"A federal judge Thursday said he would look at the memos former FBI Director James Comey wrote about his interactions with President Donald Trump before deciding whether the Justice Department can withhold them from the public. It’s a signal that the judge may be skeptical of Justice’s argument that the Comey memos should stay confidential because their release could compromise the Russia probe."On January 3rd, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sent a letter to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and the DOJ demanding answers on Comey’s memos.
"The court, in seeking to review the documents, shows it doesn’t trust the FBI or Justice Department’s representations about the infamous Comey memos. We hope now that Americans are one step closer to knowing the facts about these memos, which were written and leaked for pernicious purposes to target a sitting president with a criminal investigation. It’s high time they begin to see the light of day. We’re glad the court followed up on our specific suggestion that it review the documents directly."
Chuck Grassley questioned whether fired FBI Director James Comey violated DOJ policy after he gave his Trump memos to a friend to leak to the press.
Comey had 7 memos total stemming from 9 conversations he had with President Trump. 4 out of 7 of the memos contained classified information; it is possible Comey’s ‘confidant’ was shown classified information even though he does not have a security clearance.
It has also been argued that every single Comey memo is considered to be classified.
James Comey admitted to the Senate Intelligence Committee last June that he shared contents of his memos to a friend who’s a professor at Columbia University. He then told his ‘confidant’ to leak contents of the memo to The New York Times in order to prompt a Special Counsel.

Blog Author's Comments: Former FBI Director James Comey is a crooked cop; he should be prosecuted and jailed. I and many other citizens of America are sick and tired with what has happened and continues, within the FBI, DOJ and CIA and with the continual 'witch hunt' of another crooked former cop, Robert Mueller and his so-called lawful investigation. Aside from Comey, many other members of the FBI have so far managed to escape from what they have done.
Where things are getting severely mucked up, here and now, are that despite the likes of Hillary, Obama, Comey, Holder, Lynch, the top brass at the FBI and DOJ, along with a gaggle of co-conspirators and accomplices is that absolutely nothing is happening to them. Hillary Clinton lies outright to congress. Comey admits to criminal activity. Obama and Holder send guns to Mexican drug cartels and money to global terrorists. FBI investigators and top lawyers cover up crimes and there is silence.
This is the critical and extremely alarming fact. Many people who were born and live in this country had in the past thought that the employees of the FBI, CIA and DOJ were people we could count on to conduct themselves legally, with regard to our laws and criminal activities. These were once people and agencies we could trust, but those times are gone. Who can we now find assurance and confidence in aside from President Donald Trump?
