Police in a Police State...

In a viral video, a 78-year-old great-grandfather was arrested and handcuffed by Ottawa police on Monday after he gave the trucker a thumbs up and a honk.

Gerry Charlebois was arrested for honking his horn in support of a protesting trucker. The policeman named ‘Jones’ argued that honking a horn “is an offense.”

In a free country, police are generally heroes. In a police state, not so much. Here’s how the police spend their time in Justin Trudeau’s regime of hysterical Covid tyranny:

When the police stop being part of the local community and become part of the State we are all in trouble. The newly weaponized Capitol Police force of D. C. is a case in point. Seems as though the cops lost control of that situation rather quickly and the big cop was literally twice the size of the guy he tossed around. When you lay eyes on a harmless old man, who moments before had done nothing more than honk his car's horn, being accosted and arrested, there is something not quite right happening in Canada.

He was not charged criminally but given a $118 by law ticket for “unnecessary noise.” But he did receive a physical takedown he won’t soon forget. Charlebois, who is double vaccinated and planning to get his booster shot, said he was “confused” during the incident at the corner of Besserer and Friel Sts., about four blocks from the main protest. “I was in shock,” said Charlebois. “When (the police) pulled me over, he told me I was in trouble for honking the horn.”

🙶 We believe it’s a combination … of the George Floyd protests — riots, if you will; a general feeling of a preference for less law enforcement; and less prosecution and less policing,” Jason Johnson, president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund and a 20-year police veteran, told Fox News.

🙶 Law enforcement officers have essentially been marginalized and demoralized and cast aside and encouraged not to enforce the law. And so we’ve seen massive jumps in the homicide rate in cities across America,” he said.

This is exactly why the President of the New York City Police Benevolent Association, Patrick Lynch, delivered remarks on the final night of the Republican National Convention.

He knew that only President Trump would stand up for and protect the police.

This is one reason why Americans voted for President Trump in record-setting numbers. And this is one reason why tens of millions of Americans are demanding the return of President Trump.

Obama Defends #blacklivesmatter Movement To Police

Truth Revolt -- While speaking to law enforcement officials on Thursday, President Obama defended the Black Lives Matter movement, saying it is addressing an issue that has been ignored for too long.

"There is a specific problem that is happening in the African-American community that is not happening in other communities, and that is a legitimate issue that we've got to address."

"The African-American community is not just making this up. It's not something that's just being politicized. It's real," Obama said. "We as a society, particularly given our history. have to take this seriously."

The President tried to balance the conflicts between the police and the Black Lives Matter movement.

"I think everybody understands all lives matter. Everybody wants strong, effective law enforcement. Everybody wants their kids to be safe when they're walking to school. Nobody wants to see police officers who are doing their job, fairly, hurt. Everybody understands it's a dangerous job," he said

Obama spoke on a White House panel by moderated by former New York Times editor Bill Keller. Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck and U.S. Attorney John Walsh of Colorado also appeared on the panel with the President.

The problem is not just with the police, said Obama. "We can't put the entire onus of the problem on law enforcement," he said. "I think there's been a healthy debate about police-community relations, and some of the episodes we've seen across the country. But we as a society, if we're not investing in opportunities for poorer kids, and then we expect police and prosecutors to keep them out of sight and out of mind, that's a failed strategy."

Blog Author's Comments -- 'Black Lives Matter' members shot police in Ferguson and New York, chanted death threats against police. They have advocated looting as a policy and have been behind protests which have done millions of dollars in damage in multiple cities. This is what Obama is defending. And he will not show strong support for the police who have to face this every day. He does not want to upset his people.

When 13% of the population is responsible for approximately 70% of the violent crime taking place in America, it's definitely a problem. So what does Obama do about it? He makes it worse by his defense of the black thugs. I cannot see that the percentage of black shootings, killings and crime will ever be reversed.

Blog author's comments - In both cases the grand juries ruled in favor of the police. Also, Brown and Garner committed unlawful acts and when the police tried to arrest them they fought with the officers. When the police are trying to arrest you, if you fight back, things can go wrong. And they went very wrong for Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Now we have President Barack Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, and most Democrat lawmakers along with the liberals, blacks and leftist media railing against what they are calling the racist police who were attempting to do their jobs.
