Trump Appeals Ruling Ordering Depositions in New York AG Letitia James’ Witch Hunt Investigation

State Judge Arthur Engoron ruled a couple weeks ago that former President Trump and his two children, Ivanka and Don Jr., must testify in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation into Trump’s business practices.

Attorneys for former President Donald Trump have appealed a ruling that he and his two eldest children must testify in the investigation by the New York state attorney general into the family’s business practices.

Trump’s attorneys filed the notice of appeal on Monday, nearly two weeks after a New York judge ruled on Feb 17 that the three Trumps must sit for depositions within 21 days.

The Trump family had unsuccessfully tried to quash the subpoena for testimony, arguing that it was improper for the attorney general’s office to issue subpoenas for its civil investigation while the Manhattan district attorney’s office is still conducting its separate criminal probe.

Judge Arthur Engoron of the New York State Supreme Court rejected that argument.

🙶 “This argument completely misses the mark,” Engoron wrote in his decision. “Neither OAG nor the Manhattan District Attorney’s office has subpoenaed the New Trump Respondents to appear before a grand jury, The New Trump Respondents’ argument overlooks the salient fact that they have an absolute right to refuse to answer questions that they claim may incriminate them.”

In December New York Attorney General Letitia James subpoenaed Don Jr., and Ivanka Trump as part of a civil fraud probe into whether the Trump Organization inflated values of some of its properties.

Letitia James has been harassing Trump and his family…just as she promised.

The Letitia James woman appears quite full of hate and I have to guess for many people. Any decent judge would not allow her to play games, based upon her intent to persecute President Trump as shown by video. Seven long years, they have been after him and not one shred of evidence. Yet here we are with the fraud in the White House trashing our country, watching the price of our food, fuel, taxes, everything continuing to soar to unsustainable heights.

The video alone should have AG Letitia James removed from the case. She is very unimpressive at least to normal thinking humans. It is the extreme left and racist individuals that are helping destroy our country. She is supposed to be conducting a probe. I say, let her charge him with something, and then present the evidence, not look into everything he has worked on over his long career and make up a bogus charge from nothing.

Hillary Clinton Calls Any Attempt To Investigate Her An Abuse Of Power

Downtrend -- Perpetually scandalous presidential loser Hillary Clinton has grasped a new straw regarding why she should remain free from investigative scrutiny. The former Secretary of State said any probe into her involvement with an Obama-era Russian uranium deal would constitute a federal abuse of power.

Clinton claimed that if a special counsel were to look into her dealings with Russia in the Uranium One debacle, it would be tantamount to an act of an “authoritarian regime.” She said it would send a negative message to Americans and would serve as “demoralizing” news to those who have served at the Department of Justice, according to Axios Wednesday. In an interview with Mother Jones, Clinton claimed:

"If they send a signal that we’re going to be like some dictatorship, like some authoritarian regime, where political opponents are going to be unfairly, fraudulently investigated, that rips at the fabric of the contract we have, that we can trust our justice system…It will be incredibly demoralizing to people who have served at the Justice Department, under both Republicans and Democrats, because they know better. But it will also send a terrible signal to our country and the world that somehow we are giving up on the kind of values that we used to live by and we used to promote worldwide."

Incredible. In the view of the leftist who inspired crowds over the past year to chant “lock her up,” any investigation into her improprieties would “rip at the fabric” of our society.

Specifically, Hillary was commenting on her time as Secretary of state. As reported by The Hill, Russia funneled millions of dollars into the Clinton Foundation, and former president Bill Clinton pocketed hundreds of thousands in speaking fees from the Russians, in exchange for influence over the U.S. government’s approval of the uranium deal.

The Clinton Foundation’s role in a Russian business’s purchase of a company controlling America’s atomic energy resources has resulted in an October announcement by overseers of two House committees. The Republican chairmen stated that a probe would be launched into the uranium deal as well as the Justice Department’s previous investigation of it. On Monday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions directed prosecutors to investigate “certain issues” with regard to the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One. Hopefully, for a woman mired in decades of scandal, corruption, and lies, justice will finally be served.

Blog Author's Comments: If there was ever a politician that should be investigated it would be Hillary Clinton. The Uranium One deal is just the tip of the iceberg. But, as long as AG Jeff Sessions is still the head of the Justice Department, we will see how this plays out. I must say that Hillary has a lot of - arrogance and confidence - she can look anyone in the eye and lie with no remorse whatsoever. As for the Uranium One case, her very resistance to the idea of a Special Counsel is suggestive of a sense that after all these years, this time she might have really been caught. The power that has shielded her up until now has vanished. Because if she were really as innocent as she says she was, and there was no pay-to-play going on between herself and the Russians, in shipping 20% of America's uranium production ownership to the Russians as the $145 million rolled into her foundation, then she shouldn't be concerned about a Special Counsel. In fact, she should welcome one to clear the air.

Hillary Clinton would have us believe prosecuting corruption and holding anyone accountable is something only tinpot dictatorships do. She has been getting away with corruption for so long she doesn't see herself as subject to the law at all. There was her illegal private server, her destruction of government emails and tech machinery 'with hammers,' amounting to obstruction of justice, there was her collusion with Fusion GPS which took phony "opposition research" from the Russians for use in an investigation and leakfest against Donald Trump and this doesn't even cover the half of it. During her tenure as Secretary of State, there were classified documents mishandled (left on the dashboard of cars on overseas trips), the Benghazi failure to protect American personnel overseas, the Benghazi talking points cover up, a missing $2 billion in financial mismanagement and more. And the - corruption continues in the same pattern - Whitewater, the cattle futures cleanup, the missing billing records and "I don't recall." It likely goes even further back than that. Any wonder the late William Safire called her 'a congenital liar' and the number one reason voters rejected her according to a Soros group, was the public perception of her as untrustworthy?

Nobody is allowed to sell natural resources to hostile foreign powers in exchange for millions in payments to the foundation. Nobody, no matter how powerful, is allowed to openly violate the law with impunity. Can you imagine Singapore or Denmark allowing this sort of thing to go on without punishment? That's why such countries aren't banana republics. Hillary Clinton absolutely considers herself above the law. I won't believe anything serious will happen to her but, I do hope that the folks who have chanted about Hillary will get their wish when they say 'Lock Her Up'.
