“I will NOT attend the inauguration of @realDonaldTrump. When you insult @repjohnlewis, you insult America.”
No senators have announced a boycott yet, though several Democrat senators have not announced whether they will attend or boycott.
Blog Author's Comments -- The Democrats are showing their true colors. They abused the power, given to them by the people, for Obama's lawlessness too long. This has gone to their heads. They needed a serious reality check and received it when 'queen' Hillary was defeated. If they don't show respect for President Trump, he should ignore them for the next 4/8 years. The upside is the probability of shoplifting, theft, burglary, robbery, arson, rioting, and assault, just dropped. The criminals disinvited themselves.
The above list is of just a few of the Democrats who have raked in millions for themselves while doing nothing for their own constituents. President Trump is making America great again even before taking office, plus he's basically nullifying Obama's entire presidency. Obama will have no legacy left to claim by the time Trump is finished. Obama's legacy is exactly what he gave to America nothing! But, he was a great gun salesman…credit where credit is due. I still remember the Democrats whining about Trump causing a constitutional crisis if he didn't accept the results of the election. This was just more talk by the leftists.
The majority has spoken. The celebration will take place in spite of what the Democrats decide to do. No one should allow these people to ruin the celebration that will occur on Friday, January 20th. It was a great victory for America on November 8th. The party will continue on. But I would expect better of adults elected to represent American citizens. It appears that more than a few care more about foreign nationals than the people they are supposed to serve. I am glad they will not show, we only want to see happy people at the inauguration. No bad attitudes and nasty faces allowed. Hopefully the RINO's will also stay home. And the entire Democratic Party does not have to be there, we don't need them, they have proven who they really are.
From the liberal media: "President-elect Donald Trump sparked outrage Saturday by attacking Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., after the civil rights icon said he would skip Trump's inauguration and doesn't consider his election legitimate."
Trump tweeted: "Congressman John Lewis should spend more time fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results," - "All talk, talk, talk and no action or results. Sad!" And Donald Trump is being criticized for defending himself. Is he supposed to listen to this racist black man, who has been in Congress almost 30 years and done nothing? He is not a civil rights icon. I have no respect for Lewis because he deserves none.
