Trump Appeals Ruling Ordering Depositions in New York AG Letitia James’ Witch Hunt Investigation

State Judge Arthur Engoron ruled a couple weeks ago that former President Trump and his two children, Ivanka and Don Jr., must testify in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation into Trump’s business practices.

Attorneys for former President Donald Trump have appealed a ruling that he and his two eldest children must testify in the investigation by the New York state attorney general into the family’s business practices.

Trump’s attorneys filed the notice of appeal on Monday, nearly two weeks after a New York judge ruled on Feb 17 that the three Trumps must sit for depositions within 21 days.

The Trump family had unsuccessfully tried to quash the subpoena for testimony, arguing that it was improper for the attorney general’s office to issue subpoenas for its civil investigation while the Manhattan district attorney’s office is still conducting its separate criminal probe.

Judge Arthur Engoron of the New York State Supreme Court rejected that argument.

🙶 “This argument completely misses the mark,” Engoron wrote in his decision. “Neither OAG nor the Manhattan District Attorney’s office has subpoenaed the New Trump Respondents to appear before a grand jury, The New Trump Respondents’ argument overlooks the salient fact that they have an absolute right to refuse to answer questions that they claim may incriminate them.”

In December New York Attorney General Letitia James subpoenaed Don Jr., and Ivanka Trump as part of a civil fraud probe into whether the Trump Organization inflated values of some of its properties.

Letitia James has been harassing Trump and his family…just as she promised.

The Letitia James woman appears quite full of hate and I have to guess for many people. Any decent judge would not allow her to play games, based upon her intent to persecute President Trump as shown by video. Seven long years, they have been after him and not one shred of evidence. Yet here we are with the fraud in the White House trashing our country, watching the price of our food, fuel, taxes, everything continuing to soar to unsustainable heights.

The video alone should have AG Letitia James removed from the case. She is very unimpressive at least to normal thinking humans. It is the extreme left and racist individuals that are helping destroy our country. She is supposed to be conducting a probe. I say, let her charge him with something, and then present the evidence, not look into everything he has worked on over his long career and make up a bogus charge from nothing.

Blog Author's Comments: Governor Cuomo loves the sound of his own voice and continually shows what an obnoxious person he is. Usually secretive in the bowels of Albany, bullying people from behind the curtains, he finally has a chance to be in front of his adoring press and pontificate while he helps to destroy the New York economy. Cuomo fancies himself a philosopher of sorts, when in fact he's just another liberal politician looking out for himself. Right now Cuomo is in his comfort zone which is to appear as the noble manager or principal of the people.

Cuomo believes that blaming President Trump is how he will deflect from his own incompetence. But, that is not going to happen, President Trump is absolutely right, tell the con-artist Governor that America is watching. Cuomo is a waste of space, and the citizens of New York should demand his head if he does not change his tune, instead of complaining about Trump.

He and the Democrats, of course, recognize that Trump is still the President and will continue to complain about that fact whenever they can. His 'smart-mouth' response for the help of the government, should have lost him whatever creditability he had with his people. Governor Cuomo is supposed to be the leader of the people of his state, but he does not act like it. We know why they continue to interview Cuomo, because he gives the media what they want, more sound bites to be used against our President to deflect from all the good he has done, and the second term in the White House he deserves.

Ocasio-Cortez Responds To Billboard Shaming Her For Slamming Amazon - It's "Wack"...

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized a prominent conservative group Wednesday night for erecting a billboard in New York City’s Times Square criticizing her for running Amazon out of the state.

“Few things effectively communicate the power we’ve built in fighting dark money & anti-worker policies like billionaire-funded groups blowing tons of cash on wack billboards (this one is funded by the Mercers),” she tweeted, noting the conservative group Job Creators Network funded the billboard. The group is tied to the Mercer Family Foundation.

Amazon’s decision to ding a planned New York campus will cost the city thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in lost economic activity, the billboard claims.

The multi-billion dollar company cited local opposition as its reason for pulling out of the project. Protests against Amazon popped up in opposition to the deal. But there was also a fair amount of support for it, especially from people in Ocasio-Cortez’s district. A Quinnipiac poll conducted Feb. 6 found New York City voters approved of the plan 57 — 26 percent.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio criticized the young lawmaker, claiming Sunday during a segment of “Meet the Press” that Ocasio-Cortez didn’t understand how the deal was supposed to work, and her lack of understanding coupled with her vocal activism cost New York a great opportunity.

The state’s Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo was similarly upset after Amazon vacated, arguing local politicians have done “tremendous damage” to the city.

Blog Author's Comments: Does it matter who funded a billboard that proclaims the truth? I would hope she is a one term Congresswoman and another day closer to resuming her bartending career. Yet, those in her district who voted for her, must be as mindless as she and may continue re-electing her.

Rather than discuss the message of the billboard, Cortez choses to attack the people who put it there. Again she illustrates that there just was not much thought given to what she did and obviously did not understand what she was doing, by speaking out against Amazon. She clearly shows that where Socialism goes, economic ruin follows.

Willow - The Cat Missing For Five Years Is Found

Lost 5 Years, a Colorado Cat Finds Her Way to Manhattan
NY Times - A calico cat named Willow, who disappeared from a home near the Rocky Mountains five years ago, was found on Wednesday on a Manhattan street and will soon be returned to her family, where two of the three children and one of the two dogs may remember her.

How she got to New York, more than 1,800 miles away, and the kind of life she lived in the city are mysteries.

But thanks to a microchip that was implanted when she was a kitten, Willow will be reunited in Boulder, Colo., with her owners, the Squireses, who had long ago given up hope.

“There are tons of coyotes around here, and owls,” Jamie Squires said. “We put out the ‘lost cat’ posters and the Craigslist thing, but we actually thought she’d been eaten by coyotes.”

Ms. Squires said she and her husband, Chris, were shocked when they received a call about Willow on Wednesday from Animal Care and Control, which runs New York City’s animal rescue and shelter system. Ms. Squires said that when they saw a picture of the cat, they knew it was Willow.

Willow was found on East 20th Street by a man who took her to a shelter, and Julie Bank, executive director of Animal Care, said the microchip led to the Squires family.

“All our pets are microchipped,” Ms. Squires said. “If I could microchip my kids, I would.”

The Squires children are 17, 10 and 3, and they have a yellow Labrador named Roscoe, who knew Willow, and an English mastiff named Zoe.

Ms. Squires said Willow escaped in late 2006 or early 2007 when contractors left a door open during a home renovation.

Ms. Bank said Willow was healthy and well-mannered, and probably had not spent her life on the streets of Manhattan.

Animal Care and the Squireses were trying to arrange for transportation back to Colorado. In the interim, Willow may stay with a foster family in New York.

“The kids can’t wait to see her,” Ms. Squires said. “And we still have her little Christmas stocking.”

Blog author's comments - This was the best news I have seen for quite a while. I suppose that no one will ever know how Willow survived for five years or how she traveled from Colorado to New York. Only Willow knows and from what I have heard she is not telling anyone.

It's great that Willow will now be back with her family. Cats are special beings. I know this from first hand knowledge and experience. We adopted our cat when he was approximately one year old from one of our local animal shelters. He lived to be 19 years old before we were forced to have him put to sleep. He was one of the very special beings in my life. I will always miss him.
