Trump Beats Own Campaign Prediction, Reaching 1,536 Delegates

Breitbart -- Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump sailed past his own campaign’s prediction on the final delegate count, and now heads into next month’s Republican National Convention.

After the final five state Republican primaries on Tuesday night, Trump stands at 1,536 delegates

In April, Trump’s campaign predicted it would reach 1,400 delegates ahead of the convention to meet the threshold delegate requirement of 1,237 in order to clinch the nomination on the first ballot. Trump broke the Republican primary record by 1.4 million votes, according to the conservative blog site, The Gateway Pundit.

Breitbart News earlier reported that following the New York primary in April, Trump already had two million more votes than GOP nominee Mitt Romney did in 2012.
Blog Author's Comments -- It's probably safe to say that the Democrats, some Republicans and the liberal media will be reaching new lows in trying to steal this election from Trump. But, he did it with his own party actively working against him. That is not supposed to happen. He and his campaign staff will obviously be watching what all of those who want to somehow stop him from becoming the official Republican nominee at the GOP convention do.

What I find interesting is the last time world leaders were concerned about a candidate for president was when Reagan ran. They called him a cowboy and said he would be too fast on the trigger when it came to foreign policy. In fact, his no nonsense attitude and willingness to speak the truth allowed us to finally bring an end to the cold war. One of the biggest problems we have had since 2009 is no one wants to call our enemies our enemies or a terrorist a terrorist. Trump will do this and that is one of the issues that scares the rest of the world and the so-called GOP leaders, because they think appeasement will gain us more.

Hannity Erupts On Cruz Over Delegates: 'You've Got To Stop!'

WMD -- Sean Hannity, host at Fox News, waxed angry at Sen. Ted Cruz in a recent televised interview, slapping back the presidential contender’s perceived dodge of questions with an angry demand to just “stop” and face the audience concerns.

First, Cruz hit front-runner Donald Trump for “whining” about the delegate process, the Hill reported. Cruz then denied American voters were even concerned about his campaign’s attempt to sway delegates into supporting him on a second ballot at the upcoming Republican National Convention.

Cruz said, the Hill noted: “The media loves to obsess about process. This process and this whining from the Trump campaign is all silly.”

Hannity, however, saw it differently.

“Senator,” he said, “I’m on social media with millions of people. I have 550 radio stations and I have the top-rated cable show at my hour all across the board, and I am telling you that people are telling me that they find this whole process confusing.”

Hannity then brought up Cruz’s attempt to win delegates in Georgia who had been standing on the side of Trump, and said such persuasive tries can be seen as compromising the “integrity of the election,” he said.

Cruz denied that characterization and said the only ones “asking this question are the hardcore Donald Trump supporters,” he said.

Hannity cut in, saying: “Senator, why do you do this? You’ve got to stop. Every time I have you on the air and I ask a legitimate question, you try to throw this in my face. I’m getting sick of it. I’ve had you on more than any other candidate on radio and TV. So if I ask you, senator, a legitimate question to explain to the audience, why don’t you just answer it?”

Cruz again tossed off the question as rooted in the “whining” from the Trump campaign “because they don’t like the fact that they’ve lost five elections in a row,” he said, the Hill reported.

“The Donald Trump campaign doesn’t know what they’re doing,” Cruz said. “They don’t show up. In Colorado, the Donald Trump team was handing out fliers, asking their supporters to vote for a slate of delegates [and] they included Cruz delegates on their slate.”

He also brought up how the Trump campaign sent an email to supporters in Washington, D.C., in the lead up to the Washington state primary, an obvious mix-up of localities.

“I cannot help that the Donald Trump campaign does not seem capable of running a lemonade stand,” Cruz said, the Hill reported. “My focus is on jobs, freedom and security, not this incessant whining from the other side. If you lose, don’t cry about it. Go back and learn how to win an election.”

Ted Cruz On The Sean Hannity Show April 19, 2016 - Entire Audio

Blog Author's Comments -- This is a different type of election and many people are upset at what is happening to our country. Both Democrat and Republican administrations have helped move the country to this point. What really has the sane thinking people up in arms, is the seven years of Barack Hussein Obama and his 'transformation’ of America.

Cruz is a man who really believes the end justifies the means. If he can play the system to exploit it then he will do that. And he is doing this with delegates.

...Hannity then brought up Cruz’s attempt to win delegates in Georgia who had been standing on the side of Trump, and said such persuasive tries can be seen as compromising the “integrity of the election,” he said.

Cruz denied that characterization and said the only ones “asking this question are the hardcore Donald Trump supporters,” he said.

Donald Trump is an extremely successful business man but during the interview Cruz said “I cannot help that the Donald Trump campaign does not seem capable of running a lemonade stand.” The interview was over and Senator Ted Cruz still refused to answer the question put forth by Hannity.

At one time I had hoped that Ted Cruz would run for the Presidency in 2016. But, Donald Trump entered the race and began to say the things many people have wanted to hear for years from a candidate, and he has led in the polls from the beginning and I have sided with him. It is time for a change from electing career politicians and Ted Cruz has shown a different side of himself which I don't care for.

I am optimistic that Trump will be the Republican Party's nominee, but if by chance Cruz is the nominee I will vote for him over Hillary Clinton. Our country can not deal with Clinton after what has happened and is still happening with Obama. This could be the last chance for the Republican Party to elect a president but to do so the 'Republican Establishment' has got to stop playing games. America is desperate for someone who can begin to turn the country around.
