Rosenstein Gave Mueller Permission To Request FBI Raid Office Of Trump's Lawyer Michael Cohen

Since the Stormy Daniels documents are outside of Robert Mueller’s scope of the Russia investigation, Mueller is required to consult with Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein before he is allowed to expand his mandate.

This all rests on the shoulders of AWOL AG Jeff Sessions.

According to the Washington Post, FBI agents took Cohen’s computer, phone and personal financial records as part of the search of his office at Rockefeller Center.

The New York Times first reported the FBI raid collected documents related to Michael Cohen’s payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in October of 2016.

Michael Cohen’s attorney released a statement following the raid.

“The decision by the US attorney’s office in New York to conduct the investigation using search warrants is completely inappropriate and unnecessary.”

“Today the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients. I have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller.”

It appears Rod Rosenstein is turning up the heat after President Trump lashed out at the DOJ for missing an April 5th deadline to produce over 1.2 million documents on FISA abuse and Hillary’s email investigation.

Rod Rosenstein misled the FISA court by signing off on a FISA application knowing the dossier was a phony document paid for by Hillary Clinton.

Rosenstein previously threatened members of Congress if they didn’t back down from their investigation into Obama’s FISA abuse.

Mark Meadows told Judge Pirro this week the House is considering impeaching Rod Rosenstein for not providing documents to oversight committees.

Of course Rosenstein is going to do everything in his power to keep himself and Mueller out of prison which is why he appointed Mueller in the first place.

Blog Author's Comments: You can call it a soft-coup, or the politicization of the DOJ and FBI, but the end result is the same, the intentional effort to manipulate, influence, and ultimately subvert an election for the presidency of the United States. This because the 'establishment' still and will always refuse to deal with the actual fact that Donald Trump defeated Hillary R. Clinton.

The damage is done and Mueller's witch hunt will continue until he finds something, anything, to debilitate and immobilize president Donald J. Trump.

Blog Author's Comments: Why cannot president Trump appoint an interim Attorney General, is the Senate able to stop him? And the same thing should happen with Deputy AG Rosenstein. Was Sessions set up from the start? He is a prosecutor who is the victim of the biggest criminal conspiracy in the history of the US federal government. Former GOP Rep. Jason Chaffetz joined other Republican leaders to call for failed Attorney General Jeff Sessions to step down.

Sessions is responsible for the continued illegal and unconstitutional witch hunt against President Trump by far left activists in the DOJ.

Blog Author's Comments: Keeping Attorney General Sessions would be a decision based on complete blind faith. He has illegally, I think, blocked FOIA requests into the actions of Obama’s FBI and DOJ and he has a few deep state crooks like Deputy AG Rosenstein who is satisfied with special counsel Mueller's work in Russia probe.

Sessions has publicly stated he will not go after any political opponent of Trump, especially Hillary Clinton. Now there is the possibility that Sessions is trying to hide his true intentions while he operates covert investigations to take down the deep state, but there is nothing to back up that theory.

I hope Sessions proves that theory to be true, but we do not have the time to wait. His lack of action could embolden and allow the democrats to possibly get away with a great deal leading up to the midterm elections in November. This would result in an angry electorate in 2020. I also believe Sessions is recused from all these Hillary investigations if they should happen.

If so, will the corrupt Rosenstein run them? A good man would do something if his country is on fire with corruption. As for Sessions to finally step down, I do not subscribe to the "better late than never" theory at this point in Trump's presidency. Unless he is accomplishing a lot of good that we do not know about, which I doubt, Jeff Sessions should have walked away many months ago.

Sessions Orders FBI To Look Into Uranium One Deal That Involves Hillary And Bill Clinton

Daily Wire -- Attorney General Jeff Sessions has ordered prosecutors at the Department of Justice to begin interviewing FBI agents about evidence they uncovered in a criminal investigation into a highly-controversial uranium deal that involves Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Multiple law enforcement officials confirmed Sessions’ orders to prosecutors, NBC News reported exclusively in the early morning hours on Thursday.

At the heart of the issue is the 2010 Uranium One deal which Hillary Clinton signed off on while she was Secretary of State at the U.S. State Department.

NBC News adds: A senior law enforcement official who was briefed on the initial FBI investigation told NBC News there were allegations of corruption surrounding the process under which the U.S. government approved the sale. But no charges were filed.

While Clinton has vehemently denied that she did anything wrong, a fresh round of reports in recent months from The Hill and Circa News suggests that there is more to this case than meets the eye.

An October report revealed that the FBI started gathering evidence in 2009 of Russian officials engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion, and money laundering that were involved in the Uranium One deal:

Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show.

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill.

Rather than bring immediate charges in 2010, however, the Department of Justice (DOJ) continued investigating the matter for nearly four more years, essentially leaving the American public and Congress in the dark about Russian nuclear corruption on U.S. soil during a period when the Obama administration made two major decisions benefiting Putin’s commercial nuclear ambitions.

Blog Author's Comments: Sessions either comes out of hiding or faces removal; it is a national insult and a mockery of the U.S. justice system for Clinton to evade consequences for such serious crimes, which would result in the lengthy incarceration of almost any other American citizen. Hopefully Sessions assigned this to a DOJ prosecutor who is actually interested in justice rather than protecting Hillary and her criminal enterprise. Perhaps this is a change of plans for the Clintons; no longer how to get in the White House now it's how to stay out of the big house.

Could it be time for Clinton to lawyer-up and she would have to spend some of her ill-gotten wealth? But, we all know this will never happen, she is Hillary Clinton, special laws for some of the most corrupt people. So, the case will be re-examined and nothing will be found again. What's interesting is that now Mueller, who actually delivered a sample of the uranium, is now being investigated by the administration he is investigating. That can't work. Mueller must be ready to wrap up and announce his findings, such as they are.

CNN Walks Back Jeff Sessions-Russia Bombshell

Daily Caller -- CNN has quietly walked back more of their “bombshell” reporting on the Trump-Russia collusion narrative, and this time it’s a story relating to Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ security clearance forms.

In May, CNN reported that Sessions had failed to disclose meetings he had with the Russian ambassador when he was a senator. Justice Department officials told CNN that Sessions had not listed those meetings on a security clearance form, even though the form says to list “any contact” with the “foreign government” or its “representatives” in the past seven years.

CNN framed the non-disclosures as more evidence of collusion between Russia and the Trump team, writing, “He has come under withering criticism from Democrats following revelations that he did not disclose the same contacts with Kislyak during his Senate confirmation hearings earlier this year.”

At the time, Sessions said he was told by the FBI not to list meetings “connected with his Senate activities,” but CNN’s legal expert denied those claims.

“A legal expert who regularly assists officials in filling out the form disagrees with the Justice Department’s explanation, suggesting that Sessions should have disclosed the meetings,” CNN asserted.

The CNN report led to breathless coverage by the rest of the legacy media, who painted the non-disclosures as a Trump official trying to hide problematic meetings with the Russians.

However, CNN admitted early Monday that FBI emails prove that Sessions’ explanation for the non-disclosures is accurate.

“A newly released document shows that the FBI told an aide to Attorney General Jeff Sessions that Sessions wasn’t required to disclose foreign contacts that occurred in the course of carrying out his government duties when he was a senator,” CNN’s Evan Perez wrote in the new piece.

Monday’s article indicates that Sessions was following what the FBI told him and was not intentionally trying to mislead the DOJ about his meetings with Russians.

Just this past Friday, CNN had to correct another “bombshell” report that claimed Donald Trump Jr. had advance access to Wikileaks documents stolen from the Democrats.

Blog Author's Comments: CNN is the propaganda network. They cannot be thought of as a news network. There are no true journalists that are employed there. At this point, Sessions has no conflict either real or imagined, while Rosenstein and Mueller are up to their eyeballs in conflicts of interest.

It was a disappointment when Trump named Sessions the Attorney General and I believe that I am justified, considering what has gone on with the Justice Department. So far, it appears that Jeff Sessions does not want to get his hands dirty. He has been an ineffective AG. I keep hoping that he is doing more for the country behind the scenes.

Why are Mueller and his inmates still running the asylum? It looks as if the FBI set up Sessions to recuse himself in order to get a Special Counsel for Russia Collusion. And now, without a doubt, Mueller is the one with the conflicts. So how much longer is he going to be able to continue his probe into President Trump, his family, business and his associates? Will this continue to drag on another year or more?

The enemy of America and freedom - the liberals - has saturated our government and education system. They have become a very large threat to our democracy. Since Mueller has shifted the focus of the investigation from collusion to obstruction of justice, I see no reason why Sessions should remain recused. He should be back in charge and Robert Mueller and his corrupt gang should be shut down.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) told Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday that Congress is opening an investigation on the politicized DOJ.

Blog Author's Comments: At one time I considered Trey Gowdy among the few in Congress who I thought were good, hard-core lawmakers within the GOP - and I still do - who actually wanted to make a difference and attempt to go after some of the slime and muck that resides within our government and seems to grow even more rapidly. People have asked about the hearings Gowdy has conducted and how many indictments, trials and convictions have resulted from all of his previous investigations? It is my understanding that Congress has little to no authority to prosecute. They can present the evidence they have accumulated and recommend that the Department of Justice make the decision to proceed with an indictment, but if the DOJ chooses to do nothing, then that is what happens, nothing. The people that should find themselves in deep trouble do not pay any penalty or suffer any consequences for their actions.

Because of AG Jeff Sessions - Rosenstein and Mueller have essentially taken over the Justice Department and now we and President Trump have lost one of our four short years to actually make a difference in the country and to possibly secure for the Party and the country that they would have Trump for a second term. Sessions was a good Senator but has shown that he is an extremely weak Attorney General. Until he is gone and we see what the special counsel, Robert Mueller and his liberal group have come up with, nothing will have been done except what President Trump has been able to do on his own. This may indeed be the last chance the Republican Party had with full control of the government. But, because of the Russia Collusion scam, Mueller, and the infighting within the party the time is being wasted.

GP -- Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) grilled Attorney General Jeff Sessions today on the many apparent crimes connecting the Clinton Campaign, the Democrat Party, the FBI, James Comey and the Russian Dossier.

Jordan grilled the Attorney General who was noticeably uncomfortable and irritated with the questioning.

Rep. Jordan laid out the specific crimes of collusion committed by FBI and DNC operatives in 2016. Jordan pointed out the fake dossier and asked AG Sessions if this was the impetus to spy on the Trump campaign? Sessions would not answer.

At the end of the questioning Rep. Jordan asked Sessions if he would appoint a special counsel to investigate this deviant activity by the FBI and DNC.

Sessions told him he would not appoint a special counsel.

Rep. Jim Jordan: "Doesn’t that warrant in addition to all the things we know about James Comey in 2016, doesn’t that warrant naming a second special counsel?"

AG Jeff Sessions: "I would say what it looks like is not enough basis to appoint a special counsel."

Blog Author's Comments: It seemed to me today that AG Sessions did not take this hearing with the seriousness it deserved, he does not strike me as a professional person who is worthy of his current position. I realize there were some questions which he would not be able to answer in an open hearing. I have been against the hiring of Sessions as Attorney General from the time he was appointed by Trump. I also think he should be relieved of his office as soon as the President could find a replacement. But, as I mentioned yesterday, if President Trump fires Mueller and Sessions, Senator Grassley has said he will not confirm a new Attorney General. Senator Grassley is now the current chairman of the Judiciary Committee of the 115th congress.

I would assume knowing what I know of the President, he wants to keep things moving and see some action from his cabinet. He should have a meeting with both AG Sessions and Senator Grassley. If he is not pleased with Session's performance which some lawmakers in his party are not. Congress needs to produce a vote of no confidence to the AG and ask him to remove himself from office. It is not good that Sessions continues to let Trump, many members of his party and the country down by remaining impotent in the pressing issues facing him. What does not help is that there are so many Congressional leaders who are anti-Trump. For reasons I will not waste my time now by delving into, many members of his own party want to see him fail, while the entire Republican Party fails. What so many do not seem to understand is that Trump is not going to be seen as a failure by the voters that put him in office.

The huge mistake Sessions made was to recuse himself from anything involving the Russia probe because of the Democrat Party and leftist media attack dogs. After Trump fired Comey, who did not deserve to be the Director of the FBI, he was another dirty cop. Sessions deputy AG Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller, a very good friend and former co-worker of Comey. I do not want Jeff Sessions as the Attorney General; he cannot handle the duties of the position. Now is the time for President Trump to make some serious decisions, to clear all of this up because it has already gotten way out of hand.

GP -- Former Trump Campaign manager of three months Paul Manafort was charged today in the Robert Mueller witch hunt of the Donald Trump campaign.

Rick Gates, his longtime business associate, was also charged according to news reports.

Manafort was Donald Trump’s campaign manager for three months in 2016.

Manafort turned himself in today.

The liberal media is in hysterics over the news that Manafort was arrested for alleged financial crimes from 2006 to 2014 before Donald Trump announced his run for president.

Now this… President Trump is meeting with Attorney General Jeff Sessions for lunch on Monday following the news on the witch hunt.

Watching the investigations of President Trump proceed has been like watching a movie on some third-world banana republic.

If he had not recused himself from the so-called Russia investigation, Mueller and company would not be involved to help cover Comey's handling of the Hillary Clinton crimes. Any Obama appointee in the DOJ should go. Those who cannot be fired can be transferred. Refusal to accept the transfer is then justification for removing them.

Apparently Rosenstein is in charge of the DOJ right now. We need an Attorney General that will stand by this administration instead of holding open a door to those that want to destroy his employer. Going after MS13 is great, but certainly does not justify his holding the office that is allowing this charade of an investigation to take place.

Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy, the leader of the House’s top investigative committee, slammed special counsel Robert Mueller on Sunday for allowing the news media to learn that he and his legal team now have charges in their Russia investigation.

“In the only conversation I’ve had with Robert Mueller, I stressed to him the importance of cutting out the leaks,” Gowdy, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, told “Fox News Sunday.” “It’s kind of ironic that the people charged with investigating the law and the violations of the law would violate the law.”

Mueller and his team have for roughly the past five months been leading a Justice Department investigation into whether anybody associated with the President Trump’s 2016 White House campaign colluded with Russia to influence the election outcome. On Friday night, CNN reported that Mueller’s team has filed the first charges in the case with a federal grand jury.

“Make no mistake, disclosing grand jury material is a violation of the law. Somebody violated their oath of secrecy,” Gowdy, a South Carolina lawmaker and former federal prosecutor, also told Fox News on Sunday.
