Leaker James Comey got triggered at a town hall after Anderson Cooper called him out for leaking memos to the media.
“You did leak memos. I mean is it okay for somebody at the FBI to leak something, an internal document? Even if it’s not classified? Isn’t that leaking?” Anderson Cooper asked Comey.
Comey wasn’t happy with Anderson Cooper.
“Well there’s a whole lot wrong with your question, Anderson,” Comey replied. “First, I didn’t leak memos. I asked a friend to communicate the substance of one unclassified memo…”
“One unclassified memo to the media and it’s really important, I was a private citizen,” Comey shot back.
Anderson Cooper wouldn’t let up and insisted the memo was an internal document he had written while he was FBI Director and therefore it is a leak.
At this point Comey tried to split hairs about what a leak technically is or is not, claiming a document has to be classified in order to be considered a leak.
Anderson Cooper read a part of Comey’s memo about nailing leakers to the door and asked, “shouldn’t you be nailed to the door then?”
“Plenty of people leak non classified information”, Anderson Cooper said insisting Comey is indeed a leaker.
Comey thought he would have an easy ride with a CNN town hall, but Anderson Cooper brought a little heat!

Blog Author's Comments: It seems to me that Comey was authorizing many things to be leaked because in his mind as long as it was given the "go ahead" then it was okay to leak. All leaks had to go through him before they were allowed, without repercussions. Comey can play semantics all day but this man is dishonorable at best. I was surprised that liberal Anderson Cooper stayed on Comey by calling him out as a 'leaker.'
If Cooper did not have to follow his usual leftist marching orders 95% of the time, he could be a decent reporter. Comey's credibility is now in the toilet with the thinking people. But I seriously doubt that anything legally, will happen to him. And even the gentlest questions get this guy off balance and defensive.
Imagine him having to withstand actual questioning by the media, every day. In the most nasty, vile, vicious, and slimy ways, this is what President Trump endures. It is difficult to believe that Comey rose to the rank that he did. He seems like a petulant child. He leaks material yet here he is, still walking free. And I do believe he thought a town hall hosted by CNN, he would be receiving softball questions.
