Radical Democrat PAC to File Complaint with FEC Against President Trump for Not Formally Announcing His 2024 Run

More abuse from the crazy left. A Democrat PAC is accusing President Trump of breaking Federal Election Commission (FEC) finance laws because the President has not yet announced whether he will run in 2024.

🙶 Democratic super PAC American Bridge accused Trump of breaking campaign finance laws on Monday because he hasn’t yet formally announced whether he will run in 2024.

The group told the New York Times that it is filing a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission and using Trump’s own words in the complaint, The Hill reports.

“He should have to adhere to the law in a way that all other candidates do,” Jessica Floyd, the group’s president, said. “When he says, ‘I’m going to do it a third time,’ that’s not flirting. That’s more than a toe dip.”

American Bridge specifically cited a quote by Trump last year in which he said, “I know what I’m going to do, but we’re not supposed to be talking about it yet from the standpoint of campaign finance laws.”

Trump’s team responded to the complaint, saying it has “zero merit.”

🙶 America is spiraling into disaster because of the Democrats’ failures, and instead of reversing course, they are busy filing frivolous complaints that have zero merit,” Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich said.

🙶 For many reasons, the far-left doesn’t want President Trump to run for re-election. His record of success against Biden’s is glaring. Inflation is one area that never was an issue under President Trump but is a nightmare now for Americans under Biden.

Biden’s foreign policy is a nightmare as well with the total failure and embarrassment in Afghanistan and now the crisis in Ukraine.

Apparently some Democrats do not realize that Donald Trump has no choice but to wait until the last minute to formally declare candidacy. He has to consider the possibility that meanwhile, some justice or other leadership might break through the enemy lines and legally take back the presidency (and thus, the nation) on his behalf.

Most on the Left appear to be concerned about Trump, it seems they would like to continue the demise of America with the Democrats in power. With the Democrats and Media it is always fake government, fake election, fake news covers it up, Jan 6 sham committee, so I am hopeful all of that does not save them. America cannot continue with what has transpired because of the installed, totally worthless person now residing in the White House.

Democrats Push For New Heavy Regulations On Internet Postings, Drudge, And Blogs

Breitbart -- As the media prepared to vacate newsrooms for the weekend, Democrats snuck in a last minute proposal that the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) be allowed to heavily regulate political content on internet sites such as Youtube, blogs, and the Drudge Report.

Obama FEC Vice Chairperson Ann M. Ravel announced late on Friday that the FEC was preparing new regulations to give itself control over videos, Internet-based political campaigns, and other content on the web. She insisted that, "A reexamination of the commission’s approach to the internet and other emerging technologies is long overdue."

This snap decision came after the FEC deadlocked 3-3 over whether or not an anti-Obama Internet campaign in Ohio had violated FEC campaign disclosure rules. The videos were placed for free on Youtube and were not paid advertising, but they also did not disclose who made them.

Until now, videos and other political content that is not posted for a fee are unregulated by the FEC. Only paid advertising is regulated under election rules. It is this that the Democrats want to change.

"FEC Chairman Lee E. Goodman, a Republican, said if regulation extends that far, then anybody who writes a political blog, runs a politically active news site, or even a chat room could be regulated," the Washington Examiner reported on October 24.

"I have been warning that my Democratic colleagues were moving to regulate media generally and the Internet specifically for almost a year now," Goodman told FoxNews.com. "And today's statement from Vice Chair Ravel confirms my warnings."

Chairperson Ravel says that it should be illegal for free Internet videos to be used for paid TV advertising. But Goodman points out that Ravel is conflating the matter, and that FEC rules already regulate that situation. TV ads are paid advertising and already fall under regulatory oversight, he said.

Goodman and the other two FEC commissioners who voted that the Ohio videos did not violate regulations lamented the decision by the chair to float oppressive new limits on political free speech on the Internet. "Regrettably, the 3-to-3 vote in this matter suggests a desire to retreat from these important protections for online political speech--a shift in course that could threaten the continued development of the Internet's virtual free marketplace of political ideas and democratic debate," they wrote.

Blog author's comments - Have the Democrats forgotten about free speech? I assume only when it comes from someone who publishes anything critical of a Democrat. I don't think this will ever happen and if it does it should not be passed by the Supreme Court. Certainly, the leftists would like to control any criticism of the Democratic Party and their members in office or those running for office. That is what the Democrats want, more influence over those who do not agree with them.

Regulation is where the destruction of liberty comes from. Nobody elected the members of the FEC, they were appointed by a president. Nobody voted a law that authorized them to do this, but regardless of that they claim the power to transgress on inalienable rights. When free expression doesn't cover political expression, it has become meaningless.
