Nadler: Mueller Is 'An Honest, Honorable Person,' But He May Have To Be Subpoenaed

(CNSNews.co) - Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said again on Wednesday that Democrats may end up launching a formal impeachment inquiry, "but there does not appear to be the support for it now."

"Right now we have to get the facts out, we have to educate the American people," Nadler said.

And a big part of that is having former Special Counsel Robert Mueller testify in public, something Mueller has said he wants to avoid.

"Why are you so confident that the former Special Counsel Robert Mueller will appear in public before your committee without a formal subpoena?" CNN's Wolf Blitzer asked Nadler.

"Well, I didn't say without a formal subpoena. Hopefully, it won't come to that, but it may," Nadler said.

"He's an honest, honorable person, unlike the White House, which is defying Congressional subpoenas. There is no legal excuse for denying these -- defying these subpoenas, and I can't imagine that Mr. Mueller would defy the law. He's an honorable person."

Mueller told a news conference last month that his report, two years in the making, speaks for itself. "There has been a discussion about an appearance before Congress. Any testimony from this office would not go beyond our report. It contains our findings, analysis, and the decision we made," Mueller said. "The report is my testimony."

Blog Author's Comments: How is Nadler, who is completely dishonorable, capable of distinguishing what is honorable? The Republicans have been waiting over two years to ask Mueller questions, so if Nadler wants Mueller under oath, bring him in. Nadler is not an intelligent member of the government or his party. If he was he would let Mueller walk away, before he exposes more than he wants the voting public to hear. He may not fully understand what Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz and Doug Collins have planned for Mueller, if he is subpoened to answer questions in the House chambers. But, Mueller knows what he would be walking into.

Mueller has already revealed his bias, by staffing his 'witch hunt' with Hillary supporters. He knew there was no collusion by President Trump before he accepted the job of special counsel. Innocent until proven guilty is the rationale of our system of justice, but that has been ignored by Mueller and the Democrats. Also, with Mueller's remarks at his 10 minute presser, he has proven he is not an 'honorable man'. He felt it was necessary for him to have the attention of all who care and to provide more ammunition for the Democrats to be used with his report, as a roadmap in an attempt to impeach the President.

Mueller Agrees To Testify Before Congress But What Can He Say That Isn't In His Report?

Some random Democrat you’ve never hear of, Rhode Island Representative David Cicilline (not to be confused with former Italian Ciccolina, though you could be forgiven the error), has announced that an agreement has been reached with Department of Justice to permit special counsel Robert Mueller to testify before Fat Jerry Nadler’s committee on May 15.

This promises to be high comedy.

It is difficult to see how Mueller can break any more of the basic ethical principles prosecutors are supposed to adhere to than he already has. But we can be sure, if the utter sh**show that was Bill Barr’s testimony before an infinitely more sane Senate Judiciary Committee is any guide, that Mueller will be under intense pressure to not only proclaim that there was “collusion” but that Trump “obstructed” what is looking to be an investigation which was knowingly launched based of false information and prosecuted merely out of a desire to damage the administration and let Andrew Weissmann engage in some sort of score-settling with Paul Manafort. He will also be under pressure to accuse Bill Barr of lying to Congress and deceiving the nation by releasing Mueller’s report, and that is exactly what he’s being accused of.

If Mueller doesn’t give them what they want, they will savage him. He has to know that. Sad to say, the odds of Mueller being up to the challenge of not shifting overtly into the role of partisan attack dog are not great.

Blog Author's Comments: I would guess that Attorney General Barr is not pleased with Mueller continuing his partisan unprofessionalism, which the democrats will facilitate by expanding on his "but there's this" opinions which should not have been part of any objective, professional report, other than the opinion he refused to offer about an obstruction charge.

He put his 'friend' AG Barr into the continuing harassment and witch hunting by the Democrat Party, only because Mueller and company could not publish a decision. So, the Attorney General did his job and is now having to face and fight with the crazed democrats, because he did not give them what they desperately wanted, and this is all they had. They put all their hope on the special counsel's report and are now completely out of their minds.

Senator Graham was right, there is but one question to ask Robert Mueller. "Was Barr's summary of your report objectively wrong and your letter to him said that or, you did not like the media coverage as he said?" If his answer is "no", then his whiny letter looks like what it was, him whining about Barr interfering with his report.

This entire mess, was intended to further divide us all and in that objective, it continues to perform. And remember, the Republicans on the committee will also be able to question Mueller.

Obstruction of justice works both ways, Mr. Mueller. You screwed over your friend, the Attorney General of the United States, and suggested the President of the United States committed crimes you know he did not. It would be hilarious if Mueller gets caught lying to Congress. And, it's already clear either he's lying or Barr is. I cannot imagine a universe in which Attorney General Barr lied.

Congressional Crazies Are Taking The Democrat Party Over The Cliff

In the final scene of Thelma and Louise, when Detective Hal Slocumb realizes that those wacky chicks are about to drive that ’66 Thunderbird over the edge of the Grand Canyon, he runs after them in a futile attempt to prevent their senseless descent toward self-destruction. Slocumb, played by Harvey Keitel, does a good job of conveying the impotent despair that moderate Democrats like Steny Hoyer must feel while watching Reps. Jerrold Nadler and Adam Schiff accelerate toward the electoral abyss that awaits their party if they insist on relitigating Russiagate and rummaging through the President’s tax and business records.

If they continue to mine the Mueller report for presidential malfeasance and conduct multiple investigations into Trump’s business and tax matters, the effect on Democratic electoral prospects will do severe damage to their party. The electorate has had enough of collusion conspiracy theorists and Trump truthers.

Nonetheless, the antics of the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee during Wednesday’s testimony by Attorney General Barr signaled even worse behavior had he decided to appear before its House counterpart on Thursday. Wednesday’s Senate hearing included the usual disingenuous Democratic stunts, but Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham kept the proceedings under control. Sadly, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee is Jerrold Nadler, who is already engaging in irresponsible antics himself, including a threat to have members of the Trump administration arrested if they don’t comply with committee requests.

Attorney General Barr decided to skip Thursday’s House hearing pursuant to Nadler’s bait-and-switch on the format. Typically, the House Judiciary committee would deal with a Cabinet official like Barr by allowing members five-minutes each to ask questions. Nadler and the Democrats however, have decided that Barr must submit to additional queries from staff lawyers.

If Barr had acquiesced in the bait-and-switch engineered by Nadler and his accomplices for Thursday’s hearing, one of the first topics the Democrats would have raised is a letter written to Barr by the special counsel on March 27. In the letter, Mueller has the crust to criticize the 4-page memo provided to Congress outlining the report’s major findings. Evidently forgetting that, once the investigation was closed the report was the AG’s to handle as he saw fit. That was not good enough for many Democrats, including House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff, who called Wednesday for Attorney General Barr to resign.

That Schiff is the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee is terrifying. Even after the special counsel probe found “no collusion,” Schiff has maintained that there was indeed collusion “in plain sight.” His persistence in this evidence-free claim eventually resulted in a unanimous Republican call for his resignation from the chairmanship of the committee.

Mueller exists in his present capacity because of Attorney General Jeff Sessions who has allowed deputy AG Rod Rosenstein to control the DOJ and appoint Robert Mueller. President Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort who worked for the president's campaign for three months, were charged and put on trial because of Mueller's people.

They were both found guilty of charges not even closely related to what the Mueller gang is supposed to be looking for, which if anyone has forgotten, was Russia/Collusion by Donald Trump and his campaign people. Cohen may now face a second trial presided over by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. If he should be found guilty of the charges, which he no-doubt will, it will take place in New York so that if President Trump even wanted to pardon him he could not. The way I understand it, is the President cannot pardon someone who was found guilty of a crime by a state court, only in a federal court.

The latest path Mueller is taking, is for the the Manhattan District Attorney’s office who is eyeing criminal charges against the Trump Organization and two senior company officials. The Mueller people could want to look at all of the Trump family tax filings and his business for as many years as they would like. Again, this is all being done to bring down the President and destroy him, his business and his family.

It really is too bad that the President appointed someone that showed extreme loyalty during the campaign, and was named the Attorney General. But, just a few days after he was appointed Sessions told the president he had recused himself from the Mueller probe which was supposed to focus on Russia/Collusion. Because of this, the President has given up a great deal of his time and life to have everything he has worked for threatened. Donald Trump wanted to help the American people have a better life, than what they had received from the previous administration. And for that, the Washington establishment wants to ruin his life.

Most Americans think Robert Mueller’s time is up.

A new Zogby Analytics poll shows 52 percent think it’s “time for special counsel Robert Mueller to wrap up his probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election,” compared to 30 percent who disagree and 18 percent who aren’t sure.

The pollster breaks down the numbers:

Overall, more than half of respondents wanted special counsel Robert Mueller to end the probe into Russian meddling; nearly a third do not, and 18% are not sure. Majorite's and pluralities of most demographics agreed that it was time for Mueller to wrap up his investigation.

Of course, Trump’s base supported this idea the most – men (56% yes/31% no), voters age 50-64 (61% yes/28% no), voters who earn more than $150k (59% yes/34% no), NASCAR fans (67% yes/16% no), and Walmart shoppers (61% yes/26% no).

But interestingly, even groups sympathetic to democrats felt it was time to end the probe. Pluralities of younger Millennials age 18-29 (36% yes/31% no), older Millennials age 25-34 (43% yes/31% no), Hispanics (50% yes/26% no), women (49% yes/28% no), and Independents (47% yes/29% no) felt it’s time for Mueller to wrap up his probe.

The positive outlook is obvious across nearly all age demographics, though women were less likely to predict prosperity than men. “If Trump has decent support among younger voters, women, and independents, in the low to mid forties, that might be enough support for him to possibly help republicans keep control of both houses, and propel him to re-election in 2020,” according to the new poll.

The bottom line: “President Trump is riding high at the moment because his job approval rating is solid and the economy is doing well.” But, Mueller and his gang along with Rosenstein, are actively attempting to halt what the President has achieved.

President Trump derides his former attorney Michael Cohen, after reports say he taped conversations between himself and then-candidate Donald Trump.

Today, the president tweeted, “inconceivable that the government would break into a lawyer’s office… almost unheard of.”

He then said “even more inconceivable… that a lawyer would tape a client… totally unheard of and perhaps illegal.” He added, “the good news is that your favorite president did nothing wrong.”

This comes as The New York Times reported Cohen secretly recorded the president in 2016 when he was still the GOP nominee. The Washington Post later confirmed the FBI had obtained the conversations from the raids of Cohen’s offices.

Blog Author's Comments: I assume the recording should not have been released because of attorney/client privilege and the lawyer should not be able to, within the law, release it. Only the client can give his or her okay for it to be used for anything. But, special counsel Mueller and deputy AG Rosenstein, I must assume have given the okay for it to be handed off to someone. They took into custody a recording made by Cohen that has nothing to do with the investigation. Then leaked it to the press, this may sum it up. Did the President sell Uranium or secrets to the Russians? Did he keep classified top secret information on an illegal server? Did he engage the FBI to spy on a presidential candidate? Cohen secretly recorded Trump without his knowledge and permission. So my understanding of the law is this would not be admissible evidence in a court of law. But, this must of have been for the court of public opinion. In case anyone actually cares, the playboy bunny has apparently already sold her story for $150,000.00 to the National Enquirer.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is tapping additional Justice Department resources for help with new legal battles as his year-old investigation of Russian interference with the 2016 election continues to expand.

As Mueller pursues his probe, he’s making more use of career prosecutors from the offices of U.S. attorneys and from Justice Department headquarters, as well as FBI agents — a sign that he may be laying the groundwork to hand off parts of his investigation eventually, several current and former U.S. officials said.

Mueller and his team of 17 federal prosecutors are coping with a higher-than-expected volume of court challenges that has added complexity in recent months, but there’s no political appetite at this time to increase the size of his staff, the officials said.

Investigators in New York; Alexandria, Virginia; Pittsburgh and elsewhere have been tapped to supplement the work of Mueller’s team, the officials said. Mueller has already handed off one major investigation — into Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen — to the Southern District of New York.

On May 31st, the Office of Special Counsel released a statement of expenditures revealing over $4.5 million has been flushed down the toilet in just a 6 month period hunting Russian ghosts.

This $4.5 million is in addition to the $6.7 million the Special Counsel cost the first five months. Add to that other Department of Justice costs ‘related to Russia’ which brings the figure even higher to what Politico estimates to be $17 million total spent on the Russia probe.

Taxpayers are being punished simply because Trump won the 2016 presidential election.

Not to mention the lives devastated and destroyed by Mueller.

To this date, the FBI has not done a forensic inspection of the crime scene–the DNC servers, yet here we are forking out millions of dollars for an obvious witch hunt.

Congressman Gowdy recently told Rosenstein in a hearing to “finish it the hell up” because the country is being torn apart over the garbage Russia probe.

Dirty Cop Robert Mueller has now collected information from Trump donors, the RNC, all of the Trump Campaign officials, Trump businesses, Erik Prince and Blackwater, and now the NRA.

This is all more than frustrating, but Trump has the power to pardon when all of this is over but he will have to wait until it is politically feasible. Still Fishing: Special Counsel Robert Mueller Now Demands Witnesses Turn Over Phones

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team of lawyers reportedly asked witnesses to hand over their phones for inspection of possible encrypted communications between individuals with ties to President Donald Trump.

“Since as early as April, Mueller’s team has been asking witnesses in the Russia probe to turn over phones for agents to examine private conversations on WhatsApp, Confide, Signal and Dust, according to the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Fearing a subpoena, the witnesses have complied with the request and have given over their phones, the sources said,” CNBC reports.

Andrew Weissman, the Special Counsel’s top prosecutor, filed an 18-page motion Friday evening at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, accusing former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort and an associated of attempting to tamper with witnesses scheduled to testify in the probe.

Weissman requested Judge Amy Berman Jackson on Monday to arrange a hearing to review evidence of Manafort violating the terms of his bail “in an effort to influence their testimony and to otherwise conceal evidence,” related to work undertaken by a public relations firm tied to Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovyc.

The FBI alleges a staffer at the public relations firm “Hapsburg Group,” received multiple messages from Manafort, telling “the government that [he] understood Manafort’s messages to be an effort to ‘suborn perjury’ by influencing [his] potential statements.”

“[I]n his opinion, Manafort and [the unidentified person] were reaching out to him and [the first PR worker] because [the PR firm] owned the Hapsburg group and served as intermediaries between Manafort, [Manafort co-defendant Robert] Gates, and [the unidentified person], on the one hand, and the Hapsburg group on the other,” the FBI agent added.

In a statement to Breitbart News on Tuesday, Manafort spokesman Jason Maloni denied his client engaged in any wrongdoing.

“Mr. Manafort is innocent and nothing about this latest allegation changes our defense,” Maloni said.

“We will do our talking in court.”

The Mueller probe’s thorough search for evidence stands in stark contrast to the FBI’s investigation of the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) alleged hacking by foreign agents. The Bureau did not similarly demand that the DNC turn over its email servers for firsthand inspection.

Besides, wasn't it Mueller's best friend Comey who set the precedent that destroying your phone is not a crime? At least that was his opinion when Hillary did it multiple times. Shouldn’t he really be demanding some answers from his absentee Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and the corrupt to the core acting AG Rod Rosenstein?

Sooner or later, Mueller is coming with an indictment of Trump, whether or not it is constitutional, and it’s hard to not get the idea that Sessions is either compromised or in on the plot. If he has not yet proven his worth to the President he and Rosenstein should be gone.

I honestly do not see what value Sessions has to the president. If it were not for him abandoning the situation on the 'Russian Collusion' scam, the president would not be dealing with this and also running the country and government. Sessions has proven to be absolutely useless and a hindrance both to President Trump and his party. Should Mueller come up with some bogus charges in an attempt to make Trump a lame-duck president, we can point the finger of blame directly at Sessions.

It's Official - Attorney General Jeff Sessions in California Presser divulges he is a part of the Deep State

The US Attorney General Jeff Sessions held a press conference at the San Diego border. During the presser Sessions replied to a question surreptitiously admitting he is part of the Deep State. This is why Congress wants him held in contempt.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes revealed that Congress will hold Department of Justice Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt for refusing to turn over classified information the committee has requested, he stated in a phone interview with Fox and Friends.

The Department of Justice also shot back on, releasing the letter sent to Nunes, which addressed the classified information Nunes had requested. It appears from the letter Nunes had asked for information on a specific individual, not yet named and considered by DOJ to be a very valuable person for a counterintelligence operation.

A day later, sleepy and corrupt AG Sessions held a press conference at the US border. During a question and answer period Sessions responded to a query about Congressman’s Devin Nunez’s statements on Sunday. Sessions responded –

Blog Author's Comments: There are numerous significant indications that Sessions is part of the coup and cover up. There are no significant indications otherwise. Blind trust is not a sensible option. Congress has full legal right to information. There are really a lot of things extremely wrong and criminal in the Department of Justice and Sessions seems to be okay with that.

The president is wasting some of his important days continually putting out fires rather than using this time governing the country. He has and is doing many very good things but he should not have to keep fighting a corrupt special counsel in Mueller, without the full backing from his own people. This is not the way he should be forced to function.

Apparently it does not bother Sessions that President Trump is supposed to work like this. If anyone has been paying attention they already know what Mueller's ultimate goal is, but we don't know what the attorney general's true objective might be. If Trump has not already done so, he does have the urgency to speak with the Attorney General. If his answers are not forthcoming and favorable he should definitely be gone.

Blog Author's Comments: Hoping for the ideal resolution is not the same as the real resolution or outcome, and everyone should understand the concept of hoping for the best while preparing for the worst. With all that I have absorbed over the past nine years with my own political blog and having access to many other people’s ideas, it is clear to me that Trump holds the cards.

Yet, I can’t help but have that sinking feeling that tells me not to indulge myself in too much optimism and idealism. Mueller is playing his part in this, with no options. There is no clear crime involved now or ever and there was never a reason for a special counsel. It is going on two years and the Mueller gang has found nothing. It is only a fishing expedition and should be shut down.

Mueller's only goal is to find something, anything with which to charge President Trump. The president should nominate an Attorney General who will do something besides recluse himself and sit on his hands. Once the new AG is in place, deputy AG Rod Rosenstein should be impeached and fired. He is in the same bed as Mueller and the entire deep state. For those who did not know he appointed Mueller while Sessions sat relaxed on the sidelines.

If Trump fires Mueller, the liberals, Democrats some members of the GOP and mainstream media, will scream like pigs but that is going to happen no matter what the outcome is. It’s not just Hillary Clinton who can’t quit Russia. The whole Democratic Party keeps going back to 2016.

In a move that reeks of desperation, the DNC filed a civil suit Friday against President Trump’s campaign, Russia and WikiLeaks, alleging a vast (right wing!) conspiracy to tip the election to Trump.

The suit’s flamboyant charges made headlines, but that only served to obscure the real meaning. Namely, that top Dems are giving up their fantasies that special counsel Robert Mueller will deliver them from political purgatory by getting the goods on Trump.

The trashy suit is their way of trying to keep impeachment and Russia, Russia, Russia alive for the midterms in case Mueller’s probe comes up empty.

Truth be told, party leaders are right to be disheartened by setbacks in the War against Trump. For the second time, the president was told he is not a target of Mueller, this time by Rod Rosenstein, the deputy assistant attorney general who created Mueller.

While Trump could still become a target, the odds of that happening decline by the day.

The probe started in the summer of 2016 by the FBI, and was taken over by Mueller nearly a year ago. Despite a large, secret budget and a squad of seasoned gunners, many of them Clinton supporters, Mueller hasn’t produced any evidence of a crime by the president.

If he had, Trump would be a target.

She accused the Republicans of all sorts of dirty tricks only to be later discovered to have done them herself. Mark Levin: Mueller Is A Vicious Bastard...

The gambit of appointment of the Special Prosecutor was a pretty slick operation performed by Brennan and people who were supporting him at this time, including Rosenstein. Comey firing was just a pretext; if it did not happen, they would find another reason to appoint the Special Prosecutor to investigate Trump. Along with paralyzing Trump administration Mueller has basically criminalized foreign criticism of the Democratic party and neocons. Open season on Russia, but not even one peep about the Dems crimes. In other words the Special Prosecutor Muller emerged as Grand Inquisitor accusing Trump of religious heresy not following neocon perception in foreign policy, especially regarding Russia.

Mueller is going to investigate the life of Trump until they find something/anything he can hang around his neck. Who in the United States of American could pass that kind of scrutiny? After all Trump and Kushner were real estate developers. If you dig hard enough having a dozen of prosecutors and unlimited amount of money probably any real estate developer in the USA can be put in jail.

One of the most interesting fact about Mueller is that he was the person responsible for investigation of 911 as the director of FBI. So destruction of evidence, protection of Saudis royal family all happened not just under his watch, but under his direct supervision.

He also closely supervised botched Anthrax investigation.

Those two facts alone tells you a lot about what we can expect from his "investigation" so quickly launched by Rosenstein after Trump fired Mueller using falsified document nicknamed "Steele dossier" as the main evidence that Russia was trying to recruit Trump and/or members of his inner circle. Moreover, in such cases "personnel is policy" and Muller hires strongly suggests that the original intention was not an investigation, but a witch hunt with the single goal to depose Trump (it might well be that Muller appointment was the insurance policy about which Strzok wrote to Lisa Page).

In one year Mueller produced a pretty humiliating results taking into account resources which were put in his multimillion investigation: indictment of 13 Russia internet trolls from some sleazy marketing company (Internet research agency) run by former hot dog stand owner from Sanct Petersburg who first used it for PR campaign trying to protect himself from charges that he supplied rotten lunches to Moscow school children.

With each new indictment from Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller the same question emerges: when will he produce evidence that the president of the United States committed treason? Because that’s what this is really about; Some Russians somewhere may have meddled in the election. But what Mueller has to answer is whether Trump knowingly worked with a foreign adversarial government to help get himself elected in return for some quid pro quo. Mueller is tasked with proving the president, now in his 14th month in office, purposefully acts against the interests of the United States because of some debt to Russia.
