President Trump was doing it.

The GOP Establishment Needs To Realize
There Is No Way Forward Without Trump Voters...

Blog Author's Input: The GOP establishment must recognize there is no way forward without the Trump voters, and the Trump voters demand a challenge of the election results. His supporters will never forget what the Democratic Party and some Republican Mayors and Governors of key cities and states did to 'cheat' and hide highly obvious fraud, to take the second term away from the President and attempt to install a crooked, perverted old simpleton and deceiver who everyone knows cannot do the job.

There are now two factions of the Republican Party, patriots and traitors, but most of the back-stabbers are spineless with President Trump in the White House. For me the true disappointments are the worthless members of the Supreme Court who would not even take the case and hear the mountain of evidence which would most certainly be enough to overturn the results of the swing states, and keep the President in office.

The Republican Party has failed the American people. Donald Trump is the person they should be supporting, if not, I and many other voters are through with them. We cannot go forward with rampant corruption in our elections. Now that we have had a leader such as the President, the GOP is going to have an extremely tough time reverting back to the “good old days”. Any Republican whether a member of Congress or voter that willingly goes along with this fraudulent election is indeed a betrayer and I want nothing to do with any of them.

The GOP Knocks It Out Of The Park, Releases
Brilliant And Ruthless Ad Against The Democrats

The GOP has really knocked it out of the park with their absolutely brilliant new political ad — just in time for the midterm elections.

The commercial, titled “The Left in 2018: Unhinged,” showcases how the Democratic Party has been radicalizing.

The well produced ad opens with Senator Bernie Sanders saying, “a few years ago, ideas that we talked about were thought to be fringe ideas, radical ideas, extremist ideas — those ideas are now mainstream,” over footage of graffiti that reads “revolution or death” and Kathy Griffin holding President Trump’s severed head.

It goes on to feature the bullying of White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, Johnny Depp talking about assassinating the president, and Madonna talking about blowing up the White House.

The ad, which does not mention any specific GOP candidates, is sharp, shocking, and absolutely what the GOP needs to invigorate their base and bring in rational independents who are sick of the insanity.
(Via: JH)
Blog Author's Comments: Yet again, the Democrats proving that Liberal, Progressivism is a serious mental disease, and if left untreated will be fatal, to someone. The way to defeat them is at the polls, that's the purpose of the ad. The U.S. is not a banana republic yet. The ad doesn't go far enough.

The deep state needs to be exposed as well. Many Americans still do not understand the depth of corruption in our government. The Left and Deep State have provided enough material to do a series of ads, all with the title of Unhinged. Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. We have a fight on our hands and can not expect President Trump to do it alone. Vote, because the survival of the nation depends on it.

Comey: GOP 'Has Left Me And Many
Others' And Become Party Of Trump

Former FBI Director James Comey in a new interview railed against the Republican Party, saying he thinks the GOP has lost its way.

"The Republican Party has left me and many others," Comey, who was a registered Republican for most of his life, said during an interview on the ABC News podcast "Start Here" when asked whether he still considers himself a Republican in his "heart of hearts."

"I just think they've lost their way and I can't be associated with it."

Comey said he saw the change in the party take place starting with President Trump's campaign. He said the GOP has continued to change over the course of the Trump presidency.

"These people don't represent anything that I believe in," he said.

He added that he thinks the Republican Party now reflects "entirely Donald Trump's values."

Blog Author's Comments: Comey said, "These people don't represent anything that I believe in." He thinks the Republican Party now reflects "entirely Donald Trump's values." Someone should tell Comey, that is the reason Trump was elected and you are no longer employed by the FBI. Everything democrats stand for goes against what America was founded on and against the Constitution. And to think this person ran the FBI.

And if President Trump had not defeated Hillary Clinton, the American public would not know just how politicized and criminal so much of the upper echelon within the government agencies has become. They exposed themselves for what they are. Comey is proving he is an embarrassment to real Law Enforcement Officers everywhere. President Trump and the American people are reforming the Republican Party. The socialist Democratic Party is where Comey belongs.

Fox News Chris Wallace Says
Republicans Could Lose 40 House Seats

Wayne Dupree -- I am not sure if Fox News has random drug testing, but I think Chris Wallace needs to be checked out immediately. After all President Trump’s victories over the last year, Wallace says Republicans will lose up to 40 seats in the mid-term elections.
On “Shepard Smith Reporting,” Chris Wallace said Republicans have reason to be very concerned about 2018.

He pointed to recent Democratic wins in the Virginia gubernatorial election and the Alabama Senate special election.

“You see a very energized Democratic voter base, especially among suburban women, young people, minorities,” Wallace said.

“We’re an eternity away, it’s 11 months away, but this is going to be a tough election for Republicans,” he said. “And obviously, any effort of the president to pass his agenda would really be put in jeopardy were Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats to take back control of the House.”

This man is on some very strange trip to make a statement like this.
Trump’s accomplishments (in spite of obstructionists) are overwhelming! Wallace stating that “most Americans are not happy with the tax bill.” Who gave him those talking points. It is definitely not the original Trump proposal, but we are glad to get it! Without Trump, we would not even have this much. Have we forgotten what we would have had with Hillary?

I quit watching Fox News a while ago. I can understand ‘balancing’ the news, but rationalizing false premise is not reporting it is entertainment ANNDDD I don’t find crass stupidity entertaining in the least.

I have never put any reliance into anything Chris Wallace says. Listen to him. Listen to other liberal pundits and news channels. Get differing perspectives. Form an educated opinion of your own.
1.Virginia has been relatively blue for some time now.

2.The Alabama special election was a blip on the radar. Everyone knows it had unique circumstances involved including questions regarding the possibility of voter fraud (Roy Moore has yet to concede). A very bad Republican candidate barely got defeated by the Dem candidate. Are they excited they won? Of course. But they are nowhere near turning Alabama blue.
The 2018 midterms could be tough on Democrats. Most Americans love the tax cut plan. Next is Welfare reform and illegals out, people off drugs and back to work and responsible for their own actions. Jobs are available.

My opinion? I DONT BELIEVE THE POLLS! EVERYONE I KNOW or have spoken with on the issue of Trump, that voted for him, is still in support of him.
Blog Author's Comments: Chris Wallace is a card carrying Democrat, believe very little that he says. He will find fault with President Trump and the GOP whenever he has the chance. Wallace has the same ideology as his father, left leaning. He is not a mind reader and has no way of knowing what will happen. But, he like all leftists refuses to watch and learn. When Donald Trump appears anywhere, whether at an airport, at his rallies, Americans show up to listen to him. Tainted by New York and California liberalism, Wallace has no way to see a clear picture of the truth. That is why the polls consistently showing Trump way behind Clinton, were ignored by his voters.

Trump has just as much if not more support as he did when he was elected. I believe the republicans will hold both the House and Senate. The majority of seats they lose will be occupied by other republicans. We want to vote out anyone who is not behind Trump. If Wallace thinks the democrats are energized, I don’t see it. The Republicans simply need to get out and vote in the mid-terms. Like Shepard Smith, Chris Wallace and a few others on Fox News, they just can't hide there politics anymore. Because liberals cannot keep their mouths shut. Voters - do not believe Chris Wallace’s prediction.

Eric Cantor Calls On Obama To Make Immigration Deal

Newsmax -- House Majority Leader Eric Cantor has urged President Barack Obama to make a deal on immigration, especially amnesty reform for children of illegal immigrants.

But during an interview with CBS 6 in Virginia, Cantor warned Obama that his "my highway or the highway" approach to reform would not lead to legislation being passed during his tenure.

"I have told the president, there are some things we can work on together," said Cantor, who is facing a challenge from tea party candidate Dave Brat, an economics professor, in Tuesday’s GOP primary in Virginia.

Referring to a possible amnesty deal for millions of undocumented children, he added, "We can work on the border security bill together, we can work on something like the kids.

"So far, the president has just insisted that it’s all or nothing, [it is] my way or the highway. That’s not going to happen."

Brat, who teaches at Randolph-Macon College near Richmond, Virginia, has slammed Cantor’s immigration reform stance during the campaign.

"Eric Cantor is saying we should bring more folks into the country, increase the labor supply — and by doing so, lower wage rates for the working person," Brat said, according to Reuters. "His policies make no sense."[...]

Although Cantor has attacked the comprehensive immigration reform bill passed by the Senate last year, the Virginia Republican supported parts of the bill, such as proposals that kids would be allowed to stay in the United States and allowing companies to hire foreign workers.
Blog author's comments -- Obama breaks the law and ignores his Constitutional duty and all the Republican leadership looks for is to 'make a deal'. And Cantor's name has been mentioned as being the next Speaker of the House if the GOP House members decide to remove Boehner as the speaker which they should. But Cantor should not be the next speaker. House majority leader Eric Cantor showed how out of touch he is with the conservative base when he called on Barack Obama to make a deal on immigration. Dave Brat, who is challenging House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) in Tuesday's primary, believes Cantor betrayed his district on amnesty and shares the blame for surge in illegal immigrant children flooding into the country.

I cannot believe that amnesty is not political suicide for any Republican seeking re-election. Even some people who have come here legally and are now citizens do not want this. But, enforcing the existing laws on the books is not the Obama way. He sees illegals as future Democratic Party voters. Obama is now funding attorneys to help illegal aliens avoid deportation. I assume John Boehner still wants to pass an amnesty bill in the House before the midterm elections. This would not be of any help to the GOP who should be trying to retain control of the House and possibly gain control of the Senate. I doubt that Boehner will complete the two years of his next term. I think he is ready to leave the mess he helped to create and retire.

Poll: 58% Of GOP Oppose Citizenship For Illegals

Washington Examiner -- Republican leaders eyeing immigration reform have been shaken by new polling that shows a majority of their supporters oppose immigration reform, the Dream Act and citizenship.

“The leadership should run from this one,” said a key House leadership advisor.

According to a new YouGov poll, Republican voters are strongly opposed to the so-called “pathway to citizenship,” which some interpret as amnesty even if immigrants have to pay a fine. According to YouGov, 58 percent of Republicans oppose “providing a legal way for illegal immigrants already in the United States to become U.S. citizens.”

It breaks down this way among Republicans: 33 percent don’t want illegals to be given any legal status, 23 percent would grant only temporary residency, 13 percent would grant permanent residency but not citizenship, and 27 percent would create a pathway to citizenship.

Democrats have long supported immigration reform and have been rewarded with votes from legal immigrants, making the issue extremely partisan.

The poll provides more ammo to those in the GOP urging House Speaker John Boehner and other leaders to back away from the issue until after the midterm elections.

Entire column > >
Blog author’s comments – John Boehner are you paying attention? We do not want the illegals given amnesty. We have laws they should follow if they want to become a legal citizen of the United States. I am surprised the percentage is only 58%. And despite the talking points of the left, I have a feeling that a high percentage of Democrat citizens, not lawmakers, also oppose illegal immigration.

I suspect this is another issue that the low information/intelligence voters simply do not understand which is the effect this would have on them and what it would cost the country. This is much like Obamacare, they'll understand it after it impacts them which will be too late. The only illegal immigration bill the GOP should be working on is to secure the borders.

But chances for a broad immigration bill to pass this year took a major hit Thursday when House Speaker John Boehner ruled out any action until President Obama proves to Republicans’ satisfaction that he is serious about enforcing the laws and no longer will try to work around Congress. I must assume the pressure Boehner has been feeling has changed his mind at least for the time being. Obama will promise whatever he thinks will satisfy the Republicans, but he has lied many times before. The White House still remains optimistic that the GOP will pass a bill that will grant some kind of legal status for illegal immigrants.

From what I'm reading, not many believe that Boehner won't pass amnesty, even if he has to wait until after the elections to do so. He has created as much distrust of the Republican leadership as he is claiming the House membership feels about Obama. This issue for the Democrats is not and never has been to secure the borders, it is to increase the voter base for the Democratic Party. I hope Boehner's price for pushing this is enough to warrant losing his Speakership if the GOP holds the House.

House Leaders Campaign For Amnesty

Politico -- CAMBRIDGE, Md. — The House Republican leadership is trying to sell their colleagues on a series of broad immigration principles, including a path to legal status for those here illegally.

Speaker John Boehner’s leadership team introduced the principles at their annual policy retreat here. Top Republicans circulated a tightly held one-page memo titled “standards for immigration reform” toward the tail-end of a day that include strategy conversations about Obamacare, the economy and the national debt.

In the private meeting where the language was introduced, Boehner (R-Ohio) told Republicans that the standards are “as far as we are willing to go.”

”Nancy Pelosi said yesterday that for her caucus, it is a special path to citizenship or nothing,” Boehner said, according to a source in the room. “If Democrats insist on that, then we are not going to get anywhere this year.”

Boehner said the standards represent “a fair, principled way for us to solve this issue.”

The strategy marks a shift for House Republicans. In 2013, Boehner’s chamber ignored the bipartisan immigration reform bill passed by the Senate. But toward the end of last year and early this year, Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) began hashing out this approach to rally Republicans toward reform.

“It’s important to act on immigration reform because we’re focused on jobs and economic growth, and this is about jobs and growth,” Boehner said in his pitch in the closed meeting. “Reform is also about our national security. The safety and security of our nation depends on our ability to secure our border, enforce our laws, improve channels for legal entry to the country, and identify who is here illegally.”

Entire column > >
Blog author’s comments – What the Republican ‘leadership’ is doing is insane. Just when they have a good chance of both retaining the House and perhaps winning control of the Senate, they now believe that passing an immigration bill will help the party and the country. Instead of continuing to campaign on what Obama and the Democrats have already done to America with Obamacare, they take the focus off of that and want to pass an immigration reform bill which the majority of the people do not want.

This could well be the end of the Republican Party. We haven't seen the GOP act much like the opposition party yet. Whenever some Republicans do pop up in opposition, they get cut down by other Republicans. We already have a pathway for the illegals to citizenship, follow the laws which are already in place. What the Republicans are doing is fantastic for the Democrats. If the House bill passes, the Democrats will be well on their way to a permanent majority. But for whatever reason the Republican Party leadership cannot see that.

I Got 30 Million Reasons - by Ann Coulter

anncoulter.com -- We keep hearing insistent claims that if Republicans don't pass amnesty yesterday it will be the end of the party.

Can I see the math on that? I can see why bringing in 30 million new Democratic voters would be good for the Democrats, but how does it help Republicans? Maybe conservatives shouldn't blindly trust the calculations of the guy who graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at the U.S. Naval Academy.

If I were a Democrat, I would have tried to sneak this bill past Republicans by proposing amnesty only after reaching some easily rigged benchmarks. But, apparently, Chuck Schumer knows elected Republicans better than I do.

Step One: Everyone's amnestied. Step Two: After they're amnestied, they can bring in all their relatives.

If Hispanics voted 50.1 percent for Democrats, amnesty would be a bad deal for Republicans. But, in fact, they vote 70 percent to 80 percent for Democrats. How did it become an urgent priority for Republicans to bring in 30 million new voters, 80 percent of whom will vote Democratic?

Democrats want 30 million new voters and they will say anything to get there:

-- It's a crisis! Illegal immigrants are "living in the shadows"!

That's not a "crisis." At most -- and this is highly dubious -- it's a crisis for the illegal immigrants. But evidently, "living in the shadows" is at least better than living in Guadalajara. Otherwise, there's an easy solution.

We're told, "You don't know what it's like to live in the shadows!" Yes, you're right, and that proves it's not a crisis.

Sorry to sound legalistic, illegal aliens, but you broke the law and -- look me in the eye -- you know you broke the law. You hid in the backs of trucks, traveled across remote desert locations, ran from U.S. agents and stole American IDs.

It's supposed to be uncomfortable to break the law. We aren't required to grant amnesty to people just because they've put themselves in the awkward position of being here illegally. (Or because the Democrats need 30 million new voters.)

If illegals were Republicans, Chuck Schumer would be a "Minuteman," patrolling the Mexican border 24-7.

-- Oh boy! Are Hispanics ever going to take revenge on Republicans!

The obvious retort is: If these people vote 80 percent against Republicans, how does it hurt Republicans if they can't vote? Is the claim that next time legal Hispanics vote against you, they'll have an angry glint in their eye? Voting machines don't register angry glints.

-- How could any decent person be against granting amnesty to lawbreakers?

In common parlance, "the decent thing to do" is usually defined as "following the law." The fact that Democrats want 30 million new voters is not a good enough reason to ignore the law and screw over the millions of people who have been waiting 20 years to immigrate here legally.

-- We already have "de facto amnesty."

I gather Marco Rubio considers this his big showstopper, since he says it in every interview as if he's announcing the Kochen-Specker theorem. But if we already have de facto amnesty, why is this bill even necessary? Oh, that's right! The Democrats need 30 million new voters.

Blog author's comments - I don't often read Ann Coulter's column but what she said in her column this week is correct. Neither I nor any conservative can explain the thinking, comments, speeches and votes of some so-called Republicans such as McCain, Graham, Rubio and others...who aligned themselves with the Democrats...in their successful effort in passing an immigration amnesty bill for the illegals in the Senate. Now Paul Ryan is pushing for much of the same in the House.

If a bill which contains what was in the Senate bill passes in the Republican controlled House it is over for the GOP. I also believe many Republican voters...if that happens... will stay away from the polls in the 2014 elections which is a must win election for the Republican Party to retain control of the House. They have to attempt to stop Obama from doing much more damage to our country during his last two years in office.

I would like one of the Republican backers of the amnesty bill to explain how giving the illegal immigrants amnesty will help the Republican Party. As Ann Coulter said the Hispanics will not support the Republican Party. So if they are given amnesty and the right to vote the GOP will never again elect a president. This is exactly what Barack Obama and the Democrats want and sadly many members of the Republican Party seem as if they are willing to give it to them.

I have covered much of the same... ad nauseam... in a few posts on my blog:

Ann Coulter's column this week: If The GOP Is This Stupid, It Deserves To Die

Blog author's comments - I don't agree with many things Ann Coulter says and most of the people she backs or indorses... but she is correct in her assessment of Marco Rubio and the Republican Party. Those of us, who care about what is being done to the country by the Obama administration and the liberals, cannot understand how some members of the GOP don't recognize what they are doing with their push for an amnesty bill for the illegals.

There is polling data that shows the American people want enforcement of the borders first by a 4-to-1 margin before any type of immigration reform bill is discussed. Apparently the 'Gang of Eight' doesn’t agree and they are pushing ahead with their plan. As I see it the Republican Party will lose very little if they don't have the backing of the Hispanic voters because they did not have it in the election of 2012. At least 70 percent of the Hispanic voters are going to vote for the Democrats. If an amnesty bill passes the GOP controlled House it will soon be the end of the Republican Party.

Rep. Todd Akin - Refuses To Remove Himself From Senate Race in Missouri

Hannity And Coulter Blast Todd Akin For 'Hurting The Republican Party'

Mediaite -- Wednesday night on Hannity, conservative columnist Ann Coulter and host Sean Hannity strongly expressed their mutual disappointment in GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin‘s refusal to step aside in the wake of his controversial comments on rape and pregnancy.

“This selfish swine, Todd Akin, is going to hurt the Republican Party,” Coulter bluntly said.

The two then lamented what they see as a double-standard in which President Barack Obama is “utterly silent on Bill Maher, silent on Romney being called a ‘murderer’, causing this woman’s cancer. He is silent on the ‘felony’ talk. He is saying that Republicans want dirty air and water. He doesn’t get called out for it. This is a campaign of smear and slander.”

Coulter agreed, adding that “Todd Akin is being attacked for saying stupid about rape. The Democrats’ keynote speaker [Bill Clinton] is someone who was credibly accused of rape. [...] We can’t have a war on women because the Democrats have won that war between Teddy Kennedy, Bill Clinton, and Anthony Weiner.”

“We have gone from an easy win to a loss,” Coulter lamented. “And you might say, what Todd Akin cares about is stop overruling Roe v. Wade. I don’t think he does.”

“What he cares about is his own ego,” she continued. “He was showing off, fancy footwork and what he knows about the medical impact of rape on a woman’s body. He has harmed the Republican Party, and this is not a time to be fooling around.”

Blog author's comments - The comment by Todd Akin on rape and pregnancy obviously should never have been made. He should now drop out of the election for the good of the Republican Party and overall campaign. But, apparently he has put himself above the Party.

Instead of the Todd Akin blunder, the focus should be on what Obama has done to the country, his agenda, the economy, the debt, the high unemployment rate, Obamacare and the fact that until Obama is out of office there will not be any significant upsurge in the overall economy and job creation.

Also if Akin stays in the race, current Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri could retain her Senate seat and with her record she is one Democrat Senator who should have been easily defeated in November.

Akin's comment will now be used by the Democrats to create lies that Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and the Republican Party agree with him and are against the rights of women.

My position on what Akin said is that we currently have laws which make abortion legal. I am not going to tell any woman what she should or should not do with regard to abortion, especially in the case of a rape. However, I don't believe the government should use taxpayers' money to fund abortions. I also don't agree that health insurance companies should be forced to cover abortions.

ST. LOUIS, MO ( KTVI) -U.S. Rep. Todd Akin says he misspoke when making a comment about rape and abortion during the taping of The Jaco Report on FOX 2. That remark made national headlines and sparked responses from both Akin’s opponent, Sen. Claire McCaskill and presidential hopeful Mitt Romney.

During that interview the congressman and U.S. Senate candidate was asked whether abortion should be allowed in the case of rape.

Akin’s response was that it was his understanding from doctors that it’s rare for someone to become pregnant from rape. He said, “The female body has ways to try and shut that whole thing down.”

He went on to say that punishment should be on the rapist and not the child. Democrats started circulating his comment after the show aired citing statistics regarding rape and pregnancy.[...]

Mitt Romney Picks Paul Ryan as VP Running Mate

Romney completes GOP ticket with Rep. Ryan

Fox News -- Mitt Romney announced Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate Saturday, selecting the Republican Party's go-to man on budget issues in a decision that signals the campaign will make the nation's spiraling debt a centerpiece of its attacks on President Obama.

Romney made the selection official during a campaign stop Saturday morning in Norfolk, Va., before launching a four-day bus tour.

The Republican presidential candidate called his new running mate a man of "steadiness" and "integrity." Speaking Saturday morning, Romney praised Ryan as an "intellectual leader" of the party, one who understands the toll the debt is taking on the country but is optimistic about the future.

"He doesn't demonize his opponents. He understands that honorable people can have honest differences and he appeals to the better angels of our nature," Romney said. "He's never been content to just curse the darkness. He'd rather light candles."

To the backdrop of retired battleship USS Wisconsin, an energized Ryan then riled up the crowd with a feisty speech that promoted Romney as the solution to the problems under President Obama. Ryan, met with chants of "USA, USA," gave a sweeping vision speech on free enterprise, one laced with attacks on the White House incumbent.

"No one disputes that President Obama inherited a difficult situation. And, in his first two years, with his party in complete control of Washington, he passed nearly every item on his agenda. But that didn't make things better," Ryan said. "In fact, we find ourselves in a nation facing debt, doubt and despair."

Paul Ryan's Full Speech At Vice Presidential Announcement

Blog author's comments - I am pleased with the choice of Paul Ryan. He should help to energize the Republican Party's campaign. The voters will ultimately choose between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama but, Ryan could possibly make a difference in the outcome of the election by helping to motivate the GOP base and win some independents.

We shall see what the voters want for their country. We will also find out what they feel the government should or should not do for them. Do they want to make their own life choices or do they want the government to care for them?

Of course the attack ads and lies against Romney and Ryan will now come raining down from the liberals at a non-stop pace. The Democrats have nothing else. They cannot run on Obama's record, in my opinion he has been a dismal failure.

Republican Establishment Fears Gingrich

Why the establishment fears Newt Gingrich

Washington Post (By Robert S. Walker) - After Newt Gingrich rose in the polls, criticism of the former House speaker began grabbing headlines. But Republican establishment attacks on Newt are not new. Newt’s political career has been devoted to mounting a conservative challenge to the establishment’s desire to play the Washington power game of go along to get along.

As a junior congressman, Newt founded the Conservative Opportunity Society (COS), a group of activist members of Congress whose goal was to challenge the liberal welfare state but whose first target was the Republican establishment in the House of Representatives. The “old bulls” who dominated the party in the House had become quite comfortable in their minority status and saw little chance they would ever become a majority.

Newt and the COS knew that, to create a true conservative agenda, the party needed to focus on becoming a majority. They used the House floor and C-SPAN to promote their ideas. They attacked spending bills and efforts to expand government, some of which the establishment had endorsed.

When Newt became speaker, he was focused, disciplined and tough. He insisted on moving the Contract With America intact. He abolished committees and denied “old bulls” chairmanships. He insisted on using the majority to win conservative victories such as balancing budgets, achieving welfare reform and producing 11 million new jobs with tax cuts that spurred economic growth. He made some people unhappy when he pursued legislation that could win instead of pet bills that would have divided Republicans.

It boils down to this: Newt Gingrich is a conservative; the establishment prefers moderates. Newt prefers to stand up and debate conservative ideas and ideals; the establishment prefers to keep people guessing. Newt is a proven leader, someone with the background, understanding, vision and discipline to be our president; the establishment fears that he just might win. - Entire column...

Blog author's comments - I believe Mitt Romney is the choice of the Republican establishment. Should Romney win the nomination I don't have confidence that he can oust Obama from the White House. I hope that I am wrong.

Romney, Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann have been in attack mode against Gingrich and it appears to be working - if we can believe the polls. But, there have not been any votes cast yet.

Gov. Chris Christie said he would not run for the GOP nomination but, has endorsed Mitt Romney. Christie now says he would think about a possible VP spot.

This may draw those who like Christie to back Romney as the GOP candidate, with hope that if Romney should win the nomination he would chose Christie as his running mate.

Whoever wins the nomination has to take down Obama. America cannot withstand Obama as a two term President. He will have nothing to lose and will continue to destroy our country.

Obama - Senate Republicans Obstruct Jobs Act

The Presidents Weekly Address

Blog author's comments - It would be interesting to see how many weeks have gone by without Obama placing blame on the GOP.

During his Weekly Address Obama said, "It was so disappointing to see Senate Republicans obstruct the American Jobs Act, even though a majority of Senators voted “yes” to advance this jobs bill."

Obama needed something to run on while campaigning for the election of 2012. He obviously cannot run on his record of high unemployment, bad economy, terrible housing market, out of control spending etc.

He knew when he presented his bad piece of legislation that it would go down to defeat. He was counting on it. Even some of the Democrat Senators voted against it.

Obama would have been shocked if both houses of Congress had passed his bill. He needs the GOP to blame for his failure on job creation. He believes this bill is his key to a second term in office and it will be his main focal point while campaigning for the election of 2012.

Will Chris Christie Run For President In 2012?

Chris Christie back in spotlight as Perry sags

Politico - With the party’s front-runner sagging, Chris Christie is reconsidering pleas from Republican elites and donors to run for president in 2012, two Republican sources told POLITICO.

The New Jersey governor has indicated he is listening to big-money backers and Republican influence-makers, and will let them know in roughly a week whether he has moved off his threat-of-suicide vow to stay on the sidelines of a presidential race that remains amorphous heading into the fall, the two sources said.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry's candidacy has failed to clear a basic bar with elites and some donors, and his shoddy debate performance in Orlando has only highlighted the window for someone who Republicans searching for a Mitt Romney alternative can rally around.

Christie’s potential candidacy has been an increasingly fevered fantasy of a certain cadre of some media and business elites — mostly based in New York, with a smattering of California technology and entertainment players — since last summer. That’s when he showed up at a Sun Valley conference hosted by the investment banker Allen and Co. and wowed the crowd, including Rupert Murdoch, with what many in attendance described as a nimble mind and a speaking style that was both articulate and blunt-spoken.

But after months of going out of his way to end the speculation, Christie started indicating he would at least think about getting in.

Blog author's comments - Chris Christie has indicated he is at least listening to some influential Republicans who want him to join the race for the nomination. I remain doubtful that he will run but, overrall unhappiness with the current slate of GOP candidates has driven talk of Christie getting into the race.

Christie, and those close to him, have maintained that his entering the race is not going to happen. But several reports this weekend suggested Christie might be giving a campaign for president a second thought. A handful of news organizations reported Saturday that he could make an announcement this week.

The party has yet to get excited about a Romney candidacy and Perry's debate performances have left some in the GOP looking elsewhere. We shall see. The bottom line is that Obama must be defeated in 2012.

Dick Cheney - Tea Party Put Some Spine In GOP

Cheney: Tea Party Finally Gave GOP Backbone

CNBC - The Tea Party had a significant impact on putting “some spine” into the backs of Congressional Republicans during the debt ceiling debate, former Vice President Dick Cheney told Larry Kudlow Wednesday.

The threat to not raise the debt ceiling was controversial, he said, but it was effectively used to force the Obama administration to sign onto some significant reduction measures.

Republicans advocate bringing the deficit under control by reducing spending and what they see as excessive government programs, while Democrats advocate some spending cuts along with revenue increase in the form of higher taxes.

“I don’t think we would have gotten as far as we have without them sort of holding the feet to the fire of members of Congress,” Cheney said. - Entire column...

Blog author's comments - I have much respect for former VP Dick Chaney. I also think Cheney is correct concerning the Tea Party movement.

But, the problem still exists that many of the 'old guard' career GOP politicians still do not like the Tea Party and would rather back a presidential candidate in 2012 that does not support the Tea Party or is associated with it. Sometimes I don't believe they understand that the election of 2012 is a must win for the GOP and the country.

They don't seem to realize or will not admit the Tea Party played a large role in the big win for the Republican Party in the midterm elections.

I remember how dark things were for Republicans after Obama was elected. At that time not many on the right would have expected that the GOP could have regained control of the House and picked up Senate seats at the midterm.

Obama will always have his hard core base and the majority of the black vote but hopefully enough voters have seen what a disaster Obama has been for this country.

Sarah Palin - Pumps Up Iowa Party Faithful

Sarah Palin, In Iowa speech, says Republicans should unite

Palin At the Iowa Republican Ronald Reagan Dinner.

"This nonsense like today we see California auditors having to admit that there in L.A. there were a handful of jobs created with your stimulus money, about 50 some jobs to the tune of $111 million dollars, that's about $2.2 million dollars for every job saved or created there, and I'm the idiot? Hmmm, yeah"

Desmoines Register
Sarah Palin offered a full-throated call to arms for angry and out-of-power Republicans on Friday in front of an audience of some of the nation's most influential party activists as the headliner for a sold-out Iowa GOP fundraiser in Des Moines.

But the former Alaska governor only winked at the significance of her appearance in the state where the campaigns for the lead off presidential caucuses are expected to crank up in a matter of months.

Palin joked after taking the stage at Hy-Vee Hall that her husband, Todd, urged her to work out inside after they arrived in Des Moines on Friday.

"Todd says, 'I guarantee, if anyone spots you in tennis shoes, the headline is going to be in Vanity Fair. They're going to say, "Palin in Iowa, decides to run," Palin said.

Later, Palin batted away the buzz that confronted her in Iowa, urging the roughly 1,500 guests to focus on the election that's now less than seven weeks away.

"We can't wait until 2012 to get our country back on the right track," she said. "We need to start now by electing strong Republican leaders who aren't afraid to shake it up."- Entire column

Blog author's comments -I believe this was a good speech from Sarah Palin. I listened to her during the 2008 campaign and was able to meet her at a fundraiser I attended. I was impressed with the talk she gave at the fundraiser, but she is now much better, polished and confident.

That said, she has retained her freshness and does not sound to me like the typical ‘politician’. This is why her poll numbers continue to rise, even with the constant hit pieces from almost everyone on the left.

If she decides not to run for office again, she has become an excellent spokesperson for a conservative movement in the country. She is the type of person that is needed in our party and government. If the Republicans do prevail in 2010 and 2012, there will be a place for Palin in Washington if she desires it.

Hopefully it is not too late for a Republican push to regain the House, Senate and win the 2012 presidential election. I see much more liberalism in the country and these people will do whatever it takes to hang on to what they believe is rightfully theirs. The Democrats cannot be allowed to control our government and our lives.
