Biden Thinks He Saved The US Economy
As Prices Increase And Inflation Skyrockets

This man has not done anything but talk during his time as a politician since 1976. This lifelong politician is also a lifelong liar. Add to that his total incompetence and his world class corruption and you have the quintessential leftist Democrat. How could anyone argue that we are better now than we were a year ago? Does anybody actually think he understands anything? He is just parroting what his "advisors" are telling him. This is embarrassing, they trot him out and give him some prepared statements and think that is fooling us.

Seeing that around 40% of all small businesses, 110,000 restaurants alone were lost and unemployment benefits expired, it's quite easy to twist those numbers to seem like growth. This person talks about raising working class wages while sanctioning illegal immigration which undermines those wages by creating more competition entry level jobs. President Trump followed the opposite approach and wages increased amid an economic surge. Biden is living in an upside-down inside out world in his own mind that has nothing to do with reality. The man forgot about President Trump’s four years and described Obama/Biden’s legacy.

The California Version of The Green New Deal and an
October 16, 2020, EPA Settlement With Transportation is
What's Creating The Container Shipping Backlog —
Working CA Ports 24/7 Will Not Help, Here's Why

Hundreds of requests for details on the specifics of the container shipping backlog. So, I spent 3 days calling sources, digging for details and gathering information on the substantive issue at hand. The epicenter of the problem is not what is being outlined by financial media, corporate media and politicians who have a specific interest in distracting from the issues at hand. This has nothing to do with COVID-19.

The issues being discussed today relate to events that happened a long time ago. As a matter of fact, it was so predictable that Amazon, Walmart, UPS, FedEx, Samsung, The Home Depot and Target all had taken actions years ago -long before COVID- because they knew this day would come. It was not accidental that those companies showed up at the White House to discuss the issue, because there’s now a full court press to hide it. There is one very specific regional issue driving the problem. Read on:
The trucking issue with California LA ports, ie the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB), is that all semi tractors have to be current with new California emissions standards. As a consequence, that mean trucks cannot be older than 3 years if they are to pick up or deliver containers at those ports. This issue wipes out approximately half of the fleet trucks used to move containers in/out of the port. Operating the port 24/7 will not cure the issue, because all it does is pile up more containers that sit idle as they await a limited number of trucks to pick them up. THIS is the central issue.

On October 16, 2020, the EPA reached a settlement agreement with California Air Resource Board (CARB) to shut down semi tractor rigs that were non-compliant with new California emission standards:

2020 SAN FRANCISCO – “Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced settlements with three interstate trucking companies imposing $417,000 in penalties for violating the California Air Resources Board’s federally enforceable Truck and Bus Regulation, Drayage Truck Regulation and Transport Refrigeration Unit Regulation.

“As trucks are one of the largest sources of air pollution in California, EPA will continue to ensure these heavy-duty vehicles have the needed pollution-control equipment and operate in compliance with the rules,”said EPA Pacific Southwest Regional Administrator John Busterud. “These companies have agreed to bring their trucks into compliance and operate more cleanly in all communities they serve.”

As noted, years ago the private sector predicted this would happen, and they started taking actions to protect their supply chains. What these massive corporations did to reduce their exposure to supply chain disruption was to immediately formulate plans to divert their goods to other ports. This was a very expensive shift in supply chain and logistic efforts for these massive corporations, which includes: Amazon, Walmart, UPS, FedEx, Samsung, The Home Depot and Target.

A long time before and during the era of the Trump administration, those massive multinational corporations knew they would need to redirect their import cargo quickly to avoid the bottleneck caused by California’s new emission standards. They began organizing new destination ports for their products and began setting up new hubs and distribution networks to avoid the predictable California port bottlenecks.

Obviously, for politically correct reasons; and in an effort to avoid the woke mob of environmentalist jackboots, the corporations didn’t publicly share any of the issues they could foresee coming – they just worked independently and quietly to avoid the issue.

No amount of extra productivity in working the docks to off-load ships will solve the issue of trucks that cannot pick up the containers and distribute them toward manufacturing or warehouses.

Via. Sundance of TLR

So, California is now allowed to bottleneck the entire nation’s goods, with their demented regulations. There is nothing that this administration does that they do not screw up. This is not bad management; this is the state of California and the Biden Administration inflicting pain on the rest of America. Why cannot federal laws be used to fight this problem; it is an attack on interstate commerce. Blue states create problems so they can transform this country fundamentally.

Look at any liberal city and you realize they cannot govern, California, New York, Chicago they are all disasters economically and because of crime. These people pride themselves on being the first to institute moralistic, heroic-sounding ideas, as if they are saving the planet. But, they never consider the ramifications, outcome or even what will replace the common sense practices. So many Democrats are devoid of logic or reality.

Tony Heller: Dr. Fauci's Self Fulfilling Crisis...

Blog Author's Comments: Dr. Fauci testified before Congress Tuesday, and warned us about more serious health problems. I do not believe he has helped our situation, it was also reported "Dr. Fauci said U. S. could soon see 100,000 new coronavirus cases per day." He gets away with telling a lie, and then months later, saying the exact opposite. If it were up to him we would still be sheltered in our homes. Imagine how low the current death rate would be for the virus, if the medical administrators were honest about the number of people that died directly as a result of COVID-19, and not another medical condition that caused their death. The United States is now probably achieving 'herd immunity', because many people decided to go on with their lives. The information received in this video, is common sense reporting, which you will never receive from any of the media outlets.

COVID-19 was a true gift for the Democratic Party and their friends the media. President Trump had achieved the best economy and and jobs creation we have seen in many decades, while dealing with and withstanding the daily onslaught of lies and attempts to remove him from office. The left has tried numerous tactics to hurt the President's chance for a second term and so far have failed. Along with the virus, the country is also dealing with the deaths of George Floyd, and Rayshard Brooks, black men who died while resisting arrest from the police who happened to be white. I have no doubt that if the dead men were white and police black, nothing would have been mentioned about either situation, and no rioting, looting or destruction of property would have ooccured.

If Joe Biden and his running mate are elected to office as the heads of the free world, America will be in serious trouble, and our enemy countries will rejoice. If this should happen, we will never recover from the voters ignorant mistake, of placing Biden in the White House. Dr. Fauci, the politicians and media are and have created, as much fear as they can to continue to destroy the economy and all President Trump has achieved. Now, Fauci, is fear mongering, a new swine flu from China. If you don't believe this is all to accomplish a political goal, there is no hope for you or our country. The objective was not only to slow down the disease, it was to slow down the economy and President Trump, during an election year.

Fixing The Economy: How Loans Enable COVID-19
Lockdown And Why Federal Spending Must Stop

Blog Author's Input: Stephen Moore is certainly correct when he illustrates how California Governor Gavin Newsom, has taken police and fireman as hostages, in Newsom's attempt to extort more funding from the federal government to cover the California debt ridden budget.

As Moore points out, Newsom and his band of corrupt thugs are doing nothing to reduce the extravagant public pensions, which in some upper management positions, results in pensions greater than the individual was earning at the time of retirement.

Newsom and his cronies are simply un-indicted felons at this point in time. They have robbed the state treasury, loaded it with monumental debt and are now threatening to withhold funding of essential public safety services, if their demands are not met. How much more corrupt can one person be? And there are other Democrat governors doing the same thing.

Senator Rand Paul: We Can't Shut Our Entire Economy Down...

Blog Author's Comments: The doctors, Democrats and media scared everyone with fake data and lies. Sweden did no lock down, and had the same percentage of sick and deceased people as the counties that did do the lock down. It has been said that the far reaching emergency powers state Governors and health administrators was going to cause serious problems and they have.

President Trump put trust in the supposedly learned doctors, Fauci and Birx, with hope of saving lives, yet also allowed them to trash the greatest economy America has ever known. It is happening and we must end this insanity immediately, it should never have been allowed to continue this long. I must believe Doctor Anthony Fauci is in the Democrats pocket, a registered Democrat who voted for Hillary Clinton.

When are we going to stop obeying unconstitutional drastic provisions, that are not laws, that prevents a person from providing for themselves and family. Numerous state and government officials are intoxicated on power and need to be removed from office.

After attempting to oust the President for over 3 years, this pandemic was a gift the left is enjoying, and wants it to continue. They see it as a chance to win the presidency in the coming general election. I thought Attorney General Barr was supposed to stop these tyrants, the governors of many states. Donate to members of the Republican Party, we must retain the presidency and win back the House.

U.S. Intelligence, China's Wuhan Lab, The Economy...

New Details Emerge as United States
Intelligence Investigates Wuhan Lab

Kirby's Comments: Let us hope the US intelligence community is finally doing something besides the failed attempted coup of candidate/President Trump. Weren't many of us considered "conspiracy theorists" when we thought the same thing covered in the above video, back when this started? My opinion...Dr. Fauci is part of the deep state, and his opinions and comments should not be a part of the President's daily briefings.

He, Dr. Birx, the Democrats and media have all helped to wreak the U.S. economy. There is no doubt there was some nefarious things going on within that lab in Wuhan. And I am not surprised how our media seems to be taking China at their word, but continually attempts to pin the reason for what has happened with the Pandemic on President Trump. The media definitely, will cheer for the demise of our nation, because of their pure unadulterated hatred for President Trump.

Kevin Hassett: Here's When Every
State's Economy Might Reopen

Kirby's Comments: The President listened to supposedly, a few learned doctors while making decisions on the Coronavirus. He did what they recommended was necessary to protect the American people. The virus was and is an attack by very corrupt and deadly people, and did what China denies was intended, wreaking our economy. Looking back, our population possibly could have been protected just as well as it has been without trashing the economy.

Many thousands of people lost their right to make money during March, April and it continues in a free country. All of the state and federal government employees should have lost the same income. Expect the 20 Democrat states to be last to open, they do not want the country to prosper while President Trump is still in the White House.

Obama Tells Us Again - The Economy Needs A Jolt

Obama '09 and '11: Economy
Really Needs A "JOLT" Right Now

Blog author's comments - The only jolt much of America is willing to give President Obama will be his firing next year. Another “jolt” gimmick is exactly what the country does not need. A calm return to business-friendly policies is required, but Barack Obama will not go there.

In 2011 - the Jobs Bill needs to pass to give the economy a "jolt." In 2009 - the Stimulus Bill had to pass to give the economy a "jolt." The 'Stimulus' bill did nothing to help the economy. The 'Jobs Bill' is another worthless piece of legislation which Obama is using to try to gain a second term as President.

So far, everything Boehner and the Republicans in the house do, immediately gets shot down in the Senate. The GOP must retain control of the House and regain control of the Senate with the 2012 election.

The Senate is supposed to take up Obama's jobs bill next week after adding to the bill a tax increase on million-dollar earners. Obama said he will support this. How will this create jobs? With more taxes on the million dollar earners - Obama and the Democrats are declaring war on the job creators.

U.S. unemployment is currently at 9.1 percent and is expected to stay as high as 9 percent into the 2012 presidential electoral year. Recent U.S. history shows that no president has been re-elected at such a high level of unemployment. I hope this "history" will continue with the 2012 presidential election.

Obama Says He Is An Underdog In 2012

Calling himself an "underdog," President Obama today
said the faltering economy is a drag on his presidency and seriously impairing his chances of winning again in 2012.

ABC News - "Absolutely," he said in response to a question from ABC News' George Stephanopoulos about whether the odds were against him come November 2012, given the economy. "I'm used to being the underdog. But at the end of the day people are going to ask -- who's got a vision?"

The American people, he conceded, are "not better off" than they were four years ago.

"The unemployment rate is way too high," he said of the 9 percent jobless rate, the highest in more than half a century.

Obama said his proposed American Jobs Act will put construction workers, teachers and veterans to work and give "more consumers more confidence."

Foreign affairs, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and social issues like gay marriage will all be fodder on the campaign trail, but with the first caucus and primaries less than 100 days away, no issue looms larger for 2012 than the economy and jobs. - Keep reading...

Blog author's comments - Obama, we will not be any better after another 4 years of your regime! Don’t act like you can turn this economy around. Your policies are killing this country.

His Jobs Bill is going no where. It will be DOA in the House and the Democrat controlled Senate does not want it. Harry Reid knows he does not have the votes to pass it.

It’s not the faltering economy that is a drag on his presidency - it’s his faltering presidency which is a drag on the economy.

We will hear from now until the election..."I was handed an economy that was in terrible shape, none of this was my fault." Also, "I tried to work with the Republican Party, but the Republicans have stood in the way and would not work with me to fix the economy."

I hope that Obama and anyone else in his administration that can be removed, is gone after the 2012 election.

Obama - Tells Us To Pay Our Fair Share

Obama: Americans must pay fair share to cut deficit

Reuters - President Barack Obama said on Saturday that Americans need to be ready to "pay their fair share" to narrow the deficit, previewing his proposals to Congress that are expected to include more taxes on the rich.

In his weekly radio and video address, the Democrat said his $447 billion jobs plan that features tax breaks for workers and small businesses, plus funds for public works projects and schools, "will not add to the deficit. It will be paid for."

"On Monday, I'll lay out my plan for how we'll do that -- how we'll pay for this plan and pay down our debt by following some basic principles: making sure we live within our means and asking everyone to pay their fair share."

Obama has repeatedly argued for the wealthiest Americans to face higher taxes with fewer loopholes and exceptions as part of the effort to ensure the U.S. debtload remains in control.

Republicans, who have raised the volume on Washington's fiscal problems as the November 2012 presidential election nears, see higher taxes on the wealthy as a problem for jobs, given that entrepreneurs and companies would be strongly affected.

Blog author's comments - Will someone in the media ask the President to explicitly define “fair share”? I doubt that we will receive a clear answer. Obama's Jobs Bill should be dead in the House, and I doubt that it will pass in the Senate.

This whole facade is a campaign stunt. He must be out of the White House in 2013. I pity the Republicans who inherit this mess that Obama and his party have created.

Obama Has New Ideas To Enhance Economy?

White House: Only 'Fervent Partisan' Would
Suggest Obama To Blame For Job Losses

When asked questions about the president’s upcoming speech on jobs and economic growth yesterday, White House Spokesperson Jay Carney claimed that only the most ‘fervent partisan’ would suggest the 8 million plus jobs lost in this recession were lost because of actions Barack Obama took.

Q -- Jay, the question is what is different in this new speech? What is going to be different?

MR. CARNEY: Well, you will see what the President proposes to enhance growth, enhance hiring, and you will judge then what's different about the new ideas that are contained within it as well as ideas that you've heard about. But I can't let the premise go uncommented on when you talk about the amount of job loss in the time since the President took -- was sworn into office. I don't think anybody except the most fervent partisan would suggest that the 8 million jobs lost because of this recession were lost because of actions that this President took. Those jobs were lost within the four months -- in the months prior to his swearing-in, his inauguration, and in the months thereafter.

Blog author's comments - From now on you can refer to me as a "fervent partisan". This is simply one more time Obama has promised to come up with a plan to create jobs. He said the same thing in 2010. The man hasn’t a clue…..nor does he intend to get one.

He only wants to throw more money at the problem. He has already done that which is why the country has such a mountain of debt. He will probably propose Stimulus II for at least $1.6 Trillion. The GOP controlled House will hopefully say no to this.

This is what he wants to happen - this is his plan - so he can tell the voters over and over prior to the election (1) The recession is the fault of the previous administration. (2) If it were not for the GOP controlled House the economy would be in much better shape.

Obama has no other choice. He cannot run on his record of accomplishments. He has none. He has been a complete disaster.

Obama Said: Creating Jobs Is Not Rocket Science

Obama: Creating jobs 'not rocket science'

Washington Examiner - Barack Obama attended a high dollar fundraiser last night after the stock market lost over 600 points in daily trading, but he didn't demonstrate the panic that struck Wall Street that day.

"Markets will go up and down, but the underlying challenges have held steady for too long," he said at an outreach event at the St. Regis Hotel.

The president told donors that he was concerned about partisan deadlock and the dysfunctional political culture in Washington.

“This is not rocket science in terms of how we can create more jobs in this country,” he said at a fundraiser where tickets cost $15,000 per family.

Blog author's comments - Here’s a question I read the other day –- Can you find anyone that voted in 2008, who didn’t vote for Obama, who would vote for him today?

The unemployment rate has taken a huge jump since Obama took office and he says creating jobs is "not rocket science." No, it’s really not rocket science. But, since this simpleton has never done anything other than agitate communities, he’s a total failure at the most basic things this country needs.

I don't believe even Jimmy Carter was as incompetent as the current president. Now we know what inexperience in leadership provides.

Even more stunning than the nonsense he says, is the fact that so many people were willing to pay $15K to see him at a fundraiser. Can you imagine – after all that’s gone on in just the last week – thinking that he’s the guy to pin your hopes and dreams on for the future?

More Obama Talk, Campaign Tour About Economy

Your Taxes Paying for Obama's Campaign Bus Tour

Fox News - President Barack Obama’s upcoming bus tour through the Midwest states typically viewed as swing states during presidential election years will be paid for by the taxpayers, the White House says.

Obama will start the tour on Aug. 15 and will talk about strengthening jobs and the economy, the White House announced on Tuesday.

“He is very happily getting out into the country again after a very sustained period here in Washington and he looks forward to talking to folks about growing the economy, creating jobs," said White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. "We will have more details, as I said, about the specifics of the trip."

Carney indicated he did not know now precisely where the president would go or what he might be announcing.

CNSNews.com asked Carney, “Is that a campaign event or a presidential event?

Carney answered, “Negative. That is an official event.”

CNSNews.com followed, “So it is being funded by taxpayers in battleground states?”

Carney responded, “He’s the president of the United States.”

Blog author's comments - White House Spokesperson Jay Carney said Obama "looks forward to talking to folks about growing the economy, creating jobs." On Thursday August 4 Carney said "the White House doesn't create jobs."

We know what Obama has done, he has trashed our economy and as long as he is in the White House he will continue to do so. I don't believe this tour will help the loser.

Democrats see the US taxpayer’s hard earned money as their entitlement. The Bus Tour is going to flop, just as the entire Democrat Party. This Democrat nightmare must be ended this 2012. It's time to return to sanity.

Small Business Executives Reluctant To Hire

Little Hiring Seen by Small Business

Wall Street Journal - WASHINGTON—The U.S. labor market could stay sluggish for a while, with small-business executives reluctant to hire amid the murky economic outlook.

Almost two-thirds—64%—of small-business executives surveyed said they weren't expecting to add to their payrolls in the next year and another 12% planned to cut jobs, according to a U.S. Chamber of Commerce report to be released Monday. Just 19% said they would expand their work forces.

This comes after a Labor Department report Friday showed employers added few jobs in June, and unemployment rose to 9.2%. The bleak figures joined other data showing the recovery losing momentum in recent months, which has caused many analysts and policy makers to lower their forecasts for economic growth in the second half of the year.

More than half of the small-business executives in the June 27-30 survey cited economic uncertainty as the main reason for holding back on hiring. About a third blamed lack of sales, while just 7% pointed to problems getting credit. - Continue reading...

U.S. Payrolls Grow at Slowest Pace in Nine Months as Jobless Rate Climbs

Top Obama Advisor Says Unemployment Won't Be Key in 2012

Blog author's comments - Unemployment at 9.2%, 64% of small business execs won’t be hiring and 12% of small business execs planning cuts. This is what we get when the country votes for and elects a Socialist who’s never had a real job to be the leader of our country.

What is pathetic about Obama - he apparently believes he has done a good job and what he has done in less than three years should have no adverse effect on him in the 2012 election.

It's past time for the Republican conservatives to inform the voters what Obama and the Democrat Party have done to the economy and want to continue to do. The only way to stop what is happening is to bounce Obama and his regime out of Washington.

Economy and Unemployment - Not Obama's Fault

Obama: Don't Look At Me, It's Not My Fault

Fox News - President Obama delivered a dreary statement in the Rose Garden this morning after a dismal jobs report, which showed the US economy adding just 18,000 jobs in June, the unemployment rate spiking up to 9.2%. A year after the WH proclaimed "recovery summer,: and two years after a trillion dollar "stimulus" program, the President blamed a series of "headwinds" for what he described as a "rocky" "recovery."

Obama said Greece, natural disasters, high gas prices, state budget cuts and uncertainty about the debt ceiling were prohibiting the economy from creating more jobs, which critics called just more finger-pointing from the White House "Streamlining the patent process" and new infrastructure spending were a few solutions to the jobs crisis offered by the President this morning, leaving many economists scratching their heads.

Looking detached, Mr. Obama plodded back into the White House with his head down, without acknowledging any responsibility for the struggling economy and appearing to some critics extremely out of touch.

Blog author's comments - The only reason there is no recovery is Obama still has his job. At least he didn’t blame Bush. Obama is much worse than idiotic - he’s evil.

The arrogance of this guy knows no bounds. To stand up before us and continually tell these lies shows you what he thinks of the intelligence of the American people. I guess in his mind we are all the “useful idiots”. We must vote Obama and his regime out of Washington in 2012.

Obama Is Not Worried About Another Recession

Obama: "I'm not concerned about a double-dip recession."

CBS News - "I'm not concerned about a double-dip recession," Mr. Obama said at a joint press conference at the White House with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. "I am concerned the recovery we're on is not producing jobs as quickly as I'd like."

Last week's jobs report from the Labor Department showed that the unemployment rate rose to 9.1 percent in May. Employers hired only 54,000 new workers last month, the fewest in eight months.

"We don't yet know whether this is a one-month episode or a longer" problem, the president said.

Mr. Obama pointed out today that prior to this latest disappointing report, the U.S. economy experienced three months of robust growth. He pointed to additional signs of economic recovery, such as the rebound of the domestic manufacturing sector.

But, he said, "We've still got some enormous work to do."

The president said job creation is at the top of his mind every day and that his administration has taken steps that have already helped, such as the payroll tax cut instituted.

In order to deal with more long-term competitive challenges, he said, Washington will have to invest in areas like energy and education, reform the tax system and get a handle on the national debt and deficit "in a way that's balanced and sensible."

Blog author's comments - Obama will continue this mantra until the 2012 election. He cannot honestly run on his policies or agenda.

"Prior to this month we had seen three months of very robust job growth in the private sector."

"Over 2 million jobs created over the past 15 months."

"We have set a path that will lead us to long term economic growth."

Everything he says is made to appear as though he has accomplished something great. Just the opposite has happened. He is responsible for our economy and his policies will not bring recovery.

Federal Jobs Grow - Private Sector Jobs Do Not

Federal Workforce Continues to Grow Under Obama Budget

heritage.org - Since the beginning of the last recession (December 2007) the private sector workforce has shrunk by 6.6% while shedding more than 7.5 million jobs. Over that same time period, the federal government workforce (excluding Census and Postal workers) has grown by 11.7% while adding 230,000 jobs.
This trend has continued throughout the Obama Administration. Since President Barack Obama was sworn into office, the private sector workforce has shrunk by 2.6% while shedding 2.9 million jobs while the federal workforce (excluding Census and Postal workers) has grown by 7% while adding more than 144,000 jobs.

Now, President Obama's FY 2012 budget budget proposes adding even more people to the federal payroll. Specifically, the President wants to create an additional 15,000 federal government jobs including 4,182 additional Internal Revenue Service employees 1,054 of which will be need to implement Obamacare alone.

The problem with all these additional government jobs is that government spending does not create the economic growth needed to sustain private sector job growth.

Comments via Heritage analysts James Sherk and Rea Hederman - "The resources the government spends do not materialize out of thin air—they are taken from the private sector. Research shows that government spending crowds out private investment. Each $1 increase in government spending reduces private-sector investment by between $0.46 and $0.97 after two years and $0.74 and $0.95 over five years.

Government spending substitutes for private-sector investment; it does not supplement it. Increased government spending further reduces private-sector investment, making the problem of low job creation worse. Moreover, government spending misdirects economic resources. Political priorities, not economic return, drive government spending. The desires of influential Members of Congress and political fads determine where government appropriations are allocated. This often differs greatly from the use that creates the most wealth and jobs.

This is one of the main reasons why countries in which the government spends heavily to create jobs—such as France and Germany—do not enjoy higher employment rates. In fact, countries with greater government spending and larger public-sector payrolls have higher unemployment."

Blog author's comments - Interesting information from the Heritage Foundation concerning the Federal workforce jobs and the private sector jobs created.

I think that the 8.9% unemployment rate released today is a highly suspect number. Gallup says unemployment is 10.3% and underemployment is now 19.9%. It is my belief that the Federal Government is playing with the numbers, which is why we are seeing a gradual drop in the unemployment rate, which seems to me began since the November midterm elections.

The goal for the Obama regime is to spin the unemployment number to 8% or less prior to the election of 2012, which they hope will make the economy a non-issue and pave the way for a second term for Barack Obama.

The recent jobs numbers say that unemployment is down. But the unemployment statistics are drawn from those who are filing claims for unemployment benefits; once a person exhausts their benefits they are no longer counted among the unemployed even though they are, obviously, still unemployed. That makes the situation look better than it actually is.

Also not counted are those people who have stopped looking for work, the underemployed and many part-time workers who would prefer a full time job but cannot find one.

Per Gallup - unemployment, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, hit 10.3% in February -- up from 9.8% at the end of January. The U.S. unemployment rate is now essentially the same as the 10.4% at the end of February 2010.

Robert Gibbs - Economy Better Than 2 Years Ago

Robert Gibbs: "By Virtually Any Measure, Our Economy is in a Better Place Than it Was Two Years ago."

The Democrats talked down a good economy to get elected and now try to talk up a terrible economy to stay in power.

Robert Gibbs also said: "There are, I think, Americans rightly concerned about our debt and our deficit, and the President understands that and has taken steps to introduce a budget that includes a freeze on non-security discretionary spending, and obviously will spend a decent amount of time in the next many months going through the medium and long term -- things that we need to do in the medium and long term to get our debt and deficit under control."

Hey Gibbs! Americans are concerned about our debt and our deficit? The Dems have figured this out have they? Let's take a look at what Obama has done to the economy in such a short amount of time. It seems clear to me and many others that he does not have a clue!

Uemployment rate: August 2008=6.1% vs. August 2010=9.6%

Obama also managed to triple the deficit this year. How’s that for hope and change?

Blog author's comments - Barack Hussein Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid with all their puppets in the House and Senate, have been the largest disaster to this nations economy in my lifetime.

They tried to create a better economy with out of control spending. What they did was make the economy, unemployment, the housing market etc. a total disaster. In November, I hope the voters will let them all know what a total bunch of screw-up's they are.

I really do want to see the unemployment numbers grow by a huge amount within the Democrat party ranks.

Many Democrats Face Economic Facts

Democrats Face Economic Facts: Updraft Unlikely

Wall Street Journal
By Laura Meckler

WASHINGTON—The string of bad news about housing, employment and economic growth has led Democrats to an inescapable conclusion: the economy is not likely to improve in time to help them in the fall elections.

Congressional Democrats and the White House will continue their attempts to enact policies they believe will boost the economy—and which are also aimed at persuading voters they are working to make things better. But some officials acknowledge it is too late for these initiatives to change the economic situation ahead of the Nov. 2 elections.

"We begin early voting in about 33 days. It would be hugely unrealistic to anticipate some kind of monumental economic turnaround between now and when people start casting our votes," said Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, who faces a tough re-election race.

"I'm having to deal with the reality of what is. You can't wish it away. What is, is." In Washington, Democrats hope they will get credit for legislation aimed at helping small businesses, which they plan to consider in September.

A Democratic House leadership aide said some lawmakers in the party would push for another spending bill to stimulate the economy, though he said other Democrats are likely to oppose such a move.

"I would have loved to have a better economic picture, but it is what it is," he said. "I didn't have great expectations."- Entire column

Blog author's comments - The chance for Republicans to gain back some power, looks better than it did six months ago.

But, do not take a big win in November for granted. Go to the polls and vote. Rid Washington of as many Democrats and RINO's as possible.

Another Week...And No Job?

ANOTHER WEEK...AND YOU CAN'T FIND A JOB?
By Neal Boortz -July 16, 2010
Do the businesses out there have the money to expand? Yes, they do. The desire is there as well. What business doesn't want to grow? So ... what's the problem? Why did you or someone in your family spend the week spinning their wheels looking for a job? What's holding things up?

Consider:

Major corporations are sitting on $2 trillion dollars in cash right now. Corporate profits are up.Banks have another $1trillion in excess reserves.

As National Review's economics editor Larry Kudlow points out, that's $3 trillion dollars being held in the private sector that could be financing the greatest job-creation and business growth. What's more .. this money could be financing growth in the private sector, not in government. So ... what's the problem?

Obama and the Democrats .. that's the problem.

Just a few things to consider:

This new so-called financial reform bill the Democrats have just passed calls for the creating of 243 new regulatory rule makings that will affect businesses across the country.

Tell me .. are you going to take that cash out of your reserves and start spending before you have a clear understanding of what those new rules are going to be and how they are going to affect your business? There is the law of unintended consequences out there to deal with.

Then there's ObamaCare. Tax hikes and new regulations. Businesses are still trying to figure out how this is going to affect their bottom line. For instance ... do they keep their employee health care benefits or let the government just do it all?

The fact is that businesses don't really understand what their relationship is going to be with the Imperial Federal Government in the years to come. Taxes going up? More regulations and bureaucrats to gum up the works? Will ObamaCare become the disaster that so many expect?

I don't care how much you love Barack Obama. You could think that he is just the most amazing and talented human being to ever walk the halls of the White House. The fact is that American business doesn't like this guy.

Corporate America, as a matter of fact, has just recently begun to acknowledge their dislike of the current administration. Private small business owners ... where 80% of the jobs are ... have been wary of this guy since day one.

Do you want to see these businesses start hiring? Well .. that's going to take a while. The effects of all of these new laws and regulations are going to have to make themselves known. That won't happen in weeks or months. One thing would help .. and that would be for the voters to wake up and chase as many of these left wing anti-capitalists power-hungry Democrat politicians out of office as possible in November.

In the meantime ... if you're unemployed, and if you aren't looking for a government job ... and you vote Democrat in November ... well, let's just say that the economy isn't your only problem. You may just flat-out be unemployable... Entire column

Blog author's comments - Some of the reasons for the sad shape of our economy cannot be explained much better than the Neal Boortz column. Many businesses are content to wait and see what the Obama regime does next.

They are not going to invest their cash and hope the current economic climate will change. This thinking began while Obama was campaigning prior to the election.

Obama's plans have not worked out so well have they? Unemployment is in double digits in most states. This will not improve in the near future. Boortz told us why.

Obama still wants to redistribute the wealth. He has been preaching this since he assumed office. The economy will not improve as long as the Obama administration retains their power. November is our chance to remove some of the Democrats.
