The Blaze -- So, first the Obama administration insisted that they never knew the U.S. consulate in Benghazi needed added security.
Then the State Department confirmed that the consulate had, in fact, requested additional security.
And then Joe Biden insisted during a nationally televised debate that no one told him or President Obama.
Now today, the Obama White House is defending Biden’s remarks, explaining that the requests for security in Benghazi went to the State Department and that the White House — despite being the boss of the State Department — didn’t know anything about it.
So while the Obama administration is engaged in a game of he-said/she-said finger-pointing, I can’t help but recall the poignant ad of the 2008 election cycle in which Hillary Clinton attacked then-Sen. Obama for his lack of experience in making, er, “gutsy” calls.
Blog author's comments - As President of the United States Barack Obama must be held responsible. We had an ambassador in a hostile and unstable country. President Obama, don't you think we should have had a higher level of security?
Could it be that he does not attend the intelligence briefings as often as the president should? In fact according to the White House calendar, there is no public record of President Barack Obama attending his daily intelligence briefing–known as the Presidential Daily Brief (PDB)–in the week leading up to the attacks on the U.S. embassy in Cairo and the murder of U.S. Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens and three American members of his staff.
This shows how inept Obama and his entire administration are. And there are still many people who want Obama and Biden reelected and in charge of our country for four more years...amazing!
