NFL Owners Cave - Renew Five Year Contract For
Commissioner Roger Goodell, Including Private Plane

ESPN -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has made over $212 million in salary since 2006.

Goodell is the highest paid person in the NFL.

And he’s destroying the league.

Goodell makes more than Tom Brady, Eli Manning or any other player in the league.

And viewership for the NFL is down again this year following the continued National Anthem race protests.

On Wednesday the NFL renewed Roger Goodell’s contract for five years.

And the contract reportedly includes the private plane for life.

Blog Author's Comments: Amazingly, I once thought NFL owners were somewhat intelligent business people. It will be really curious to see how many season ticket holders renew for next year. Many corporations purchase quite a few of the season tickets now days. They give the tickets away as incentives to clients and employees. Somehow, I don’t see that as much of an enticement these days. It would seem that the owners are happy enough to pay Goodell millions to ruin their business in the name of "justice."

And Goodell and the NFL owners, and players, will say we are racist for "not wanting to watch black athletes". All of them realizing their faults will be the last thing they think of, if ever. If we gaze ahead 5 years, the length of his new contract, what is the NFL going to look like? Is all this anti-American, anti-military and anti-police blatant demonstration just going to blow over? Are the ratings a blip on the radar? I personally don't think so. I believe the actions of NFL players, owners and Goodell have done permanent damage to the NFL brand.

When it becomes widely known that the NFL is taking money from supporting other organizations and causes and re-directing the money into social justice causes, there is going to be more erosion of the base customers who have made the NFL what it is now. The NFL is not on an upward trajectory. So, why give the commissioner a raise in pay from his reportedly $30 million a year to $50 million, lifetime health care and lifetime use with, no restrictions, of a private plane? Someone should ask the owners. I had at one time thought Goodell would be lucky to retain his job at the end of his previous contract.

The NFL Can Thank The Commissioner And His
Shrewd Business Acumen For What Has Happened.

NBC Announcer Al Michaels Blames Trump For Plunging NFL Ratings

Philadelphia Inquirer -- High profile sports broadcaster Al Michaels is blaming the steep decline in NFL ratings on President Donald Trump, yet another sign that the league and its mouthpieces have become politicized to the point where patriotic Americans are tuning out.

Michaels heads up the Sunday night broadcast team, a longtime veteran who partnered with John Madden for years when Monday Night Football was still the league’s flagship product. The ratings [...] have been down since the league embraced the racial grievance protests and national anthem protests with this week’s MNF broadcast cratering to post the fourth lowest ratings since 2006.

Pay no mind to the fact that the NFL has been losing viewers ever since it botched the handling of the Colin Kaepernick kneeling thanks to neither liberal San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York or Commissioner Roger Goodell hitting the militant with a suspension that would have nipped everything in the bud instead of allowed it to fester and then erupt this year.

Nope, it’s all Trump’s fault and now even Michaels is onboard with the league’s propaganda.

In an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Michaels blasts Trump for “throwing a match into a gas tank” when he condemned the kneelers during a rally in Alabama back in September. Goodell quickly attacked Trump and put his seal of approval on hundreds of black players who protested on only the third weekend of the season.

The NFL has been unable to put out the dumpster fire ever since.
Michaels cited players’ protests against racial injustice during the national anthem as one of a myriad reasons ratings might be down. His comments echo remarks made by NBCUniversal advertising executive Linda Yaccarino, who noted earlier this month that she thinks the protests have affected the ratings. Yaccarino also said “a list of advertisers” have made it clear they’ll pull out of Sunday Night Football if the broadcast continues to cover protests.

Michaels said it felt like tension over the protests was starting cooling down, until President Trump weighed in during a September rally in Huntsville, Ala., where he called on NFL owners to fire players who decided to protest while the national anthem was being played. “Once the president made those remarks in Alabama, at that particular point it was like throwing a match into a gas tank,” Michaels said. “During the off-season, both sides just have to sit down and figure out a way to make this a situation where it doesn’t overwhelm the conversation about the NFL.”
The conservative Michaels used to have something of a spine but after being forced to apologize for a Harvey Weinstein joke several weeks ago, he is now like a housebroken pet.

The denial that the players themselves as well as the league that has embraced their worship of a backup quarterback who hates cops, loves Fidel Castro and has nothing but contempt for the same country that allowed him to make millions of dollars for playing a game are responsible for the ratings drop continues.

Like with the media and the rest of the left, the NFL has found Trump to be a convenient scapegoat for the problems that they themselves have created.
Blog Author's Comments: "Michaels cited players’ protests against racial injustice during the national anthem as one of a myriad reasons ratings might be down." Ratings are down because the fans are observing the NFL stench and many do not care for it. Al Michaels is now a willing tool helping to tow the BLM racial injustice lie, to make sure that he retains his job. He will follow along with whatever his network and the NFL commissioner wants him to say. I had always thought Michaels was a conservative who thought for himself. He really must know when the - few in the NFL circles - are stomping on the golden goose.

From what I have read, in an earlier broadcast, he said a sarcastic "whatever" when referring to BLM and their kneelers, but now he is caving. A large number of the league's players are showing their disrespect for the police officers, our anthem, the flag, and the veterans who fought and the - huge number that have died - so these ungrateful players could play their game and almost all are millionaires.

President Trump had nothing to do with this mess. The problem is the ungrateful players, who claim to be slaves, and the Commissioner Roger Goodell and so many of the owners who fear they will be referred to as racists, if they actually take action against the players. Michaels shouldn't give Trump any of the credit, the former fans made their own decisions.

Kaepernick's Mommy Rushes To
Defend Her Baby From Mean Man Trump

Down Trend -- Like a cyst that has filled up to a dangerous level, the sac has ruptured and the accumulated poisoned pus of months of rage from the left – particularly black millionaire athletes – has spewed out all across the media today.

The national anthem protests that have been taking place since last summer on NFL sidelines and the ongoing frustration that all of the leftist pressure brought to bear hasn’t resulted in Colin Kaepernick – the narcissistic militant who started all of the trouble – finding a job finally erupted on Saturday.

President Donald Trump finally weighed in on the divisive controversy that has been devouring the NFL alive like a malignant form of cancer and as could be expected, his input wasn’t in favor of the wealthy ingrates who revel in wiping their asses with the flag and spitting on police and the troops.

Trump’s magnificent open field tackle on the miscreant sons of bitches who deserve to be fired form their antics on the sidelines has brought forth torrents of condemnation. Even NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell came out and shot himself in the foot by ripping the ‘divisive’ comments but he is a man who bears a large share of responsibility for a situation that he himself allowed to fester instead of acting forcefully when it began.

The mean man’s criticism of her son’s disciples even brought out Kaepernick’s mommy who rushed onto the playground to hide her poor, abused child behind her skirts to save him from the playground bully.
The mother of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is standing by her son after President Trump blasted NFL players who take a knee during the national anthem.

At a fiery campaign rally in Huntsville, Ala., on Friday, Trump took aim at professional athletes who kneel in protest when the national anthem is sung at sporting events, saying that players that do so should be fired and urging fans to leave the games.

"Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b—- off the field right now,'” Trump said.

The comment was an implicit swipe at Kaepernick, the current NFL free agent who gained notoriety last year for taking a knee during the national anthem to protest police misconduct and social injustice.

Kaepernick’s mother, Teresa Kaepernick, fired back after Trump’s remarks.

“Guess that makes me a proud b—-!” she wrote on Twitter Friday.
She definitely has half of that right.

This doesn’t reflect well on the “race messiah” himself who is having women do his fighting for him. It was his radical piece of tail girlfriend who launched the racist tweet that likely snuffed out the man with the Funkadelic ‘fro’s final real shot at a job with the Baltimore Ravens. Comparing the team’s owner to a racist plantation owner wasn’t exactly the way to close a deal.

Now it’s mommy time.

Kaepernick is just a eunuch with a big mouth and a pack of losers who have glommed onto him as if he were Mohandas freaking Gandhi instead of a guy who is a borderline backup quarterback not worth the trouble that he would cause to any team that would sign him. Just ask the 49ers and Ravens.
Blog Author's Comments: I suppose Kaepernick and all the rest of the ungrateful children who are now following his lead, are pleased with themselves. Have any of them ever thanked a veteran, or even thought of the men and women about their age, some younger and older, now in combat in places around the world? They are risking their lives for their country so these ungrateful slugs can play their games and make millions, while people in the military are putting their lives on the line for peanuts.

It really is too bad that Kaepernick’s mother didn't have the intelligence or wherewithal to instill some pride, respect, and maturity in her boy. He really thinks he has accomplished something great, and all he has done is look like the fool he is, as have all the rest who have now sided with him. Kaepernick is a racist one time athlete. He now needs his mommy when thing get complicated, especially when he doesn't have a coach.

NFL Commissioner: 'If One Person Is Offended, We Have To Listen'

Breitbart -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell softened his stance on the Redskins name on Wednesday when he said that the NFL had to listen to concerns about the team's nickname even if only one person is concerned about it.

In an interview on 106.7 The Fan in Washington, Goodell, who grew up in the region as a Baltimore Colts and then Redskins fan, said, "I think what we have to do though is we have to listen."

“If one person is offended, we have to listen," he said.

Goodell's remarks come after Sports Illustrated's Peter King's website decided to refer to the team as the Washington football team. Earlier in the year, in response to 10 members of Congress who wrote him demanding action, Goodell defended the name. Redskins owner Dan Snyder has said he will "NEVER" change the team name and does not intend to sell the franchise.

"Ultimately it is Dan’s decision,” Goodell said of a possible name change. “But it’s something that I want all of us to go out and make sure we’re listening to our fans, listening to people of a different view, and making sure that we continue to do what’s right to make sure that team represents the strong tradition and history that it has for so many years."

ProFootballTalk believes Goodell's softer stance on the issue leaves "the door open for action if/when the opposition to the name reaches national critical mass. He senses that the day is coming; the only question is whether it happens before or after he retires from the job he already has held for seven years."
Blog author's comments - The Commissioner Goodell certainly has changed the game in less than five years, I believe for the worse. In this case he should leave the Redskins owner, name and logo alone. Goodell must be a liberal...at least this is how he seems to function in his position as the head of the NFL. “If one person is offended, we have to listen," No we don't!

The Redskins name has existed since 1932 and all of a sudden, it's offensive? Why does the government have to get involved? Don't the 10 members of Congress who wrote the letter to him have anything better to do to earn their salaries and occupy their time? Does Goodell know of one single Native American who is offended? If we removed everything that offends anyone, there would be nothing left. Liberals offend me because I would have to guess this is who is pushing for the name change.
