Chris Matthews: Trump Voters Embrace Archie Bunker Stereotype...

Breitbart -- Monday on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” host Chris Matthews said the combination of the Hollywood’s sensitivity to LGBT issues and the Archie Bunker parody of conservative views has caused President Donald Trump’s supporters to embrace the Bunker character.

Matthews said, “Hollywood, the news business is very careful about gender identity, about sexuality. We are very careful with the language we use. Very careful about the LGBT concerns generally. Do you ever see that same sensitivity about white working class people? I grew up in a country that made fun of those people.”

“Archie Bunker was that guy,” he continued. “Hollywood greatly enjoyed making fun of this guy. He was probably Irish, but they didn’t say so. He lived in Queens. So I think Hollywood made a point of enjoying that difference in a way that got to them. And they said, ‘OK, do you want me to be Archie Bunker, I’m voting Republican this time. I’ll stick with you guys.'”

Blog Author's Comments: Chris Matthews embraces the "meathead" stereotype - dead from the neck up. I also suppose he misses the "tingle" he felt up his leg whenever he heard Barrack Hussein Obama speak for eight years. And the "meathead" Rob Reiner has changed, but is now even more of a far left liberal than they would allow him to play years ago. I miss Archie Bunker and what he said and stood for. Today, they would write the show so that Carroll O'Connor could not play the Archie Bunker many of us enjoyed.

Chris Matthews is not even one of the top shows of MSNBC. But, I believe he could do better if he would shut the hell up and gear down his mouth to allow his 'guests' a chance to answer his questions. Instead, he is constantly interrupting them. I have never watched the network aside from the on-line videos. I think he seemed to be subtlety pointing out liberal racism. Liberals are sensitive to some groups but insulting toward others.

What the Obama administration and his media did was lay the pathway for Donald Trump to step in and wake up the silent majority. Here was and is someone who said what so many Americans had been desperate to hear. This is more proof the left doesn't know who the Trump voters are, and they do not want to know. It seems like every time I read an article by the left they are calling Trump voters names. Or the news shows are constantly disparaging Trump voters. They are still actually wondering how Hillary Clinton lost the election. They don't seem to have a clue, they have simply ramped up their liberal/leftist rhetoric with hope that this will help the Democratic Party in 2018 and 2020.

Chris Matthews: 'The Senate Goes'

National Review Online -- Chris Matthews is already bracing for a disappointing November for Democrats, and he sees little that can be done to change that outcome.

“It’s going to be very hard to hold the Senate — I think the Senate goes,” he said on Morning Joe on Thursday. “I think we heard from the Ghost of Christmas Future this week; they’re going to lose the Senate,” he added, referring to Republican David Jolly’s victory Tuesday in Florida’s special congressional election.

Matthews offered his own campaign advice for Democrats if they want to minimize the damage this fall: Go all-in on scare tactics. He encouraged Democrats to up the ante on various issues, such as framing voter-ID laws as attacks on minorities and pro-life measures as attacks on abortion rights.

Blog author’s comments – I do hope Chris Matthews is right about the Democrats losing the Senate. His advice for the Democrats in the November election, they should go all-in on scare tactics where everything is a war and all of their opponents are racists. How is that different from any other election? Matthews basically admitted that the Democrats have nothing to run on except scare tactics. This is one time I will agree with him.

It used to be that journalists dealt in truth, how times have changed. Consider what's occurred...here we have an on-air "journalist" at a major "news" network openly calling for employment of subversive propaganda tactics in order to sway electorate to a political agenda through false pretense. What else would we expect from anyone at MSNBC? And its not only them but almost all so-called “journalists” are doing their best to retain the Senate for Obama and the Democratic Party.

newsbusters - As NewsBusters previously reported, MSNBC's Chris Matthews on Wednesday accused former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee of wanting to commit "ethnic cleansing" on Arabs in Israel's West Bank.

After conservative radio host Laura Ingraham played the "Hardball" clip to Huckabee on her radio program Thursday, the Fox News contributor had some choice words for the man that admits getting thrills up his leg when President Obama speaks.



HUCKABEE: Can you believe this guy? I mean, come on. Chris Matthews, he’s got to be one of the most incredibly interesting people who gets a job in the media today. And he’s calling me a lunatic because I happen to believe that you can’t take a country like Israel, with its tiny little strip of real estate, and continue to allow its enemies to sit on top of them.

Guess what? That doesn’t work. When you have this organization called the Palestinians, and they don’t even think that Israel should exist, and never have yet acknowledged their right to an existence, and you want to give more land to them so they can be even closer to your children’s playground so they can throw, shoot rockets at them, this is, this is really amazing.

But I tell you what, I want to say to Chris Matthews, “Chris, see a doctor. Do it quickly. You’re out of control. You’re off your meds. You absolutely must get help. And do it today.”

Blog author's comments - Is it a shock to anyone why MSNBC has such low ratings? I never watch the network but I see the on-line clips of Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz. It is true; they are all out of control. At least they finally fired Keith Olbermann.

It is no surprise that the few viewers they have are the hard core left-wingers who actually believe what these people say and use MSNBC as their only source for political news.

Even though Huckabee is near the top in a few of the early polls as the GOP's candidate for 2012, I don't believe he can defeat Obama.

We have less than two years to come up with someone to make Obama a one term president and it has to happen. Obama has to be defeated and the GOP must win back control of the Senate and retain the House of Representatives.

Obama cannot be allowed to inflict any more damage on our country.

Matthews show is one of the lowest in the ratings. MSNBC cannot be taken seriously. Shortly after Comcast purchased MSNBC they bounced Keith Olbermann and I would think there will be a few more going out the door.

Notice when Matthews talks so fast he spits, the spitting gets worse when he mentions Palin or Beck.

Imagine that, Palin's supporters are basically illiterates that don't learn anything and are making absolutely no effort to find out what the truth is by watching shows like Matthews.

Chris Matthews has a show on the most liberal network on television where he always does his usual best to prop up Obama and his entire Administration. Matthews talks to MSNBC's Chris Jansing about his special on Barack Obama, which will probably draw the same very low ratings he receives from his nightly show "Hardball".

Matthews attacked "older white people" for having bigoted feelings against the first African American President.

While praising younger Americans, he says, "And I think that's a generalization and I'll stick with it. I think younger people do not see race as an obstacle." He then praised the "non-judgmental" attitude of Obama voters, saying, "In fact, they say race is irrelevant and don't even notice it, whereas older people notice it all the time."



newsbusters - On Martin Luther King Jr Day, MSNBC's Chris Matthews did his part to bring Americans together by accusing Republicans of still being afraid of black people.

During a Hardball special, aired on Monday night, called "Obama's America" Matthews, insultingly asked former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele if, at GOP conventions if black-Americans at that event were told not to "bunch up" because "you'll scare these people" and added: "Did you fear that if you got together with some other African-Americans white guys might get scared of you?"

Steele, who was the only Republican on the panel, seemed shocked by the question as he responded to Matthews: "No! What are you talking about?" and then proceeded to cite the successful candidacies of Tim Scott, Allen West and others in the GOP field that would suggest white Republicans weren't exactly afraid of, as Matthews put it, "black folk hanging together."

Blog author's comments - Chris Matthews is a perfect example that liberalism does seem to be a mental disorder for which there is no cure.

Matthews talks about the older people in America being bigots. I wonder what age one must be to be old according to Matthews? He is 65. The fact is that a large number of "older Americans" voted for Obama in 2008. Hopefully they won't make that mistake again in 2012.

I know people of all ages who dislike what Obama has done and would like to continue to do to the country. I think the result of the midterm election proves that point. Apparently Matthews still believes the only reason all of the citizens in this country don't agree with Obama's policies and agenda is because is a black man.

This liberal thinking not only comes from Matthews and others on MSNBC. Look at what the left wing MSM and Democrat Party politicians did to Sarah Palin after the tragic shooting in Arizona.

Blog author's comments - Neil Cavuto's show is one of the few news shows worth viewing. That said, I think his comments concerning the shots Chris Matthews took at Gov. Christie were very good.

'Hardball' host Chris Matthews appeared at a local event in Washington D.C. last Thursday to trash Republican Chris Christie as too fat to be President. The Washington Examiner reported that Matthews derided the New Jersey governor, mocking, "Chris Christie is moon over New Jersey, he should not wear white shirts, I tell you that."

This is what prompted the remarks by Neil Cavuto. Chris Matthews is one of the talking heads on the all liberal -- all the time MSNBC. He will go after anyone who is a 'hated' conservative.

I must wonder if what he said about Chris Christie - would he have said that to him in person? I believe we know the answer to that question.

Has Chris Matthews ever had something intelligent to say about anything?
