Fox News -- President-elect Donald Trump and his allies on Wednesday publicly blasted reports that the Russians may have compromising information about him, at his first press conference since winning the election.
Calling the claims “nonsense,” he questioned whether the intelligence community leaked it. He said it would be a “tremendous blot on their record” if they did. He said the reports should have never been written, while praising others in the media for their restraint.
“I’ve just gone up a notch as to what I think of you,” he said.
He spoke after incoming press secretary Sean Spicer also blasted the reports.
“It’s frankly outrageous and highly irresponsible for a left-wing blog … to drop highly salacious and flat-out false information on the Internet just days before he takes the oath of office,” he said, referring to BuzzFeed. “... The fact that BuzzFeed and CNN made the decision to run with this unsubstantiated claim is a sad and pathetic attempt to get clicks.”
The press conference comes at a busy – and tumultuous – time for the president-elect’s transition team. At the same time Trump is finalizing his Cabinet nominations and trying to get them confirmed and in place for the start of his administration, he continues to grapple with reports about Russian interference during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Blog Author's Comments -- This is more 'Fake News' by the mainstream media. Even some very liberal reporters are crushing BuzzFeed and CNN for publishing unconfirmed Trump documents. We certainly cannot believe the liberal media in any political reporting that they carry because so much of it is fiction. President-Elect Trump destroyed BuzzFeed calling them fake news and a pile of garbage at press conference. He also dumped on CNN.
He then handled other leftist loser organizations with their loaded questions about "Russian Hacking" turning it on the incompetence of Democrats and Obama, they looked like the 'pretend journalists' which they are. I want reporters to do their jobs and a very large part of the job is to verify sources. I expect crazy, lame stories from the tabloids. CNN should be stripped of its broadcast license, and I hope Trump's family sues BuzzFeed for millions in damages.
When you publish unsubstantiated information it's called slander. I am sick of the unprofessional behavior of all liberal media. BuzzFeed and CNN got caught spewing "fake news" again. This is not new; they do it all the time. Fair and factual reporting from most outlets is never going to happen. If they can't find the dirt they want, they'll just make it up as they go.
Question from Acosta of CNN...
• Jim Acosta: “Since you are attacking us, can you give us a question?”
• Trump replied: “No, not you, your organization is terrible!”
• Acosta continued: “You are attacking our news organization, can you give us a chance to ask a question, sir?”
• Trump reminded Acosta: “don’t be rude.” “I’m not going to give you a question. I’m not going to give you a question. You are fake news!”
Following the press conference, NBC and the Trump Transition exposed the entire construct of the CNN narrative, as created by Jake Tapper, Jim Sciutto, Evan Perez and Carl Bernstein was ENTIRELY FALSE.
