House Democrats Block Bill That Would Force DHS to Finish Construction of Border Wall ...

House Democrats overwhelmingly voted to block consideration for H.R. 2729, also known as the Finish the Wall Act, on Tuesday. The bill, introduced by Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA), would have required the Department of Homeland Security to resume construction of border wall projects halted by the Biden administration and would prohibit the administration from canceling wall contracts entered into before.

"This bill requires the secretary of Homeland Security to resume construction of the border wall within 24 hours of enactment using funds Congress has already appropriated to building the wall. The wall is more than just a fence," Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) said in support of the bill. "It includes sensors and technology Border Patrol needs to effectively hold the line. The agents I spoke to at the border are doing everything they can to stop illegal crossings, but they are overwhelmed and under-equipped. Now drug smugglers, human traffickers, gangs, and terrorists are taking full advantage of this vulnerability."

"We must protect our country, we must protect our people, we must finish the wall. This legislation would compel the White House and the Department of Homeland Security to do their jobs. The funding is there, the plans are there, the materials are there. All we lack is leadership from the Oval Office," said Rep. Yvette Herrell (R-NM).

Ordering a halt on the construction of the new border wall system, started by former President Donald Trump, was one of the first acts done by Joe Biden when he was placed in the White House. While some sectors along the U.S.-Mexico border had much of the construction done before the order, such as the El Paso Sector, others like the Rio Grande Valley Sector and Yuma Sector were not so lucky. As a result of the gaps, it has made it much easier for people (with assistance of the Democrat Party) to illegally cross the southern border in large numbers, overwhelming Border Patrol.

The Democratic Party had been planning their attack on democracy and America for quite some time. With the run-up to the 2020 election they recruited Joe Biden to be their puppet with Barack Obama guiding him along with many of his former administration. His job was to sign executive orders, do what Obama asked of him and commence the tearing down of the country. Their first goal was to defeat President Trump, install Biden in the White House and along with the rest of the Democrat Party and media they are well on their way toward the remaking of America so many of us will soon not know it.

At Tuesday's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) questioned Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas about border security and walls. Watching him deflect and evade questions one must wonder if he locks his doors and is in a gated community.

The fact that he disagrees with everything the senator says means he is a liar and should be arrested for his crimes against the US. We have a few senators that care about our America, she is one of them. This guy is the epitome of why most Americans do not trust their current federal government. A fool in a position of power is the most destructive kind of fool.

“Did you see on part of the new wall, two days ago?” asked President Trump to the crowd. “Illegal aliens with drugs on their back were climbing the wall. They got to the top. You know, that panel on top is called a climb resistor.”

Trump went on to describe the climb resistor. “It’s very slippery and very hot. Very hot. And they get stuck on the wall. They couldn’t get off the wall.”

Blog Author's Comments: No matter how much the leftist media and politicians dislike border walls, they work. They hate everything that makes sense, mainly because of who they are and that President Trump was, and is the person who finally addressed and implemented this issue.

Because they work, is why most of the leftist elites have walls around their compounds. Former ICE Chief Tom Homan Rips Nancy Pelosi For Doubting Border Wall Works

Former acting ICE Director Tom Homan on Wednesday blasted House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi for calling a border wall ineffective and accusing President Trump of “fear mongering” with the illegal immigration issue.

“Every place a wall or barrier has been built, it has resulted in decreased illegal immigration, decreased drug smuggling. One hundred percent of the time, it has proven effective,” Mr. Homan said on Fox News, where he is a contributor.

“Look at the rest of the data on the border, where arrests of MS-13 [gang] this year are up 118 percent, the seizures of guns — for God’s sake — are up almost 200 percent. There’s your data. Look at it. You can see why we need a wall,” he said.

Mr. Homan, a veteran of the Border Patrol agent and investigator for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said Mr. Trump was “doing the right thing” in shutting down the government in a fight with Democrats over funding a wall or barrier on the border with Mexico.

The partial shutdown began Saturday, affecting about 25 percent of the federal government, including the Department of Homeland Security.

Mrs. Pelosi told USA Today that Mr. Trump was using the wall to “fear monger.”

“He talked about terrorists coming in over that particular border, which wasn’t so. He talked about people bringing in diseases and all the rest of that, which wasn’t so,” said Mrs. Pelosi, who is poised to become speaker when Democrats take control of the House next week. “He’s using scare tactics that are not evidence-based, and it’s wrong.”

Mr. Homan said Mrs. Pelosi is “100 percent wrong.”

“Allow me to educate Mrs. Pelosi,” he said. “As far as crime coming across the border, ICE arrested 138,000 criminals last year. These are people who entered the country illegally and committed crimes against the people of this country.”

Not one so-called ‘journalist’ within the ranks of televised networks has ever asked her, why she is more concerned with the illegal invaders than the citizens of her own country? I say it is now time to build the wall and help protect our own citizens.

Donald Trump: 'I Am Considering A Veto Of The Omnibus Spending Bill'

President Donald Trump announced on Twitter on Friday that he was considering a veto of the omnibus spending bill. “I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Friday morning.

Trump’s statement counters his White House budget director Mick Mulvaney, who told reporters yesterday that the president would sign the bill, even though it was not perfect.

“Let’s cut right to the chase: Is the President going to sign the bill? The answer is yes,” Mulvaney said on Thursday.

But the president appears to have second thoughts after the bloated $1.3 trillion spending package passed the Senate in the middle of the night. Many members of Congress already leaving Washington, DC for their break or on foreign travel.

Trump has repeatedly questioned the bill’s failure to fund the wall, frustrated that Democrats refused to budge on his funding priority.

On Wednesday, House Speaker Paul Ryan traveled to the White House with Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to discuss the bill, and felt comfortable that they had the president’s support.

“The President supports this bill. There’s no two ways about it,” Ryan said on Thursday.

Blog Author's Comments: I hope President Trump hears his base and knows this bill would be the end of his presidency and any hope to Make America Great Again. This is an alignment between the Republicans and Democrats to stop Trump's ability to give the people the agenda he campaigned and won on. This bill does not give him or his voters what they want, but delivers so much to the Democrats without them having to do anything. It is over 22 hundred pages and you can bet that no one has read and understands it, yet both the Republican House and Senate have passed it.

The Democrats and Republicans would rather have an uninterrupted stream of illegals and facilitate arms and drug trafficking over an unsecured border than give the DACA people somewhat of a solution. On top of that, we shouldn't need to negotiate, exchange anything, to secure our borders. The physical and economic security of our citizens should be the unquestionable priority of every one of our representatives, yet it apparently is not.

Threatening to veto the bill and actually doing it are entirely two very different things. Trump has to veto it, this bill is meant to tear President Trump from his base and torpedo his presidency. The Democrats know exactly what they are doing and the Rhino's don't care. We have not moved, it is back to government politics as usual if the bill is signed.

An Update To This Post. President Trump has said he will sign the bill which I believe will effectively will make him a one term, lame duck president and the Democrats will again regain some power. This should never have happened and we have the Republican Party to blame. The voters will remember this at the mid-term elections and some of them will not even bother to vote. Build The Wall: Prominent Trump Voters Call For Construction And Funding ASAP

InfoWars -- Democrats and RINOs in Congress have managed to temporarily delay plans for President Trump’s border wall by blocking its initial funding, and while the mainstream media gloats, prominent Trump voters say construction must proceed.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach stressed the importance of beginning construction immediately to both signal to illegal aliens that strict immigration laws will continue to be implemented, and because of the sheer immensity of the project.

Indicating that he is not happy with the prospect of postponing the venture until the fall, Kobach told Fox and Friends, “Just by starting a project like this, you send a huge message.”

People are pointing to the fact that border apprehensions are down 61% – that’s because a message was sent by the Trump administration that, ‘Hey, we’re going to get tough on illegal immigration.'”

“We only have adequate barriers on less than 400 miles of the border – the border is 1,989 miles long, so you’re not talking about something that we can do in less than a year.”

Kobach went on to note that The Wall was one of Trump’s most important campaign promises to his supporters, and that Democrat actions to thwart the will of the people could backfire.

“I think the Democrats are making a politically unwise calculation,” he said. “They’re in sort of a ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ mode – they want to get a scalp off the Trump administration, they want some victory.”

“They’re not realizing their voters back home are watching them on this, and they’re not going to agree with them.”

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has introduced the ‘El Chapo Act,’ which proposes that funding for The Wall be drawn from the estimated $14 billion fortune that could be seized from Mexican drug kingpin, Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman, by the U.S. government if Guzman is convicted.


These drug cartels are the ones that are crossing the border, they’re smuggling narcotics, they’re engaged in human trafficking, they’re engaged in murder and extortion,” Cruz said. “There is a sense of justice… to say that the people who are violating the border like crazy – we should use their ill-gotten gains to finally build the wall.”

Cruz assessed that Senate Democrats are being led by Chuck Schumer’s “left-wing radical base” to oppose any actions or measures taken by the Trump administration without basis or reasoning – even if it means a dreaded ‘government shutdown.’

“I think Chuck Schumer and the Democrats want a shutdown – I think they’re trying to provoke a fight.”

Paul Nehlen, an Ohio businessman and former challenger to Paul Ryan for his congressional seat, has accused Ryan of sabotaging President Trump’s efforts to strengthen border security.

“You cannot effectively deport an illegal alien without a means to keep them out of this country,” Nehlen wrote on social media. “Take a moment and hear the names and brief stories of some Americans murdered at the hands of illegals, many of whom were previously deported. Paul Ryan is undermining President Trump and American safety and security.”

President Trump has assured his supporters that his position on building The Wall has not changed, and to not believe discouraging reports from the fake media to the contrary.

“Don’t let the fake media tell you that I have changed my position on the WALL,” he said. “It will get built and help stop drugs, human trafficking etc.”

Blog Author's Comments: I do not believe President Trump has 'rolled over' on the wall; this was probably his most prominent campaign issue which had many previously non-voters and election 'fence sitters' take notice. The 'Wall' has got to be built, and I believe that it will be. But, this is not a project that can be accomplished within a year or less, but I do think that a GOP plan for the funding of this project should be one of the many priorities that is dealt with by both the House and Senate. The wall will stop many illegals from wandering into our country at will, and will make a powerful statement that the United States and the Trump administration are serious about border security.

As I have said, this was probably Trump's most important promise to the American citizens and voters. And many of the people who supposedly voted for Trump already have their panties in a twist because this project has not yet been funded or started. President Trump has been in office less than 100 days. Just remember how many, and who Trump had to fight to win the Presidency. The 'never trump" wing of the GOP, the Democrats, the liberal mainstream media which is probably over 90% of all the media.

These are the same people trying to stop him from being successful with what he campaigned on and our country needs. He requires the help of the people in the party, and right now with everything that has to be done, it is an uphill battle for sure. Trump cannot accomplish everything that has to be done on his own and he has said in a recent interview that he is 'disappointed' with many Congressional Republicans. For the Trump doubters, think a little bit and have some patience. This is no time to panic, I will tell you when it is time to panic. There is little doubt in my mind, and I am not a patient person, that much of what he campaigned on will eventually come to fruition.
