Gingrich - Obama Will Laugh At Romney

Newt Gingrich: Obama will 'laugh' at Mitt Romney

Politico - Newt Gingrich said Friday that if Mitt Romney becomes the Republican presidential nominee, President Barack Obama will simply “laugh at him.”

“As people look at his record and they imagine him debating Obama, Obama’s going to laugh at him,” Gingrich said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “Obama’s going to say, ‘I developed Obamacare based on Romneycare. I even brought your staff into the White House in order to develop it.’”

The former House speaker rejected the suggestion that his presence in the race is dividing up the anti-Romney votes and thereby giving the former Massachusetts governor a better chance of securing the GOP nomination.

“We’ll gradually coalesce. One of us will emerge as the conservative alternative,” he predicted. “That conservative alternative will beat Romney.”

And just days ahead of the New Hampshire primary, Gingrich said that a bad performance in the Granite State would be fatal for Romney, while downplaying his rival’s victory in Iowa last week.

“This is one of his three best states, along with Utah and Massachusetts. If he doesn’t win here, he couldn’t stay in the race,” he said. “In his so-called win in Iowa, having campaigned for five years and spent, I think, $20 million, he got 25 percent. That’s one out of four. Three out of four said no after five years of campaigning.”

Blog author's comments - During the debates it was Newt Gingrich who directed his attacks only toward Obama and his failures. Continually, he’d state how each person on the stage would be a huge improvement over who is presently in the White House.

Many of us sat up and took notice and his numbers soared. But on that stage were others who were displeased…who would soon paint him, their fellow Republican, as the enemy.

The attack ads began, particularly from Mitt Romney against Gingrich prior to the Iowa caucus. I cannot now blame Newt Gingrich for going on the offense against Romney.

From the polling I have seen Mitt Romney appears to be the candidate who will win the nomination. I do not feel confident that he can defeat Obama.

Obama - Wants To Run Against a GOP Moderate

Rush Limbaugh on the Greta Van Susteren show -- Barack Obama does not want to run against Sarah Palin.

He added that Governor Chris Christie, former Senator Santorum, and Governor Rick Perry also scare the White House. The Dems are hoping that a moderate or liberal Republican wins the primary.

Blog author's comments - The left and of course their mainstream media will do everything in their power to get the worst possible, most moderate Republican nominated, and ignore, marginalize, and/or attack the most conservative candidates. They attempt to do it every election.

What does Obama have to run on? He can't run on his record, what he has accomplished since he has been in office. Do the people want more of the same which is high unemployment, Obamacare, high gas prices, rising food prices and a housing market which is in the tank?

We need a few conservatives to enter the race for the nomination. We also need a conservative to win the election. It's time to stop what is now happening and put the country on track towards recovery.
