Sourpuss Democrats Self-Immolate At State Of The Union

Let's give them the award straight up: Worst Performance by a Minority Party at a State of the Union Address.

(Hey, it's awards season, right?)

They broke the record. They get the prize with no runner-up for years to come.

Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi watching Trump's speech looked like a pair of sullen six-year olds on a sugar crash the day after Halloween. Bernie Sanders looked mummified. Schumer was slumped so deeply in his chair he was almost falling through the crack.

Other Democrats, even ones who should have known better or secretly felt otherwise, sat on their hands. You could see them glancing at each other, wondering whether they were allowed to applaud or stand up. What a bunch of cowards.

It was a disgraceful display of bad manners, but even more it was incredibly stupid because "the whole world was watching." The camera was getting them all in close-up.

Who are these ungrateful corpses, middle America must have been asking. Good question. (Can you imagine how much money Pelosi has made in the stock market since Trump was elected? What does she have to be so upset about?)

More jobs? No applause. Higher wages? No applause. Lowest black unemployment in history? Crickets. ISIS disappearing? Zzzz...

What's wrong with these people? Don't they know nobody loves a sorehead? You think Colin Kaepernick could be elected president?

And why were they so depressed, you may ask? Easy. Here's what they knew and what we all know. Trump is here to stay -- for the next seven years. And they're going to have to live with it.

Oh, yes, Trump gave a terrific speech, especially in the dramatic utilization of the stories of extremely well-chosen audience members. That technique has been done a lot, but never better. Donald is our Entertainer-in-Chief. Sometimes he's funny. This time he tugged at the heart strings. The guy with the crutch was a veritable Korean Tiny Tim -- one of the most amazing figures I have ever seen, a living symbol of the fight again totalitarianism.[...]

At least the Democrats have some hope with the new Kennedy. He performed pretty well, all things considered, and was the only one to mention the R-word (Russia).

Too bad the memo is about to come out.

Blog Author's Comments: The Democrats are digging deep if they needed to bring in Ted Kennedy's grand nephew, 'drooling' Joe Kennedy, to give the Democrats rebuttal after President Trump hit the home run with his State of the Union Address. Perhaps Kennedy had taken something to calm himself down, which caused the drool to leak. The rest of the democrats all did a good job of pretending to almost nod off, like Hoyer and Pelosi. And Nancy Pelosi continued to suck her teeth for whatever reason. The Democrats made fools of themselves with their hateful inaction to many things said by the president which should have, even out of politeness, brought some applause. Here is the tooth sucker! And isn't there a Constitutional Amendment banning anyone named, or related to the Kennedys' from public office until 2063? Well, there should be. I follow politics somewhat closely and had never seen this person. I have watched too many Democrat responses to Republican speeches, SOTU and others. It's always the same response, meaning, "It ain't our idea, so we ain't buying it". Why waste my time? At least that is the way all the democrats looked that were in attendance last night.

Maybe it has finally sunk in with many of them, that if politics continues as it has during the past year, and the special counsel Mueller ever wraps up whatever he is doing, the democrats are going to have a difficult and perhaps impossible time, of winning back the House and may lose more people than they thought they would. If one ignores the lying leftist pundits and decide on your own, it was a very good night for the president, his Republican colleges and voters/supporters.

Democrats Say They Will Fill Balcony With 'Dreamers' For State Of The Union

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats will fill the balcony with so-called Dreamers and other immigrants during President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address next week as the party panned a White House attempt on Thursday to reach a deal on immigration reform.

The White House released a one-page framework for legislation that includes a path to citizenship for 1.8 million Dreamers — recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA — and other undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children. The proposal, the work of senior White House adviser Stephen Miller, was offered as a bipartisan compromise to give young undocumented immigrants a legal foothold in exchange for more than $25 billion in increased border security and a sharp reduction in future legal immigration.

While Miller described the plan as a dramatic concession for the White House, Democrats aren’t yet buying in and plan to make a statement at the State of the Union on Tuesday.

“While the president is busy mingling with the biggest beneficiaries of the GOP tax scam in Davos, Stephen Miller is once again running loose in the White House with his own hateful anti-immigrant agenda,” Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill said, referring to the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. “Now, Miller is trying to ransom the lives of innocent Dreamers for a $25 billion anti-immigrant wish list. The White House strategy of moving the goalposts every time the president isn’t paying attention continues to complicate this process.”

Blog Author's Comments: How many of my fellow middle to upper class conservative Americans have ever been invited to attend a SOTUA? Raise your hand - that is what I thought; the Democratic Party's dislike for us is once again on full display. This kind of unintelligent and foolish, in your face provocation, is telling, if the people would simply open their eyes.

The GOP is in the majority so how can the Democrats fill the balcony with 'Dreamers'? If this would actually happen, ICE should be waiting by the door checking their identification and with vans standing by to haul them away. Democrats pick 'Dreamers' over veterans. That should tell you all you need to know about the Democrats of today. The 'dreamers'/illegals, law breakers, are needed by the Democratic Party. They have to continue building their lower class constituents who are happy to be taken care of in payment for their votes. This is how the Democrats remain a somewhat viable, actual political party.

I cannot really believe that Trump is serious about trading a Wall for an agreement to allow some of the 'dreamers' to stay, but who knows, we shall see what transpires? His talk during the campaign concerning illegal immigrants was one of probably three points that won the election for him. And the Republican Party has to hold the House and Senate in 2018, and they will probably not, if they give much at all on the illegal aliens.

If they would lose control of the House, the funds for the wall will never be seen. All that would happen is the Democratic Party would gradually take back power and turn America into a country where many of us would not want to live. Nancy Pelosi, how about standing with Americans, not criminals. She is representing the people in her district in California, that have helped to make her and the family very wealthy.

Obama to Push For New Spending in State of Union Address
In November 2008 after the election Obama promised that he would cut wasteful spending. Instead, Obama tripled the national deficit in one year.

When Speaker Pelosi took over Congress the national deficit was $162 billion. When she left this month as Speaker it was $1.29 trillion dollars.


Obama to Push New Spending
Wall Street Journal - President Barack Obama will call for new government spending on infrastructure, education and research in his State of the Union address Tuesday, sharpening his response to Republicans in Congress who are demanding deep budget cuts, people familiar with the speech said.

Mr. Obama will argue that the U.S., even while trying to reduce its budget deficit, must make targeted investments to foster job growth and boost U.S. competitiveness in the world economy.

The new spending could include initiatives aimed at building the renewable-energy sector—which received billions of dollars in stimulus funding—and rebuilding roads to improve transportation, people familiar with the matter said. Money to restructure the No Child Left Behind law's testing mandates and institute more competitive grants also could be included.

While proposing new spending, Mr. Obama also will lay out significant budget cuts elsewhere, people familiar with the plans say, though they will likely fall short of what Republican lawmakers have requested. - Entire column > >

Blog author's comments - Obama will supposedly say that his focus this next year will be on creating jobs but also on spending more money.

I cannot watch and listen to Obama give his SOTU address, more useless rhetoric and no substance. We already know that nothing good can be accomplished with his plan for the country.

Are the Dems and the GOP going to sit together? Obama needs all the blending he can get while trying to sooth the anger which will hopefully be coming from the Republican Party.

Obama was always going to focus on jobs. Now it's back to Green Energy or Green Jobs for those who still believe him. What it actually means is that he will attempt to spend plenty of green cash for nothing. Isn't spending the only solution to every problem that Obama faces?

What would make the evening more interesting is if a certain group of five Supreme Court Justices would stand up and walk out. Do this while saying sorry but we won't be able to stay for the entire SOTU address. This is what should have occurred last year after they were chastised by Obama.
