Obama Will Veto GOP Bill That Restores Funding For Veterans' Benefits

Via: WhiteHouse.gov.
Statement of Administration Policy

The Administration strongly opposes House passage of H.J. Res. 70, H.J. Res. 71, H.J. Res. 72, H.J. Res. 73, and H.R. 3230, making fiscal year 2014 appropriations for very limited activities. Consideration of appropriations bills in a piecemeal fashion is not a serious or responsible way to run the United States Government. Instead of opening up a few Government functions, the House of Representatives should re-open all of the Government. The harmful impacts of a shutdown extend across Government, affecting services that are critical to small businesses, women, children, seniors, and others across the Nation. The Senate acted in a responsible manner on a short-term funding measure to maintain Government functions and avoid a damaging Government shutdown. The House of Representatives should allow a straight up or down vote on the Senate-passed H.J. Res. 59.

If the President were presented with H.J. Res. 70, H.J. Res. 71, H.J. Res. 72, H.J. Res. 73, and H.R. 3230, he would veto the bills.
Blog author's comments - What a small, little man. Obama is used to yes men and groveling subservient liberals, I doubt he has had much experience in dealing with men like our war veterans, with their honesty and integrity. In fact, I don't believe he cares that much about our veterans and what they have sacrificed and done for our country.

Obama is an incompetent person yet his goal to dismantle America is working according to his plan. The Obama administration with the help of the liberal media is building a country for the low-information people, the lowest common denominator among us. This is what bothers me the most because it is not a plan for a great country.

  1. I agree with your comments. I also believe this is about politics. He is making the 'shutdown' as painful as possible while blaming the Republicans. He will use this to again get his way and hope that it helps the Democrats regain the House in 2014.
