Many of us will well remember how Tea Party candidate Joe Miller was backed by Sarah Palin when he stunningly defeated Lisa Murkowski during the republican primary in 2010. However, Murkowski would not accept the primary defeat and the entitlement-minded incumbent ran as a write-in candidate, and enlisted the assistance of democrats in Alaska to retain her seat in the general election.
The Tea Party was furious at the level of elitist refusal to accept the primary defeat in 2010, and Senator Murkowski has been a thorn in the side of conservatives ever since. Murkowski’s vote today to block advancing the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh is yet another exhibition of her ideological self-interest.

The bureau has reached out to Deborah Ramirez, a Yale University classmate of Kavanaugh’s who alleges that he shoved his genitals in her face at a party where she had been drinking and become disoriented, her attorney said Saturday.
“She has agreed to cooperate with their investigation,” Ramirez attorney John Clune said in a statement. “Out of respect for the integrity of the process, we will have no further comment at this time.”

Straight from the mouth of Democratic leadership, it’s been confirmed that the left does not believe in the presumption of innocence for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
While some Democratic senators have suggested as much, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said it in no uncertain terms.
“No, it's not a legal proceeding; it's a fact-finding proceeding. We do this with every major nominee, and countless times, I think 10 times in the last year, when new information comes up, the FBI goes again and does its background check,” he said in response to a reporter’s question about whether Kavanaugh has the presumption of innocence.
“This is standard operating procedure, and the question looms: Why are our Republicans deviating from it …? This is not a criminal trial. This is not a -- a -- this is to find the facts,” he added.
The reporter sought to clarify Schumer’s remarks, asking again whether he believed in the presumption of innocence.
“I agree that we -- this is not -- that's a criminal trial,” he said. “What -- what I believe is we ought to get to the bottom and find the facts in the way that the FBI has always done. There's no presumption of innocence or guilt when you have a nominee before you. There is rather -- rather, find the facts. Find the facts, and then let the Senate and let the American people make their judgment not whether the person's guilty or innocent, but whether the person deserves to have the office for which he or she is chosen, plain and simple.”
Sens. Chris Coons, D-Del., and Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, have both responded in similar manners about whether Kavanaugh enjoys the presumption of innocence or not.

Mr. Schumer, the FBI has already stated that their background check of Judge Brett Kavanaugh is complete. Why do the progressives not listen to the agency they say they trust? Because, this is simply wanting more delay and an attempt to do, whatever they can with good people’s lives, for their political gain.
Schumer may be just as daft as he sounds. I personally have never heard him utter any truth. There is a presumption of innocence for Kavanaugh. There is no presumption of innocence for Schumer, because he continually lets us know how his small mind works. Schumer believes that presumption of innocence only applies to those on the left, and for them it is absolute. They feel they are never truly guilty of anything, because their motives are based on "caring." Caring for making a name for themselves within their party.

Note: This is only a vote in the Judiciary Committee–the vote must still advance to the Senate floor where Judge Kavanaugh must reach the magic number of 51-49 votes.
Senator Grassley then warned about Ms. Ramirez’s flimsy accusations against Kavanaugh as reported in the New Yorker, “As you know, false statements made to the press are not subject to criminal penalty, but false statements to Congress are.”

Christine Ford is supposed to testify on Thursday about her decades-old, uncorroborated sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh.
Ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said on Tuesday afternoon that she has “no way of knowing” if Christine Ford will show up to Thursday’s hearing to testify against Kavanaugh.
Feinstein’s statement was in response to the Senate Republicans hiring a female prosecutor experienced in sex crimes to question Christine Ford.
Senate Republicans have signaled they may be working through the weekend to confirm Judge Kavanaugh as quickly as possible.

A woman who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of exposing himself to her in college admitted that she made the allegation “because Senate Democrats came looking for this claim.”
On Sunday, The New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer published a report alleging that Deborah Ramirez, 53, accused President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee of exposing himself to her when they both attended Yale in the 1980s.
Farrow appeared on Good Morning America Monday where he was asked why Ramirez came forward.
“She came forward because Senate Democrats came looking for this claim,” Farrow said. “She did not flag this. This came to the attention of people on the hill independently, and it has cornered her into an awkward position. She said, point-blank, I don’t want to ruin anyone’s life, but she feels this is a serious claim. She considers her own memories credible and she felt it was important to tell her own story before others did for her.”
The news comes as every witness named by Kavanaugh’s first accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, denied being at the party where the sexual assault she alleged took place.

Chairman Grassley, must maintain control of the senators this week and hopefully his fellow Republicans can come to the correct conclusion that they should. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) predicted during the Values Voters Summit on Friday that “Judge Kavanaugh will be on the Supreme Court.”
Sen. McConnell predicted that the Senate will soon confirm President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee on Friday despite the accusations laid against Kavanaugh. Christine Blasey Ford, a California psychology professor, has accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when they were both in high school in the 1980s.
Ford alleges that in 1982, 17-year-old Kavanaugh and a friend pulled Ford into a room during a high school party in suburban Maryland, forced her onto a bed, and groped her over her clothing before she was able to escape.
McConnell continues to back Kavanaugh, saying that “President Trump has nominated a stunningly successful individual.”
Sen. McConnell charged that Senate Republicans must “wait out the obstruction” from Senate Democrats and that Kavanaugh will soon join President Trump’s other nominee, Neil Gorsuch, on the Supreme Court.
The Kentucky Republican said, “You’ve watched the fight. You’ve watched the tactics. But here’s what I want to tell you: in the very near future, Judge Kavanaugh will be on the United States Supreme Court,” to which the crowd erupted in thunderous applause.
“So my friends, keep the faith. Don’t be rattled by all of this. We’re going to plow right through it and do our jobs,” McConnell added.
“Even more nominees will be confirmed. They will be pro-family,” said McConnell.
McConnell also said that the record numbers of judicial confirmations are the “single most consequential things” the Senate does for the future of the country.
President Trump backed the Supreme Court nominee in a series of tweets on Friday, saying, “Judge Brett Kavanaugh is a fine man, with an impeccable reputation, who is under assault by radical left-wing politicians who don’t want to know the answers, they just want to destroy and delay. Facts don’t matter. I go through this with them every single day in D.C.”
Trump also called for Ford to provide details of Kavanaugh’s alleged assault against her.
“I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents,” Trump added. “I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!”

At least Anita Hill was somewhat credible but this accuser’s story keeps changing. If she was so traumatized and had to seek professional help one would think she would remember the simple details. Of course, there are the usual Republicans that are happy about this. The Never/Trumpers Jeff Flake and Bob Corker are talking about voting no on Kavanaugh. Neither is running for office in 2018 because they could not get reelected. Hopefully, they will be replaced by real conservatives in the mid-terms.
The Republicans do not use these tactics when the don't get their way, lose elections, or the Democrats nominate someone? Don’t talk about Merrick Garland, because the Republicans held the Senate and McConnell was following the 'Biden' rule. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley on Tuesday raised the possibility that next week’s high-stakes open hearing to examine the sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh could be canceled if the accuser doesn’t accept the committee’s invitation.
Grassley, R-Iowa, scheduled a hearing for Monday for Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Blasey Ford to answer questions from senators about the allegation. But Grassley said during a Tuesday radio interview that his office has reached out several times to Ford and her attorneys to discuss her allegation, but has heard nothing back.
But that was never the point, was it? The point was to pour blood into the water so that the sharks would be attracted and go into frenzy.

Meanwhile, the Judiciary Committee on Friday received a letter from 65 women who said they knew Kavanaugh from high school and vouched for him as a “good person.” The letter was addressed to Feinstein and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.
“We are women who have known Brett Kavanaugh for more than 35 years and knew him while he attended high school between 1979 and 1983,” the letter, obtained by Fox News, reads. “For the entire time we have known Brett Kavanaugh, he has behaved honorably and treated women with respect. We strongly believe it is important to convey this information to the committee at this time.”
Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley may hold a committee vote on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination as early as Thursday, and it looks as though the full Senate will vote on his nomination this month. The latest blow to the Democrats’ hopes came today from Senator Susan Collins, who denounced liberal efforts to pressure her to vote against the nomination:
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) says she is not swayed by crowdfunding aimed at encouraging her to oppose Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, comparing the effort to a “bribe.”
Two groups of Maine progressives have pledged to donate up to $1.3 million to Collins’s next opponent if the Maine senator votes to confirm Kavanaugh, Newsmax reported. Collins is not up for reelection until 2020.
“This effort will not influence my vote at all,” she added. “I think it demonstrates the new lows to which the judge’s opponents have stooped.”
That doesn’t sound like someone who is impressed by the Democrats’ disgusting antics.
It looks as though all Senate Republicans will vote to confirm, with Vice President Mike Pence available if needed as a backup. If that holds, Chuck Schumer will release red state Democrats who are up this year to vote to confirm, making Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation bipartisan.

"Bring it," a defiant Booker said. "I’m going to release the email about racial profiling," the New Jersey Democrat said as the third day of Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearings began in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Booker on Wednesday had asked Kavanaugh about a 2002 document in which, Booker claimed, the then-aide to President George W. Bush considered using racial profiling as a tool to battle terrorism after the terrorist attacks of September 11.
Kavanaugh, for his part, asked to review the email, but Booker tried to move on. Sen. Mike Lee, Utah Republican, though, said that the referenced email had been deemed "confidential" by the committee, which means it cannot be released or used to question a nominee.
In full grandstanding mode, Booker on Thursday said, “I come from a long line as all of us do as Americans of understanding what that kind of civil disobedience is and I understand the consequences,” he said. “I understand that the penalty comes with potential ousting from the Senate. If Senator [John] Cornyn believes that I have violated Senate rules, I openly invite and accept the consequences of my team releasing that email.”
Republicans ripped Booker for violating Senate rules. “Running for president is no excuse for violating the rules of the Senate or or of confidentiality of the documents we are privy to," said Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn, who later read a specific rule barring the use of confidential documents by senators.

He simply wanted to gain favorable attention and make it appear to be something important to the hearing. The so-called 'confidential' Kavanaugh emails did not exist which the fool Cory Booker boasted about. They had been cleared, despite the dramatic claim by Booker of defying Senate rules.
The Democrats have turned a serious event in history, into an extremely bizarre side show. They have shown for anyone that is interested, who and what they are and why they should never be allowed to gain political power or be trusted again. All of Booker's drama was for nothing, aside from his attempting to make political points for the 2020 election.
Committee Chairman Charles Grassley should have called the Democrat members bluff. And threaten to eject members of the Judiciary Committee from the Senate who refused to conduct themselves in a professional manner. The left has nothing to stop Judge Kavanaugh, so this is all they could do, in a attempt to make a name for themselves at the expense of the government and Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
All of this political theater by the Democrats and their very close cohorts the mainstream media, and the fact that the Democrats on the committee have made a sham of the confirmation procedure, made little difference to CNN, CBS or NBC. Even after Booker's claim to fame bubble was popped, they ran with the 'fake news' story for hours even though they knew what they were reporting was more lies.
Republicans Question Booker's Self-Produced Document Drama
Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) accused Democrats of going on a “fishing trip” for scandals in President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s past.
“For the last few weeks, Democrats have complained endlessly about documents,” he said on the Senate floor Thursday. “First, they said there weren’t enough documents. Then when the Judiciary Committee released a record-breaking number of documents, Democrats complained that there wasn’t enough time to review them all. They then complained that the documents weren’t public. When we made the documents public, Democrats were disappointed to find that they contained no smoking gun.”
Senate Democrats are currently threatening to sue if their Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for all documents related to Kavanaugh’s time in the George W. Bush White House is denied.
Hatch pointed out that “when Justice Kagan was nominated, the Senate did not ask for, nor did it receive, all of her records from her time in the Obama administration. In fact, the Senate never requested, and the Obama administration never provided, any of Justice Kagan’s records from her time as Solicitor General.”[…]
“Judge Kavanaugh’s court decisions are highly relevant to understanding his legal reasoning,” he emphasized. “The same can’t be said of his White House documents, which more accurately reflect the conveyor-belt process for presidential decision-making.”
Hatch went on to say that although Kavanaugh “may seem like the human incarnation of a vanilla ice cream cone,” he’s “actually something far more sinister."
"Judging by the rhetoric coming from the left, I’m convinced that this minivan-driving carpool dad is actually the second coming of Genghis Khan," he concluded sarcastically.
"It’s time Democrats come home from their fishing trip. We could spend eons angling for scandal in the river of documents the Judiciary Committee has provided us," Hatch argued. "But nothing will bite because there’s nothing there. Democrats know this by now, and it’s time they admit it to the American people. The longer they wait, the more desperate they look."

The Republican Party may finally have learned their lesson from Bork's debacle in 1987. This time out, Hatch and Grassley are doing a good job defending the SCOTUS nominee against the gutter tactics of the left. The National Rifle Association has launched a million dollar advertising campaign urging voters to call their senators on Capitol Hill and demand they confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
"The NRA strongly supports Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court because he will protect our constitutional right to keep and bear arms,” NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris Cox. “It’s critical that all pro-Second Amendment voters urge their senators to confirm Judge Kavanaugh.”
“Judge Kavanaugh is a highly qualified nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court. We encourage all senators to listen to the American people and vote in favor of his confirmation,” Cox continued.

Constituents of four red-state Democrats in the Senate want to see Judge Brett Kavanaugh confirmed to the Supreme Court, according to a new poll.
The poll, administered by North Star Opinion Research on behalf of the Judicial Crisis Network, surveyed voters in Alabama, Indiana, North Dakota, and West Virginia, all states with incumbent Democratic senators which also voted for President Donald Trump in the 2016 election. Three of those Senators—Joe Donnelly (Ind.), Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.), and Joe Manchin (W. Va.) are up for reelection in November.

Police made several arrests as mobsters obstructed residents, blocked traffic and generally behaved like unruly assholes to throw a tantrum over President Trump’s Supreme Court pick.
Once again, this was not a grassroots protest but rather the latest in a series that have been undertaken on behalf of the Democrats and funded by a network of shadowy front groups.

The scene at Trump Tower which has become a symbolic target didn’t approach the malevolence in D.C. where Fox News anchor Shannon Bream feared for her safety but it was nonetheless tense.

Protesters blocked Fifth Avenue holding signs that read “reclaim SCOTUS” and “affirm LGBTQ rights.”
Seven protesters were arrested Monday night in front of Trump Tower following President Donald Trump’s nomination of D.C. Court of Appeals Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court, an NYPD spokesman said.
Four men and three women were arrested shortly after 9 p.m. when they blocked the road in front of the Fifth Avenue skyscraper, an NYPD spokesman said. The people arrested were charged with disorderly conduct, the spokesman said.
Among the people arrested was City Councilman Jumaane Williams, who is currently running to be the next Lieutenant Governor of New York State, according to reporters at the scene. The councilman’s communication director tweeted photos of Williams being taken into custody wearing a “resist” t-shirt and a “stay woke” pin.
Protests are one thing but rent-a-mobs and inciting riots are another especially when they are being organized and funded by murky organizations.
It’s only going to get worse as the mobs multiply like roaches and rats and at some point, they will turn to violence.
Why not just break out the water cannons now?
