Schumer: "There Is No Presumption Of Innocense" For Kavanaugh...

Straight from the mouth of Democratic leadership, it’s been confirmed that the left does not believe in the presumption of innocence for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

While some Democratic senators have suggested as much, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said it in no uncertain terms.

“No, it's not a legal proceeding; it's a fact-finding proceeding. We do this with every major nominee, and countless times, I think 10 times in the last year, when new information comes up, the FBI goes again and does its background check,” he said in response to a reporter’s question about whether Kavanaugh has the presumption of innocence.

“This is standard operating procedure, and the question looms: Why are our Republicans deviating from it …? This is not a criminal trial. This is not a -- a -- this is to find the facts,” he added.

The reporter sought to clarify Schumer’s remarks, asking again whether he believed in the presumption of innocence.

“I agree that we -- this is not -- that's a criminal trial,” he said. “What -- what I believe is we ought to get to the bottom and find the facts in the way that the FBI has always done. There's no presumption of innocence or guilt when you have a nominee before you. There is rather -- rather, find the facts. Find the facts, and then let the Senate and let the American people make their judgment not whether the person's guilty or innocent, but whether the person deserves to have the office for which he or she is chosen, plain and simple.”


Sens. Chris Coons, D-Del., and Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, have both responded in similar manners about whether Kavanaugh enjoys the presumption of innocence or not.

Blog Author's Comments: Kavanaugh's lawyer has said, Blasey Ford has not submitted her therapist notes or the results of her lie detector test. Mr. Schumer, the FBI has already stated that their background check of Judge Brett Kavanaugh is complete. Why do the progressives not listen to the agency they say they trust? Because, this is simply wanting more delay and an attempt to do, whatever they can with good people’s lives, for their political gain.

Schumer may be just as daft as he sounds. I personally have never heard him utter any truth. There is a presumption of innocence for Kavanaugh. There is no presumption of innocence for Schumer, because he continually lets us know how his small mind works. Schumer believes that presumption of innocence only applies to those on the left, and for them it is absolute. They feel they are never truly guilty of anything, because their motives are based on "caring." Caring for making a name for themselves within their party.

I very much believe that the American people are extremely angry with this entire charade, especially this last outrage, that there will be a huge backlash during the midterm elections in November. 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' is rabid in the Democrats. They will never get over the fact that Hillary Clinton was a lazy candidate and would have been an extremely lazy president.

Oh, Now Shutdown Chuck Schumer Is Following Pelosi In Trashing Workers' Bonuses

Well, when you’re backed into a corner, there really is nowhere to go. That’s where the Democrats are on this tax bill. Even after they shut down the government over illegal aliens, companies continued to signal their intention to dole out bonuses to their workers. In all, over 250 companies have given out bonuses, with over three million workers benefitting from the GOP tax plan. Bonuses have ranged from $1,000 to $3,000 depending on the company. The tax plan has become more popular. So, what to do now? Well, just marginalize $1,000+ bonuses as “crumbs.”

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has done it, with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) adding that a $1,000 bonus won’t go that far. Yeah, remember when Democrats were appalled that the payroll tax cuts wouldn’t be extended in 2011, which would have added an additional $40 in workers paychecks? This is quite the 180-degree turn. And now shutdown Chuck is getting on the “crumbs” bandwagon.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) on Thursday called the bonuses and wage increases that companies have given workers due to the Republican tax reform law "crumbs," echoing the rhetoric of his counterpart in the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.).

Schumer said on the Senate floor that Americans will be outraged when they learn big businesses are enriching themselves under the new tax overhaul while workers are effectively getting no benefits.

"When the American people learn that some of them are not getting anything, some of them are getting raises, and the rest are getting crumbs, and big corporations and wealthy individuals are getting nice, fat pieces of pie, they're going to be outraged," Schumer said. "They are already."

Yeah, when working and middle class families get extra money in their paychecks, they couldn’t care less about the wealthy. In their world, they’re seeing a benefit. Democrats are trying to ingrain envy into the national consciousness. It’s never worked. In a nation that values opportunity and hard work, the wealthy are an inspiration. That’s why, as George Will noted, we don’t have a truly socialist redistributionist party in America. Thought that could be changing with how left wing Democrats have become. This is getting to be a stale narrative and talking points as well. Democrats won’t be able to spin this if companies keep rewarding workers with bonuses due to the Trump’s tax bill. Then, Democrats will have to explain why they voted against the middle class, the American worker, and economic growth. Have fun explain that.

Blog Author's Comments: The Democrats cannot do any better than what has transpired, since Donald Trump obtained the office of President, and been the head of the Republican Party for approximately one year. What did the Democrats and Barack Hussein Obama accomplish in eight years? They moved our country backward instead of forward. Naturally, for those like Pelosi and Schumer, a thousand or two is "crumbs ". They spend their days attempting to fritter away Billions in taxpayer dollars. I can't believe the Democrats think this lecturing and recitation is going to be a selling point for them going into the midterm elections.

But, this is the plan they will continue, because they have nothing else to present, aside from their negativity towards Trump and all members of the Republican Party. Let Pelosi and Schumer talk, the deeper they dig the hole, the better the coming elections will go for those of us who have to live in the real world. Other than trashing the GOP, what else do the Democrats have to offer? No accomplishments. No solutions. No ideas. Just hate. They are coming into the mid-term elections with nothing to show the citizens of the United States, only illegal immigrants and they want many more of them.
