Democrat Minority leader of the Senate, Sen. Chuck Schumer: "Our Republican colleagues in the Senate should follow the rule they set in 2016: Not to consider a Supreme Court justice in an election year."
Mr. Schumer, that pertained to a Presidential election year, since the idea was, you should give the incoming president the option to pick rather than the outgoing. Otherwise there’s no point to the argument you’re now making.
Republican Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell has to push Trump's nominee for a vote and also use the 'Nuclear Option" to avoid a filibuster. Vote on the new Justice and make history for President Trump and yourself. Finally, the Supreme Court could be leaning 6-3 to the right for decades.
Many if not all Liberals are literally losing their minds and still refuse to believe their pick for the presidency was defeated. But, now they face the very real possibility that the Republican Party, under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump, is finally becoming the party of the people. At least those that truly care about our country and are among the thinking and higher IQ individuals, who fully understood why the defeat of Hillary Clinton was a monumental victory for the Republican Party.
And no one else that was in the race would have won over the huge odds they faced except for Donald Trump. Now, with another pick for a Supreme Court Justice, Trump's win should not only help the country for 4 or 8 years but with a 6-3 edge on the high court of conservatives, his presidency could well impact America for perhaps 40 years or more.
Barack Hussein Obama's plans to defeat President Donald Trump with his corrupt Department of Justice and FBI have not worked out for him it seems. Now, if only later in the investigation, among many of his fraudulent accomplices, a few members of his crooked government flip or offer to talk to save themselves and begin to point fingers and spit out names with backup documents to inflict great harm to the first black president.
That would be quite fitting because his so-called legacy is quickly crumbling in the hands of President Trump. It is too bad that the first black president had to be the worst president in modern history.
This pathetic individual, Chris Matthews, a news anchor on one of the 'Fake News' networks MSNBC, commands Democrats to block President Trump's SCOTUS nomination. He thinks that democrats can stop Trump from filling Kennedy’s seat and has told them they must do everything they can to block the nomination. Not only is Matthews dumb, he is showing very clearly why people think the liberal media is liberal.
Matthews, like all leftist loons, is still hurting because the Republican controlled Senate blocked Obama’s Supreme Court nominee until after the election. But, the democrats were certain Hillary would be the president. Now Matthews says democrats should do the same thing to Trump with this next nomination:
“If he [Kennedy] gets replaced by a hardline social conservative, the Democratic leadership will have hell to pay. They cannot let this happen. They have to play hardball. They’ve got to do exactly to the other side what Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell did to them,” said Matthews.
But the thing is, when the Republicans blocked Obama’s nominee, they had the majority, as they do now. The democrats can’t block anything in the minority and it’s because former Senate Leader and democrat Harry Reid also used the “nuclear option” to get rid of the filibuster to keep Republicans from blocking things when the democrats controlled the Senate. Now that they are in the minority, they probably think the nuclear option was a bad option, don't you think?
