We now have a sick and evil government, media, and political party in control. When someone attacks you, they are not owed a fair fight. The media reporting the true, actual, facts is something I have not seen for many years. I read a reliable source addressing the Israeli Army targeting the buildings of the enemy. It said the Israelis start dropping leaflets days in advance of the intended target. Letting the occupants and surrounding people know they will destroy that building at a given time. They then follow up with hourly broadcasts starting 24 hours before zero hour. The only thing you ever hear today's press say is "there was very little warning."
It is difficult to discern what is going on in the region if you subscribe to what is reported in the main stream media. They are always against Israel in whatever war is happening in the Middle East. I don't know why most Jewish people vote for a Democratic party that supports those who hate them. There is so many saying that it’s “not fair” what Israel does, but this is life and death, not a game. Hamas knows they will still receive money and sympathy for placing children in harm’s way. Also a great design of the Iron Dome, it saves so many Israeli lives.
The Hill -- The Obama Administration has "no regrets" over its attempts to broker a cease-fire agreement with Hamas, despite reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admonished State Department officials "not to ever second guess me again," after militants violated the peace agreement.
"We have absolutely no regrets of working with both parties, with the Egyptians, with the Qataris, with the Turks, to do everything possible to put in place a prolonged cease-fire," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told CNN on Monday.
Psaki would not comment directly on the reported exchange between Netanyahu, Secretary of State John Kerry, and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro.
The Associated Press, citing officials familiar with the discussion, said Netanyahu told the Americans he should be "trusted" on his read of Hamas's willingness to abide by a cease-fire agreement.[...]
Still on Monday, Psaki reiterated some of the administration's sharpest criticism to date over Israeli strikes that reportedly killed Palestinians at a United Nations shelter. In a statement issued Sunday, Psaki called the shelling "disgraceful" and said the U.S. was "appalled."
"The sign of a strong relationship is being able to speak out and convey concerns when we have them," Psaki said on CNN. "This is the seventh attack on a school. You've been following this closely. And what we need to determine with the international community is exactly the question you posed: Where do we go from here?"
She added that there was "more that Israel can do to hold themselves to their own standards."
"Every day, the world is watching as innocent civilians are killed, as children are having shrapnel pulled out of their back. I think we can all look to make an evaluation that there's more that can be done," she said.
Blog author's comments - As usual, the Obama administration looks at the surface and makes their emotional pronouncements. Anyone who is paying attention has to wonder which side of the war the Obama administration is on. The solution to the wounding and killing of Palestinians along with the children is simple. Hamas has to stop attacking Israel.
It would also help if Hamas stopped using civilians as human shields, and stopped storing and firing rockets from schools and hospitals in Gaza. The Obama regime, I believe, is baring it’s fangs of anti-Semitism for the entire world to see. Obama is sending aid to the Palestinians, who are then able to finance their endless campaign of rocket attacks against Israel. But the State Department blames Israel for defending itself from the attacks.
The Hill -- President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone on Sunday as a ceasefire with Hamas broke apart.
Obama reiterated his "strong condemnation" of rocket and tunnel attacks against Israel by the militant group Hamas, but also expressed "growing concern" about the rising number of Palestinian civilian deaths in Gaza.
Obama called for an "immediate, unconditional" humanitarian ceasefire, according to a White House readout of the call.
Negotiations to extend a 12-hour truce broke down over the weekend. Israel says it offered to extend the ceasefire for another 24 hours, only to see new rocket fire from Gaza. Israel then resumed its own military actions in Gaza.
"Hamas has broken five cease-fires that we accepted," Netanyahu said on Fox News Sunday. "They rejected all of them, violated all of them, including two humanitarian cease-fires in the last 24 hours."
On the call with Netanyahu, Obama stressed the need to enact a "sustainable ceasefire" that both "allows Palestinians in Gaza to lead normal lives, and addresses Gaza's long-term development and economic needs while strengthening the Palestinian Authority."
Any lasting solution to the ongoing conflict would only occur with the disarmament of terrorist groups and demilitarization of Gaza, Obama said.
Blog author's comments - Anyone who has been paying attention during Obama's presidency has to know where his loyalty lies with regard to Israel and their many enemies. I have no idea what Obama expects Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to do to protect Israel and its people from the terrorists. I don't believe there will ever be peace in the Middle East because Hamas and other terrorist groups will not recognize Israel's right to exist.
At one time America was Israel's very close ally. If Obama would come out and say that the United States completely backs Israel it may help the current situation. But this will not happen. It is really too bad that America does not have a leader who is even close to the caliber of man that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is. Netanyahu truly cares for the people and his country of Israel and will do what he feels he must to protect them. Can most of us really say that about Obama and America? I don't think so.
Netanyahu: Hamas Has Broken Every Ceasefire Israel Has Agree To
Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC blames Israel - Senor 1, Mitchell 0
Free Beacon -- Romney senior adviser Dan Senor defended Gov. Mitt Romney’s comments about the effect of culture on Palestine — rather than economics — in an exchange with Andrea Mitchell Wednesday on “Morning Joe.”
Blog author's comments - Andrea Mitchell - another liberal all weepy for offended Palestinian terrorists. I'm sure that none of that logic from Romney adviser Dan Senor settled in her brain.
The Palestinians could attempt to do more for their economy except they are too focused on trying to kill Israelis, and after decades of this they are still not catching on and never will.
For many years, the Palestinians have been given numerous chances to take the road of peace and have instead chosen violence. Mitchell is upset because Mitt Romney had a very successful trip to the Middle East. Andrea Mitchell fails again at pretending to be a journalist.

Ted Turner: U.S. and Israel Should Disarm to Prevent Nuclear Iran
News Busters -- Appearing as a guest on Thursday's Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN, the news network's founder, Ted Turner, complained that a double standard exists between the U.S. and Israel being allowed to possess nuclear weapons while Iran is expected to be nuclear-free, as he suggested that all countries dispose of their nuclear arsenals to persuade Iran not to build such weapons.
Well, first of all, I believe in total nuclear disarmament. That's the only way we're ever going to get there. We all got to play by the same set of rules. We have 2,000 or several thousand nuclear weapons. Iran has none at the current time. It's okay for Israel to have 100, but it's not okay for Iran to have two. That's, that's, you're not treating everybody equally.
I think we've already voted at the U.N. and the Security Council to get rid of nuclear weapons. Let's get rid of them. Let's get rid of ours, and then Iran will stop, I believe, and everybody else will because if everybody doesn't have them, then we're safe - at least safe from a nuclear attack.
Entire column... Blog author's comments - Turner did not mention that Iran's President has said many times they want to destroy Israel. Yes, Ted….and we should all turn in our guns to prevent killings and robberies by the bad guys!
Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and now they are our friends...what happened in between? We bombed them with atomic bombs twice. No wonder they are so friendly now.
Immense wealth isn’t necessarily an indication of intelligence and common sense. Remember, he did marry Jane Fonda, so how smart can he be? Also -- good luck with the disarming of Pakistan, India, Russia and China of their nukes.
And why does everything have to be based on being “equal”? Real life is not equal. Is anyone going to tell him that if we were completely disarmed of our nuclear weapons, we would be bombed and taken over by other countries?
State Dept. Refuses To Support Israeli Participation In Nato Summit
Washington Free Beacon -- A State Department spokesperson refused to signal U.S. support for Israeli participation in an upcoming NATO summit in Chicago next month.
Turkey raised eyebrows this week when it rejected Israeli participation in the summit.
Israel is a partner country working with NATO on an ad hoc basis, but is not a full member of the treaty organization. Turkey, however, is a full member of NATO, and President Obama has formed a close relationship with Turkish Leader Tayyip Erdogan, whose critics accuse him of imposing an Islamist agenda.
Given repeated opportunities to support Israeli participation in the summit, State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland demurred.
The reporter questioning Nuland even went so far as to warn her that her unclear response would be seized upon and “slammed” by the pro-Israel community, which has had a tense relationship with the administration. Entire column... Blog author's comments - The time has come to expel Turkey from NATO. This November is also the time to remove President Obama from the White House. He again refuses to support Israel. Why does this not surprise me?
Netanyahu To Obama: Israel 'Reserves The Right' To Strike
Washington Free Beacon -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told President Obama that Israel would decide for itself whether to strike Iran.
“My supreme responsibility as prime minister of Israel is to ensure that Israel remains the master of its fate,” Netanyahu told Obama.
In a sit-down earlier today with the president in the Oval Office, Netanyahu pushed back against the administration’s repeated attempts to dissuade Israel from attacking Iran.
“Israel must reserve the right to defend itself and after all, that’s the very purpose of the Jewish state to, restore to the Jewish people control of our destiny,” said Netanyahu, who is meeting with the president in advance of his speech later today before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s annual policy conference.
Israel reserves the right to strike Iran if need be, Netanyahu said.
The administration has also been pressuring Israel to hold off on an attack against Iran’s nuclear sites, arguing that economic sanctions require time to take hold. Keep reading... Blog author's comments - Benjamin Netanyahu, of course will do what he must to protect his country. He has no illusions about who he is dealing with here and in Iran.
Journalist: Netanyahu told me Israel's biggest enemies are N.Y. Times, Haaretz
Jewish Light -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel’s two greatest enemies are The New York Times and Haaretz, the editor of The Jerusalem Post said in a speech.
Steve Linde, addressing a conference in Tel Aviv of the Women's International Zionist Organization, said Wednesday that Netanyahu made the remark to him about the newspapers at a private meeting "a couple of weeks ago" at the prime minister’s office in Tel Aviv.
“He said, ‘You know, Steve, we have two main enemies,’ ” Linde said, according to a recording of the WIZO speech provided to JTA. “And I thought he was going to talk about, you know, Iran, maybe Hamas. He said, ‘It’s The New York Times and Haaretz.’ He said, ‘They set the agenda for an anti-Israel campaign all over the world. Journalists read them every morning and base their news stories … on what they read in The New York Times and Haaretz.’ ”
Linde said he and other participants at the meeting asked Netanyahu whether he really thought that the media had that strong a role in shaping world opinion on Israel, and the prime minister replied, “Absolutely.” Blog author's comments - The New York Times is one of the enemies of conservatives in America as well. It would certainly be quite a change to have someone the caliber of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as our president.
Obama to 'take on' Netanyahu after election? Palestinians say White Houe asked them to delay demands until 2nd term
Jerusalem -- The Obama administration asked the Palestinian Authority not to make any major demands until after the presidential election in November, a senior PA official told KleinOnline.
The PA official, speaking on condition his name be withheld, said that Obama promised to renew stalled Israeli-Palestinian negotiations on the basis of the 1967 borders, meaning an Israeli withdrawal from eastern sections of Jerusalem as well as from Judea and Samaria, also referred to as the West Bank.
“We were asked by the (U.S.) administration not to make special demands or scandals during the elections,” said the official.
“After elections, the negotiations will be renewed on basis of the Clinton plan, and Obama’s speech in Cairo of the 1967 borders,” the official said.
The Clinton plan is a reference to the formula used during the Camp David negotiations in the summer of 2000 that saw sections of Jerusalem in which Jews predominantly live go to Israel, while areas inhabited by Arabs would become a Palestinian state. The negotiations also called for a near complete Israeli evacuation of the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
The official, however, said the U.S. will press for a Palestinian state quickly if President Obama is reelected.
“The main message we received from the U.S. is that nothing will happen in a serious way before the 2012 elections,” said the official. Entire column... Blog author's comments - If we think Obama has been anti-Israel the last three years...we have under estimated him. If he gets his second term he will make these last few years look like he’s been Israel’s best friend.
Israeli Prime Minister Gets 29 Standing Ovations in Congress, Sends Message to White House
abc news - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before a joint meeting of Congress had all trappings of a State of the Union address by a president with sky-high approval ratings.
Speaking to a packed House chamber with Speaker Boehner and Vice President Biden over his shoulders, Netanyahu was repeatedly interrupted by applause – including more than 20 standing ovations.
One of his biggest applause lines was aimed directly at President Obama.
“Israel will not return to the indefensible boundaries of 1967,” Netanyahu said, prompting a big standing ovation.
Later he added: “Israel on the 1967 lines would be only 9 miles wide. So much for defensible borders.”
Nevertheless, Netanyahu's speech – and the thunderous bi-partisan response – was a clear challenge to the idea of using the 1967 boundaries – with or without “swaps” -- as a basis for a peace deal.
Netanyahu also got big ovations with hard-line statements on two other perennial sticking points to Israeli-Palestinian peace agreements: No right of return for Palestinian refugees, insisted, and “Jerusalem will never again be divided."
Netanyahu arguably got an warmer reception than President Obama received during his state of the union. Quotes from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speech:
–”Time for Abbas to say I will accept a Jewish state.”
–”Israel will not return to the indefensible boundaries of 67."
–”The Palestinian refugee problem will be resolved outside the borders of Israel.”
–”Jerusalem must remain the united capital of Israel.”
–”Vital that Israel maintains a long term military presence along Jordan River.”
–”Peace cannot be imposed, it must be negotiated.”
–”Hamas leader condemned the killing of Osama Bin-Laden.”
–”To Abbas, tear up your pact with Hamas, and make peace with the Jewish state.”

The Facts About Israel's Borders In Five Minutes
Blog author's comments - Just a thought - how about the Republican Party finding a birth certificate for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, possibly in Hawaii, and giving him the nomination for the election in 2012. This of course is wishful thinking. He delivered a very refreshing speech, clear and straight to the point.
Just another example of how this country is starving for someone of character, who stands up for his convictions and doesn’t mince words. Were I President, I would have been certain to have stayed for this speech and been in the audience instead of running away.
Benjamin Netanyahu is a real leader. He has a known past. He speaks from real experiences and has been in real battles. What a contrast when compared to Barack Obama.
Israel is not what’s wrong with the Middle East. Attempting to push and scold our ally can only provide strength to anti-Israel terrorists who have and will continue to block any hope of peace.
Herman Cain Would Offer Palestinians "Nothing" In Peace Deal
Most of us are aware of President Barack Obama's proposal that Israel should return to its 1967 borders to appease the Palestinians.
Herman Cain said: The 'Cain' doctrine is "Don't mess with Israel because if you mess with Israel you are messing with the United States."
During the Sunday morning Fox News show hosted by Chris Wallace, Herman Cain was asked, what would President Cain offer the Palestinians to make peace?
His answer: Nothing!
“Nothing, because I’m not convinced that the Palestinians are really interested in peace. If the Palestinians come to the table with Israel, with a genuine offer that the two of them can sit down and negotiate the United States would, in fact, try to facilitate that discussion. But if we look at history, it has been clear that the Palestinians have always wanted to push the Israelis, and push Israel, for more and more and more. I don’t agree with that.” Blog author's comments - The Palestinians are not interested in peace. They are not willing to compromise in any way. President Obama, there is no point in discussing it, unless of course you want to see the demise of Israel.
Herman Cain, finally a presidential candidate with a backbone. Mr. Cain not being a career politician also makes him attractive to conservatives. But, he will not receive the backing of the Republican Party or the GOP 'blue bloods'. The Republican voters are still looking for someone to enter the race who they believe can defeat Obama in 2012.
Reuters - WASHINGTON, May 20 - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday he was prepared to make compromises to peace but he rejected President Barack Obama's proposal that Israel return to its 1967 borders.
Obama and Netanyahu met at the White House a day after the U.S. president endorsed a longstanding Palestinian demand on the borders for their future state.
In remarks to reporters in the Oval Office, Obama said he had reiterated the principles he had laid out on Thursday.
Both men acknowledged differences between their positions.
Netanyahu gave our far left radical president a history lesson.
Blog author's comments - Barack Hussein Obama told Israel to move back to the 1967 borders. Basically, he wants to give the Hamas-Fatah terror alliance half of Jerusalem.
You mean the Israelis aren’t prepared to commit mass suicide to make Obama happy? The current occupant of the White House/Oval office is a total disgrace.
The Republican Party can learn a lot from Netanyahu. The Israeli Prime Minister sat down with Obama and with respect told him no, what you want is not going to happen. We need a Netanyahu in the Republican Party.
Sources: Obama Administration To Support Anti-Israel Resolution At UN Next Week
By William Kristol, June 11, 2010 - THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned that senior Obama administration officials have been telling foreign governments that the administration intends to support an effort next week at the United Nations to set up an independent commission, under UN auspices, to investigate Israel's behavior in the Gaza flotilla incident.
While UN Ambassador Susan Rice is reported to have played an important role in pushing for U.S. support of a UN investigation, the decision is, one official stressed, of course the president's . . .Read entire column
Joe Biden Defends Israel's Actions In Flotilla Incident
The Hill & JTA "You can argue whether Israel should have dropped people onto that ship or not — but the truth of the matter is, Israel has a right to know ... whether or not arms are being smuggled in," Biden said during an interview on the "Charlie Rose," show. I am surprised. VP Joe Biden got this one right.
"Republicans have called for a strong stance by the Obama administration against any condemnatory resolutions by the United Nations on the incident." But...I have not heard any defense of Israel from BO.
In a Townhall column, by Mona Charen: "This week is a new low. Under Obama's leadership, the United States has capitulated to terror tactics and the despicable temptation to blame Israel. America has always been the one country in the world that reliably countered the bullying and grotesque double standards much of the world applies to Israel."
The UN is also a worthless organization and aside from just a few countries, most of the UN members would not be upset if Israel ceased to exist.
This is the video of VP Joe Biden defending Israel’s right to know what is on ships bound for Gaza. Biden said "they have the right to prevent weapons from reaching Hamas."
Republican leaders also defended Israel. "The United States stands with Jerusalem in its effort to ensure the safety and security of its citizenry," said Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), the minority whip in the House. "We can’t forget why the blockade exists in the first place: to deny Hamas the weaponry and raw materials it needs to continue its rocket attacks in Israel, killing innocent people."
