Apparently the institutional protection system was in full force Friday as current FBI lawyers blocked any questions directed toward former FBI Director James Comey as they related to FBI investigations of Hillary Clinton; applications to the FISA court and the use of the Steele Dossier. The closed-door interview on Capital Hill was worthless, but what did anyone who wanted some truthful answers to important questions expect from Comey and his lawyers? Our country is now in the balance, and true justice lost another battle.

The war ended before it started, because November’s election put a stop to any hope that justice might prevail against so many crooked present and former government employees. I believe there was so much hope for true political change for the better, with the election of President Trump. With the House now in the hands of the Democrats, he will be able to accomplish little of what so many Americans wanted.

Comey actually said - "So I'm not sure we need to do this at all, but I'm trying to respect the institution and to answer questions in a respectful way." The elitist cabal that runs every facet of our government owns it, and apparently they can do anything they want. Every government department and every institution is under their control.

Almost nothing can be done about it because those entrusted to watch over and remove the corruption and criminality are themselves corrupt criminals or too intimidated to act. The Congress and Senate allow departments under their control to dictate what they will or won’t do. Bureaucrats who are mandated by law to surrender any and all documents when asked, simply refuse and nothing is done about it.

Comey: GOP 'Has Left Me And Many Others' And Become Party Of Trump

Former FBI Director James Comey in a new interview railed against the Republican Party, saying he thinks the GOP has lost its way.

"The Republican Party has left me and many others," Comey, who was a registered Republican for most of his life, said during an interview on the ABC News podcast "Start Here" when asked whether he still considers himself a Republican in his "heart of hearts."

"I just think they've lost their way and I can't be associated with it."

Comey said he saw the change in the party take place starting with President Trump's campaign. He said the GOP has continued to change over the course of the Trump presidency.

"These people don't represent anything that I believe in," he said.

He added that he thinks the Republican Party now reflects "entirely Donald Trump's values."

In his interview that aired on a Sunday broadcast of ABC’s “20/20” with George Stephanopoulos, former FBI Director James Comey said that when Donald Trump won the election over Hillary Clinton, he questioned if the FBI had a role.

“[Trump] is now going to be the 45th president of the United States,” Stephanopoulos said to Comey. “The most stunning upset in American political history. And what part of you is thinking, I helped elect Donald Trump?”

Comey replied, “A whole lot of me was thinking, ‘Oh, my God. Did we have some role in this? Did we have some impact on the election?'”

Blog Author's Comments: Comey's concerns about making a president appear "illegitimate" seem to have evaporated when Trump won and he immediately set about undermining him. I think once AG Sessions was aware of how deep the corruption ran after Trump was elected, he then put himself in the way of allowing the evidence to come out. Sessions for the last year after these excerpts from Comey will show that he purposely got in between Congress and the DOJ in covering up all of the corruption.

Judge Orders FBI To Turn Over Comey Memos For Review - Could Release Them To The Public

Judge James Boasberg of the US District Court for the District of Columbia ordered the FBI to turn over Comey’s Trump memos for review. He may decide to release them to the public. The government has until January 18th to hand over the memos to the court.

"A federal judge Thursday said he would look at the memos former FBI Director James Comey wrote about his interactions with President Donald Trump before deciding whether the Justice Department can withhold them from the public. It’s a signal that the judge may be skeptical of Justice’s argument that the Comey memos should stay confidential because their release could compromise the Russia probe."

"The court, in seeking to review the documents, shows it doesn’t trust the FBI or Justice Department’s representations about the infamous Comey memos. We hope now that Americans are one step closer to knowing the facts about these memos, which were written and leaked for pernicious purposes to target a sitting president with a criminal investigation. It’s high time they begin to see the light of day. We’re glad the court followed up on our specific suggestion that it review the documents directly."

On January 3rd, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sent a letter to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and the DOJ demanding answers on Comey’s memos.

Chuck Grassley questioned whether fired FBI Director James Comey violated DOJ policy after he gave his Trump memos to a friend to leak to the press.

Comey had 7 memos total stemming from 9 conversations he had with President Trump. 4 out of 7 of the memos contained classified information; it is possible Comey’s ‘confidant’ was shown classified information even though he does not have a security clearance.

It has also been argued that every single Comey memo is considered to be classified.

James Comey admitted to the Senate Intelligence Committee last June that he shared contents of his memos to a friend who’s a professor at Columbia University. He then told his ‘confidant’ to leak contents of the memo to The New York Times in order to prompt a Special Counsel.

I and many other citizens of America are sick and tired with what has happened and continues, within the FBI, DOJ and CIA and with the continual 'witch hunt' of another crooked former cop, Robert Mueller and his so-called lawful investigation. Aside from Comey, many other members of the FBI have so far managed to escape from what they have done.

Dirty Cops Mueller And Comey Held Secret Meeting Before Comey Testified To Congress

There are many reasons why the entire Trump – Russia investigation is a farce. One major reason is the fact that Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Former FBI Director James Comey have a relationship that taints the investigation. The fact that they met secretly before Comey’s testimony to Congress in June is enough evidence to contaminate the entire investigation. At the very least Mueller should have recused himself months ago.

Back in May after crooked Comey was fired by President Trump, Comey was asked to appear in front of Congress. Comey however, postponed his meeting with Congress because he wanted to meet with Special Counsel and best friend Robert Mueller before appearing in front of the Senate.

CNN reported in May -

"House oversight committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz said Wednesday he had a “one-on-one” conversation with ousted FBI Director James Comey earlier this week, in which they discussed Comey’s looming public testimony."

“Mr. Comey did not want to come testify publicly because of the presence of a special counsel,” Chaffetz, a Utah Republican, told Wolf Blitzer on “The Situation Room.” The interview comes two days after Chaffetz announced he postponed his panel’s hearing related to the FBI’s independence scheduled for Wednesday.

Comey met with best friend and dirty cop Mueller and then appeared before Congress. Comey’s testimony was the pinnacle moment where the deep state showed that they were out to remove President Trump from office. However, Comey’s testimony imploded as Judicial Watch reported –

On June 8, 2017, Comey gave testimony before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, in which he admitted: “I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter [for The New York Times]. I didn’t do it myself for a variety of reasons, but I asked him to because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel.”

Judicial Watch also sent Acting FBI Director Andrew G. McCabe a warning letter concerning the FBI’s legal responsibility under the Federal Records Act (FRA) to recover records, including memos Comey subsequently leaked to the media, unlawfully removed from the Bureau by former Director James Comey.

“Mr. Comey may have violated the law in leaking these memos to the media,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “It would be a scandal if Comey coordinated his Senate testimony with Mr. Mueller’s special counsel office." "That we have had to sue in federal court speaks volumes.”

Mueller should have never accepted the job of special counsel due to his many conflicts of interest. He should have recused himself immediately after accepting the position. When he and Comey met secretly he should have resigned. Now he should be prosecuted for trying to overthrow duly elected President Trump and therefore the US government.

Mueller should walk away from this while he may still have some of his dignity intact. But, he lost that, covering up the corruption and bribery in the Uranium One deal. I ask yet again, where is our esteemed Attorney General Jeff Sessions? I surely thought that by now Trump would have relieved him of his title and duties and find someone who could and would do the job.

With Comey and Mueller whatever happened to 'avoiding even the appearance of impropriety'. I guess that concept only applies to conservatives. Not unlike responsibility, honesty, following the law and Constitution - trivial things like that. Democrats never resign in disgrace; disgrace is a plus in the Democrat play-book. Robert Mueller is crooked and he is still feeding from the taxpayers' money by the millions. And he does not attempt to cover up what he and Comey and his staff of leftist lawyers have been doing for many months.

There is a great deal of pluses to having Donald Trump as the president. Aside from not being a career politician, he is someone who cares about the country and wants to do the right thing for the people. Latest Revelations Make The Entire 'Collusion' Probe Look Like A Partisan Hit

NY Post -- So Peter Strzok wasn’t just a top investigator for special counsel Robert Mueller until he was axed for anti-Trump and pro-Clinton bias: He was also a major player in the Hillary email probe and the FBI work that led to the “collusion” investigation.

And Mueller and the FBI both dragged their feet on sharing key info about all this with Congress. Including the news that Strzok was the one who changed then-FBI chief Jim Comey’s draft language on Clinton’s use of that private server from “grossly negligent” to “extremely careless” in the final version.

That’s huge, because the statute specifies that gross negligence in the handling of classified info is itself a crime, whatever the intent —though Comey declared that Clinton shouldn’t face prosecution precisely because she had no “intent” to break the law.

Strzok also conducted the FBI interviews of Clinton and her top aides, Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, in the email probe.

More, he was reportedly one of the major FBI figures urging investigations on the basis of the “Steele dossier” of Russian-sourced scurrilous anti-Trump allegations, which we now know was commissioned by the Clinton campaign.[...]

The public doesn’t know just how egregious Strzok’s bias was, and won’t until the release of his texts with his mistress, an FBI lawyer who sigh) was also on Mueller’s team.

But as things stand, it now looks like the fix was well and truly in on the Hillary probe. Far worse, it also looks like the “collusion” probe was a partisan hit from the start — which undermines the basis for Mueller’s own investigation. What a mess.

The current stories report that Strzok has been reassigned to the FBI’s human resources department. Meaning Strzok still has a job? I would assume if he is ousted, he would blow the whistle on Comey, Mueller and everyone else who had any input into what has been happening for a year. Mueller wants to stop that from materializing.

We knew it was a partisan operation hit job from the beginning. We recognized that ten minutes after Trump's election, that he and we would be enduring four years of non-stop attacks from both Democrats and some Republicans embedded in the beltway, who just could not come to grips that Trump won the election and was now our president. Just remember that anything is justified if one is on the left. Obama and crew made every part of the Federal bureaucracy into a vast network of progressive/Marxist agents.

Just imagine where we would be today if Hillary had become the president. The FBI needs a complete cleansing, but that is not an easy task. They have operated as the Gestapo for 8 years or more, with Obama, Holder and Lynch along with Mueller and Comey. Comey Is Going On A Speaking Tour To Talk About Ethics In Leadership

Daily Caller -- Former FBI Director James Comey will begin a speaking tour designed to hype up the “ethical leadership” he supposedly exhibited during the early part of the Trump administration.

Comey is joining the ranks of people like former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on the Washington Speaker’s Bureau (WSB) lecture tour. The lectures are expected to focus on the “moral compass” that guided his decision making during and after the 2016 presidential election.

“Throughout his decades-long career in public service, James Comey has been committed to doing the right thing – at the expense of partisan politics, popular opinion, and even personal friendships,” according to the former FBI director’s bio on the WSB website. The group is known for hooking Washington, D.C. sophisticates into the lecture pipeline.

Comey raised the hackles of both conservatives and liberals during his time with the agency. Many Democrats claimed his decision to re-open an investigation into then-candidate Hillary Clinton’s emails one month before the election cost her the presidency.

He eventually closed the probe after determining the emails did not contain material that could be used to bring charges against Clinton. Many political analysts perceived Comey’s move to re-open and immediately close the probe as a blunder on his part.

Conservatives, meanwhile, consistently blasted Comey’s refusal to publicly acknowledge that the FBI’s investigation into Russia’s alleged participation in the election was not specifically targeting President Donald Trump.

The president fired Comey in May after Attorney General Jeff Sessions suggested that the FBI’s reputation and credibility have suffered “substantial damage” under the beleaguered director’s tutelage.

Comey wrote at least nine memos of his conversations and interactions with Trump. Some of the documents, which the former director turned over only after leaving the FBI, reportedly contained classified material. He also provided at least one of those memos to a friend with instructions to leak information from the documents to The New York Times.
