Blog Author's Observations: Mitt Romney has announced that he will not endorse Trump, or any other Republican, for the 2020 election. This should come as a surprise to no one, as Romney refused to endorse Trump in 2016 as well. The amazing thing is, as a guest with Dobbs points out, is that Romney sought and received Trump’s endorsement when he ran for senate in 2018. What does that say about Romney? Sorry, Mittens but your opinion stopped mattering when you lost in 2012.
Cory Booker - One of the most amazing and irritating or annoying points of the 2020 election, is hearing the Democrat candidates, like Booker, talk about “fixing” the American healthcare system just ten years after they passed Obamacare. No one in the media ever acknowledges this. What business do Democrats have even discussing this issue? If the American healthcare system is broken, who broke it?

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), who recently promised to “bring a fight to the NRA like they have never ever seen before,” on Monday morning introduced a sweeping gun-violence prevention plan that centers around a national gun-licensing program.
“My plan to address gun violence is simple, we will make it harder for people who should not have a gun to get one,” Booker said in a statement, pledging to take executive action on the first day of his desired presidency.
“As president, we will make commonsense changes to our gun laws such as requiring a license to purchase a gun that includes universal background checks, banning assault weapons, and closing the loopholes that allow domestic abusers and people on terrorist watch lists to get their hands on a gun,” he continued. “I am sick and tired of hearing thoughts and prayers for the communities that have been shattered by gun violence, it is time for bold action.”
Under the plan, Booker proposes that an individual could seek out a license at a local office, comparing it to applying for passport renewal. Upon doing so, they would submit fingerprints, sit for an interview, and show completion of a certified gun-safety course. The FBI would then verify all the submitted materials and run a comprehensive background check before issuing the federal gun license. The license would then be valid for up to five years “with regular, automatic checks to flag non-compliance with license terms,” according to the plan.

So, Emperor Booker would allow us to “seek” a license, also known as permission from the State to buy and own firearms. We would submit, to be fingerprinted, and interviewed by a government employee, who would then, it seems have the power to approve, or deny us a right that the Constitution protects.
You can go read some of Booker’s dictates, like microstamping, and allowing gun makers to be sued if a criminal does something bad with a firearm, banning “assault rifles” and “high capacity” magazines, and allow the IRS to go after the NRA. I don't think so Booker, it is very good that you do not have any chance to ever live in the White House.
Here you go Senator, and you can pass this on to Swalwell, Harris, Warren and the rest of the anti-Americans and degenerates, running for the Democrat nomination for president.
Sen. Grassley Torches Cory Booker's False Bravado: "How Long Are You Going To Say The Same Thing"
Democratic Sen. Cory Booker, expected to run for president in 2020, said on Thursday that he will release a "confidential" email he claims shows Judge Brett Kavanaugh talking about racial profiling — and urged Republicans to try to expel him for violating Senate rules.
"Bring it," a defiant Booker said. "I’m going to release the email about racial profiling," the New Jersey Democrat said as the third day of Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearings began in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Booker on Wednesday had asked Kavanaugh about a 2002 document in which, Booker claimed, the then-aide to President George W. Bush considered using racial profiling as a tool to battle terrorism after the terrorist attacks of September 11.
Kavanaugh, for his part, asked to review the email, but Booker tried to move on. Sen. Mike Lee, Utah Republican, though, said that the referenced email had been deemed "confidential" by the committee, which means it cannot be released or used to question a nominee.
In full grandstanding mode, Booker on Thursday said, “I come from a long line as all of us do as Americans of understanding what that kind of civil disobedience is and I understand the consequences,” he said. “I understand that the penalty comes with potential ousting from the Senate. If Senator [John] Cornyn believes that I have violated Senate rules, I openly invite and accept the consequences of my team releasing that email.”
Republicans ripped Booker for violating Senate rules. “Running for president is no excuse for violating the rules of the Senate or or of confidentiality of the documents we are privy to," said Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn, who later read a specific rule barring the use of confidential documents by senators.

He simply wanted to gain favorable attention and make it appear to be something important to the hearing. The so-called 'confidential' Kavanaugh emails did not exist which the fool Cory Booker boasted about. They had been cleared, despite the dramatic claim by Booker of defying Senate rules.
The Democrats have turned a serious event in history, into an extremely bizarre side show. They have shown for anyone that is interested, who and what they are and why they should never be allowed to gain political power or be trusted again. All of Booker's drama was for nothing, aside from his attempting to make political points for the 2020 election.
Committee Chairman Charles Grassley should have called the Democrat members bluff. And threaten to eject members of the Judiciary Committee from the Senate who refused to conduct themselves in a professional manner. The left has nothing to stop Judge Kavanaugh, so this is all they could do, in a attempt to make a name for themselves at the expense of the government and Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
All of this political theater by the Democrats and their very close cohorts the mainstream media, and the fact that the Democrats on the committee have made a sham of the confirmation procedure, made little difference to CNN, CBS or NBC. Even after Booker's claim to fame bubble was popped, they ran with the 'fake news' story for hours even though they knew what they were reporting was more lies.
