So the very idea Licht will 1) give people on the right anything close to a fair hearing is not going to happen and 2) there’s just no getting around the fact that people who come from Licht’s bubbled world tend not to know what “objectivity,” “truth,” and “professionalism” really are.
Like all the others, Licht will be concerned only with one thing: status within the bubble, which means CNN will only get a little less worse. Maybe.

And now Zucker’s out, and his sidepiece Allison Gollust is out, and Chris Cuomo is out, and CNN+ is already in trouble, and CNNLOL’s been brought to its knees, and it’s Christmas morning, and there will almost certainly be more Christmas mornings as smug CNN heads roll. And every one of those fascist blacklisters has got it coming… and then some.
Returning to straight news during primetime is not going to help. Everyone currently at this ‘news network’ thinks far left thoughts and does zero show prep, this is part of their problem. The primetime hosts all pretend to be something they are not. CNN's new management should fire literally all of those clowns and start fresh. Fill the primetime with both conservatives and progressives who are actually intelligent and thoughtful and speak the truth.
My guess is they are just going to do what they have always done and pretend to be straight and fair with a different look. The new management guru comes from the CBS/NBC networks so there is going to be no move to real news at CNN. They cannot hide their true colors anymore, we are all able to look at different sources and find the truth ourselves and this has happened for many years. These people will never stop whining about Trump or Covid continually. Once again President Trump was right, they are Fake News.
When all reporting is designed to hide, distort or counter the truth, with constant lies, this goes way beyond being labeled as biased. It is a deliberate effort in an attempt to keep the public from knowing the truth. The damage that CNN and MSNBC have done to this country is irreparable and there is no way they can ever be taken serious again.
