Trump Vows To Use His Pen On Health Care...

Daily Caller -- President Donald Trump declared he would get a repeal to the Affordable Care Act by executive order if he needed early Tuesday morning.

“Since Congress can’t get its act together on HealthCare, I will be using the power of the pen to give great HealthCare to many people – FAST,” the president tweeted, suggesting that an executive order is on the way that will address health care.

The House of Representatives passed a measure that would have repealed the bill nationally known as Obamacare over the summer, but the Senate remains unable to pass legislation.

The latest Senate initiative sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy was universally condemned by Democrats, and Republicans like Sen. John McCain asserted they would never support the measure.

The president reportedly reached out to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer last week in an attempt to work out a deal on health care, but if the president is considering unilateral action on the matter, it’s likely the conversation produced little real movement on the issue.

Blog Author's Comments: The ACA is an awful law. But, it cannot be done away with by Executive Order. Congress should do their job. If they would vote to repeal it and stop funding it (imposing the many different taxes that are paid by all of us) Obamacare would eventually be gone. The Affordable Care Act is an extremely convoluted healthcare law and system. Depending upon which state you reside in you can receive terrible coverage or semi-terrible coverage and the cost to those who have it continues to rise. President Trump can toss out any executive order made by Obama, and likely should. And he can make an executive order as to a law if it’s ‘clarifying.’ But he cannot legally make an executive order that repeals Obamacare any more than Obama with his ‘pen and phone’ could create or change law.

It does not matter if it’s a favorable result, its counter to the Constitution. A majority of those with health insurance prior to Obamacare were satisfied with their existing plans, the ones Obama lied to and told them 'if you like you healthcare you can keep your healthcare'. How many of those people were able to keep their plans? What the Obama administration expected, was that the ACA would evolve into, was a Medicare or Medicaid type plan with many receiving it and paying nothing for it.

It does not matter what Trump comes up with. The Democrats will always find a leftist judge to block whatever he may do. The same as they did on immigration. It will be appealed to the ninth circuit, they will overturn in spite of the law and it would then go to the Supreme Court. It is a disgrace, that no matter what the president does, Senator John McCain will disagree with him along with Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. Members of his own party want him to fail and allow much of the country to continue in disarray just for spite, as long as it pleases them.

Year Of Inaction: Obama Puts Off Big Agenda Items Until After Elections

Truth Revolt -- Although President Obama angrily vowed to sidestep Congress on major issues as part of a "year of action," he plans to lay low until after the Nov. 4 elections, widely expected to be a bloodbath for Democrats.

Chief among the delays is Obamacare. Americans forced out of their health care plans by the Affordable Care Act will not find out how much their new insurance will cost until after the mid-terms.

Enrollment on the Healthcare.gov website doesn't begin until Nov. 15, six weeks later than its Oct. 1 kickoff last year. Critics say there's a simple reason for the delay.

"This is more than just a glitch," Tim Phillips, president of free-market Americans for Prosperity, said in a Friday statement. "The administration's decision to withhold the costs of this law until after Election Day is just more proof that Obamacare is a bad deal for Americans."

Millions of Americans have lost their insurance plans under new guidelines in Obamacare. Millions more have seen their rates double, triple, even quadruple -- insurance companies say the new stringent guidelines have outlawed many existing health care plans.

Meanwhile, immigration reform, which Obama has pushed hard for years, pledging to act without Congress, won't happen until at least the winter session of Congress. Obama has all but ignored the issue in his campaign stump speeches, aware that fears of a blanket "amnesty" for the 11 million to 15 million illegal aliens in the United States will turn off voters.

What's more, if Republicans take over the Senate as expected, any "reform" could be permanently tabled. The highly partisan president has created a toxic atmosphere on Capitol Hill, and finding Republicans to support his overhaul will prove difficult, even impossible.

In another delay-and-deflect move, Obama this week announced he would not pick a new Attorney General until after the elections.

Current AG Eric Holder, a lightning rod for many Republicans -- including a majority in the House, which held him in contempt of Congress last year -- has announced he is stepping down. Several names have circulated as replacements have prompted anger from Republicans, setting up a contentious battle to win confirmation for any nominee.

When he took office, Obama vowed to have the "most transparent" administration ever. What does that mean? He'll tell you after the elections.

Blog author's comments - Why would anyone think that after six years of his failed presidency, Obama is going to do something that benefit's America rather then continue to destroy the country? And if the voters in November are ignorant enough to allow Obama and the Democrats to retain the Senate there may be no hope to reverse the damage this president has done and will continue to do.

Once he puts into action all of his plans, his agenda will be fully exposed. Just to name one, Obamacare and our healthcare system. Even after the 'Affordable Care Act' was passed the president continues to make changes to the law to suit his agenda. Some of the laws which should already be in place have been delayed until after the midterm elections for purely political reasons. Along with everything else he has planned, his popularity could utterly bottom out, and perhaps take the entire party down with him.

All of this may do serious damage for any prospective Democrat presidential hopefuls for 2016. But there may now be too many hard core liberals who even if Obama's laws hurt them with remain on the side of the Democrats. It would be excellent if everything Obama wants to do would create serious problems for the Democrats during his last two years in office and leave them without control of the White House after the 2016 election.

Blog author's comments - Obamacare is supposed to be a law, but it is being continually rewritten by the Executive Branch of the government. Because of Obama, the Democrats, and the ACA there has already been great harm done to millions of Americans by the loss of their health insurance plans which they were lied to about and told they could keep if they wanted to, period.

And now because Obamacare has proven to be a complete failure and so many people will be without health care by the first of the year, instead of the Obama administration improving the enrollment system so it at least functions, Obama dictates to "insurers to hand out free health care—at a loss—to those whom the White House has rendered uninsured." Apparently Obama, the dictator-in-chief, can make changes to the ACA law as he chooses and there is no one to stop him. For a large number of people, life with Obama as president continues to get worse.
