Robert Mueller is seeking to give immunity to five potential witnesses in the Paul Manafort trial according to a new court filing Tuesday.
Mueller is filing the requests under seal; Manafort is facing charges of bank and tax fraud and his trial begins next Wednesday in the Eastern District of Virginia.
The five potential witnesses have not been charged and their identity has not been released to the public.

Blog Author's Comments: Why would he need to do this now? Didn't he have a slam dunk case to indict? And why is Mueller even running this case? It has absolutely nothing to do with any Russian interference attempts to change the outcome of the 2016 election.
If you have been following what this so-called honorable person Mueller will do, to take down the president and appease the firing of his best friend James Comey, he is putting more pressure on Paul Manafort with hope he will 'flip' and come forth with something, anything, Mueller and company can use against Donald Trump.
This is why he is continuing his sham of an investigation with his 13 angry Democrat, Hillary voting, lawyers. Mueller will continue what he is doing with the goal of uncovering anything that will do harm to President Donald Trump. This will not go away until at least after the midterm elections.
