Trey Gowdy On Calls For Nunes To Be Replaced As INTEL
Chair: 'We're Not Going To Take Advice From Sen Schumer'

Breitbart -- Monday on Fox News Channel’s “The First 100 Days,” Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) responded to calls by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) to step aside as House Intelligence Committee chairman due to questions over his abilities to be an impartial arbiter.

Gowdy dismissed Schumer’s calls and said that Nunes had done nothing wrong with his investigatory efforts as committee chairman.

“I just love it when Senator Schumer gives Republicans advice on what we ought to do,” Gowdy said. “Devin is doing exactly what the chairman ought to do. When you have a source that has information, you handle that information safely, securely, which is exactly what he did. I wish Senator Schumer and some of the other Democrats would be more interested in authenticity and the reliability of the underlying data and not the means by which it was acquired. Whether it was the White House or Waffle House, what difference does it make if the information is reliable and authentic? It just so happens that Devin had to do it this way. So, we’re not going to take advice from Chuck Schumer on who our chairpeople ought to be.”
Blog Author's Comments: It seems President Trump was correct about being "wiretapped" or meaning there was surveillance of him and his people by the Obama Administration. Rep. Gowdy, I assume, will now, in a closed door hearing, ask FBI Director Comey again if he ever briefed then President Obama on the findings of the electronic surveillance. One of the real problems is that I don't think Comey can be trusted, he is much too politicized. Chairman Nunes seems to have found more information that multiple citizens’ rights have been violated by the Obama Administration officials via intelligence investigations started during the time Obama was still in office.

Rep. Devin Nunes has the power to start a separate investigation about this. And from what I have seen, apparently the Russians are getting sick of the continual accusations against them, and their Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Russia may “publish leaks” about “secrets” the Obama administration asked the Russian government to keep private. We shall see if this is true and if anything actually happens.

Is anyone surprised Obama won’t go away? And neither should we be surprised to find that our former lawless President abused even more of his executive powers as he walked out the door, leaving landmines and booby traps for Trump at every turn. Equally as offensive is the behavior of our media, which is merely an extension of the ‘establishment’ or ‘Deep State’ as they call it.

President Trump is a thick skinned man. I know of no other human that could survive the brutal pounding he receives daily from our national media. As Newt Gingrich accurately pointed out, 80-90% of the media are ‘the opposition party.’ These people are not journalists, they are propagandists. Trump has none of the benefits Obama enjoyed, no political media, no Hollywood, no print media, no Entertainment Industry. All Trump has is a handful of friendly media people, and he has those that support him and realized he is our last chance to take back the country from the left, if that is possible and it’s not too late.

We are up against the most radical lefties that have ever been in power in America. They detest what America stands for, that is why Obama wanted to ‘fundamentally change’ it, and now they have been rejected by many of the American people and they’ve completely lost their minds. They weren’t supposed to lose. These people are communists and Socialists and their goal is to overthrow our president and it absolutely cannot be allowed to happen. This is a war but I don't think that some of the GOP people in Congress feel this way; at least they are not showing me that they do.
