Trey Gowdy Discusses Peter Strzok's Political Lawsuit...

Former House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy appears on Fox News to discuss the latest nonsense from former FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok.

Blog Author's Comments: I was at one time a supporter of Trey Gowdy. While in Congress he presented decent arguments but I don't recall that he accomplished much. I put him in the same category as Lindsey Graham, some days he is very good with his analysis, and other days not so much. I now listen to his comments and insight, because he had been in the thick of political battles in Washington. Now that he is no longer in Congress I suppose it is easier for him to say much of what is on his mind.

As for Peter Strzok, hopefully when he was fired he also lost his government pension and benefits. As Gowdy said he is probably having a difficult time finding a job. With his many contacts he now has a lawyer that is attempting to assist him. The thought that I would not have had four years ago, is that it would not surprise me if the now head of the FBI Christopher Wray, would give him a job.

No one should trust him either. Wray is holding files that should have been given to the DOJ but this has not happened. There is much more that America should know but Wray is hiding, with hope that President Trump will be defeated in 2020. If that should happen and Democrats gain more power, they will gladly 'sweep under the rug', much of what has transpired since President Trump announced his intention to run, and won the presidency.

Gowdy On Rosenstein Defending
The Handling Of Mueller Report...

Blog Author's Remarks: Has Trey Gowdy not followed Rosenstein's actions from the time he appointed Mueller until the President was found 'not guilty' from the Mueller report? He was much closer to him than I am, a member of the general public. Rosenstein signed the FISA warrant and is definitely a swamp creature. Until the Mueller report was published, he did everything he could to bury Trump. He is now distancing himself from the high crime the deep state has committed, and he was involved in, with hope that no one comes after him for his part in this absolute waste of the President's time, energy and taxpayer's money.

While Democrats have been chasing Russian Collusion for over two years, President Trump has been doing a very good job of governing our country, with zero help from the Justice Department. Also, former acting director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe said Rosenstein offered to wear a wire into the White House, to secretly record and attempt to entrap the President.

Maybe Rosenstein is cutting a deal, but he is absolutely very far from being an innocent person. He should have never established a special counsel and is deeply involved in this disaster. Are we going to see a day when the Mueller Report is thrown into the dustbin of history and no one talks about? I seriously doubt it, this is all the democrats have and they will continue with this same narrative through the 2020 election.

Rosenstein I believe, is a bonified member of the Deep State, and he acted on it's behalf for a long time. It appears to me he is now in full CYA mode. Gowdy completely ignores the fact that Mueller, in investigating Trump, had to have the evidence that Obama, Hillary, Comey and the rest committed crimes and said nothing about these criminals in his report.

Trey Gowdy Draws Distinction - McCabe
Ain't Talking About "Crossfile Hurricane"

This is one of those rare interviews where granular substance surfaces. On a particular issue Trey Gowdy is a valuable SME. Gowdy has seen all of the classified documentary evidence that surrounds the July 31, 2016, FBI counterintelligence operation against the Trump campaign to include Crossfire Hurricane FISA documents, and issues related to “spygate”. Gowdy was one of the few who reviewed all source documents.

In this interview Gowdy draws a distinction between 2016 CH (spygate) and what Andrew McCabe is discussing; highlighting how the investigative issues McCabe continues to talk about are the two additional FBI investigations, one counterintelligence and one criminal, McCabe started on May 10th, 2017. WATCH:

For sake of brevity there are essentially three investigations: ♦One counterintelligence investigation known as Crossfire Hurricane, began on July 31, 2016, into the Trump campaign and possible Russia involvement. ♦One counterintelligence investigation that McCabe started on May 10th, 2017, (Trump as the target w/Russia); and ♦one criminal investigation (Trump obstruction) that also began on May 10th, 2017.

Blog Author's Comments: Deputy Director Of the FBI Andrew McCabe was formally fired by AG Sessions for making an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lying under oath. He should be in jail instead of hopping to whatever network show will have him, telling more lies and promoting his book. They (the FBI, Democrats and Left) have continued to say that that President Trump is guilty of collusion with Russia and "obstruction” for firing Comey.

The President can fire anyone in that capacity he choses. The DAG Rosenstein also played a large part within the 'deep state' in an attempt to remove Trump from office. He hired Mueller as Special Council. Why are not McCabe and Rosenstein both under arrest? Obstruction for firing someone that most semi-sane people in America wanted to see happen? Comey is guilty of covering up the crimes of Hillary Clinton and her clan, if this was anyone else they would be behind bars.

We shall see if the new Attorney General Bill Barr will attempt to clean up some of the mess that has occurred during the past two plus years, or because of his long time friendship with Mueller let it slide. I will be very surprised if he does anything to bring the real colluders within the FBI and DOJ to justice. Robert Mueller's final report of his unconstitutional 'witch hunt' is rumored to be finalized within a week and will be worded to say that President Trump had collusion with Russia which helped him win the presidential election, but will we see the evidence? The only collusion with Russia in 2016 was Hillary Clinton and her campaign staff.

Bill Barr said during his confirmation hearings that he wants to be as transparent as possible “consistent with the rules and the law.” According to the special counsel rules, Robert Mueller has to submit a “confidential” report to the attorney general. The rules do not require the attorney general to share the report with Congress or even make it public, but rest assured, the Democrats will be fighting to get their hands on the report — even if it means using subpoena power.

Democrats fear that Mueller’s report will be anticlimactic and or won’t be made public so they are ramping up additional ‘Trump-Russia’ investigations to harass President Trump. House Intel Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) has announced a massive investigation into Trump’s personal life and finances.

Trey Gowdy Endorses Marco Rubio...

Truth Revolt -- House Republican Trey Gowdy, a conservative all-star, officially endorsed Florida Senator Marco Rubio for President Tuesday.

Joining Rubio on a two-day road trip through Iowa before the New Year, Gowdy enthusiastically supported the young Senator, exclaiming before a crowd of people that he has his vote:

"I'm in Iowa to give you a word of encouragement. It is not my job to tell you who to vote for. But I am going to tell you who I'm going to vote for ... I'm going to vote for Marco Rubio."

The deciding factor for Gowdy was Rubio's stance on two particular issues:

"National security and public safety are the most important issues to me. And there is nobody better on those two issues than Marco Rubio,"

Gowdy also touted Rubio's efforts to undermine Obamacare, calling him "the person who's doing the most" to combat the law:

"He's not going to brag about it, he's not flashy which is unusual for politics in this day and age, but Marco Rubio and his focus on risk corridors may wind up being the undoing of the so-called Affordable Care Act."

And he said that Rubio has the "ability to communicate our message of principled conservatism in a hopeful, aspirational, persuasive way."

"It's ok to be hopeful that the message of principled conservatism can win again," Gowdy continued. "I found that hope in a place that — if you'd told me 10 years ago I would find it, I wouldn't have believed you — in the son of a bartender, in the son of a housekeeper who know what it means to live the American dream."

"I trust Marco Rubio to lead a country safely that has the three most precious things in my life in it," said Gowdy, referring to his family.
Blog Author's Comments -- So Trey Gowdy campaigned for two days with Marco Rubio and has endorsed him for the Republican nominee for president. This tells me a lot about Gowdy, one of the few politicians I respected. Instead of elevating Rubio this tarnishes Gowdy.

Marco Rubio is a U.S. senator. And he just can’t stand it anymore. "I don’t know that 'hate' is the right word," Rubio said in an interview. "I’m frustrated." If he would be elected President would he get tired of that job too? So Rubio has decided not to run for reelection as a Senator, it’s the White House or bust.

"That’s why I’m missing votes. Because I am leaving the Senate," Rubio said in the last Republican debate, after Donald Trump had mocked him for his unusual number of absences during Senate votes.

In his third year as a Senator he joined a bipartisan "Gang of Eight" that negotiated a massive immigration-reform effort. He argued with talk-radio hosts, trying to sell conservatives on a plan that would give illegal immigrants a path toward citizenship.

That is the last thing the United States needs but apparently Rubio agrees with what Obama is doing - illegally. The open borders to illegals which Donald Trump is totally against, as is a majority of voters, is one of the main points which has catapulted him to the top as the favorite of all the Republicans vying for the nominee for the 2016 presidential election. I for one do not want Marco Rubio as the GOP nominee.

Trey Gowdy Fights Back Against Obama's
Amnesty With New Immigration Plan

Daily Caller -- South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy has introduced an immigration bill to defund President Obama’s executive amnesty and expedite the removal of criminal aliens from U.S. soil.

Named after Michael Davis, Jr., a sheriff’s deputy in California who was killed in the line of duty last year by an illegal immigrant, Gowdy’s bill would also provide a work-around for state and local governments to reinforce federal immigration laws while also implementing an annual review of the executive branch’s use of prosecutorial discretion in immigration cases.

“If we are serious about finding a long term solution to our immigration system, we must address interior enforcement,” Gowdy, the Republican chairman of the Immigration and Border Security Subcommittee, said in a statement announcing the measure.

“This bill, which is one part of the Committee’s step-by-step process to address our broken immigration system, will ensure we do not repeat the mistakes of the past and help us earn back the trust of the American public,” he added.

If enacted, the bill would completely dismantle what Gowdy describes as Obama’s “unilateral, constitutional actions on immigration” by cutting off any and all funds to the initiative. It would also strip Obama and all future presidents of any power to unilaterally shut down immigration enforcement by allowing state and local governments the authorization to enforce federal immigration laws.

Gowdy’s measure would also cut some grants to “sanctuary cities” — municipalities that prohibit law enforcement from inquiring about immigration status.

Entire column...
Blog author's comments - Trey Gowdy is one of the most qualified politicians of his generation. It is too bad that the GOP does not have more members like him. I refer in particular to the leaders of the Senate and House. I don't believe Mitch McConnell will do anything except get along with the Democrats prior to the 2016 election. So, what good did the big win in the midterms do for the GOP if the leadership of the Republican Party does not plan to work with Gowdy and a few others who are attempting to accomplish something that is good for the country?

Trey Gowdy’s bill will probably pass in the House, but Senate passage is highly unlikely. If by chance the bill passed both the House and Senate it would never get by Obama's veto. If the Republican Party should ever put a President in the White House again Gowdy should be appointed to a high office in the cabinet. He is a real change from the Republican RINO's who are currently in Congress.

Boehner Names Trey Gowdy To Lead Select Benghazi Panel

Washington D.C. -- House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) announced today that he has chosen Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC) to serve as chairman of the select committee to investigate the 2012 tragedy in Benghazi, Libya.

“With four of our countrymen killed at the hands of terrorists, the American people want answers, accountability, and justice. Trey Gowdy is as dogged, focused, and serious-minded as they come. His background as a federal prosecutor and his zeal for the truth make him the ideal person to lead this panel. I know he shares my commitment to get to the bottom of this tragedy and will not tolerate any stonewalling from the Obama administration. I plan to ensure he and his committee have the strongest authority possible to root out all the facts. This is a big job, but Rep. Gowdy has the confidence of this conference, and I know his professionalism and grit will earn him the respect of the American people.”

NOTE: Last week, in response to the release of emails showing the White House was more involved in misleading the American people than previously known and the revelation that the Obama administration had withheld these documents from a Congressional subpoena, Speaker Boehner announced that he was establishing a new select committee to investigate the events surrounding the attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.

New Benghazi Documents Reveal White House Hid Truth From Congress

Blog author's comments - Finally Boehner does the right thing by appointing Trey Gowdy to investigate the Obama/Clinton Benghazi cover-up. Hopefully Gowdy, who is a take no prisoners lawmaker, can cut through some of the lies and stone walling by the Obama administration. Obama really did not care about the four dead Americans; he was more concerned about the Benghazi attack prior to his own election. He put politics before the truth. Instead of protecting our diplomats, the Obama administration was more concerned about protecting the perception of not having a foreign policy failure.
