GP -- Judge Andrew Napolitano dropped a BOMB on FOX and Friends this Tuesday morning. Napolitano claimed President Obama went outside of American chain-of-command, to British intelligence, to spy on Trump!
"Judge Andrew Napolitano: “Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command. He didn’t use the NSA. He didn’t use the CIA. He didn’t use the FBI, and he didn’t use Department of Justice. He used GCHQ. What the heck is GCHQ? That’s the initials for the British spying agency. They have 24/7 access to the NSA database. So by simply having two people go to them saying, ‘President Obama needs transcripts of conversations involving candidate Trump, conversations involving president-elect Trump,’ he’s able to get it, and there’s no American fingerprints on this.”
Blog Author's Comments: I question all news networks. If anyone else had said this, I might not believe it, but Judge Napolitano gives it credibility it might not otherwise have. If Republicans did what he has said, this would be called treason by the mainstream media. If Democrats do it, they call it Opposition Research. This is not exactly surprising, but I would have expected more finesse from the British when it concerned Obama.
I don't know what kind of agreement these intelligence agencies have with each other, but maybe the British felt they had no choice - that if there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia - that it would be vital to the US to be informed before the election. As it has apparently turned out, there was nothing to the Russia/Trump story. The British probably believed that Hillary was going to win the election, which is what the MSM were telling everyone. They no doubt wanted to stay on the Democrats' good side since it looked like they were going to remain in power. I am waiting for the leftist media to run with this story, but have seen nothing. They will probably denounce Napolitano as a liar.
If the British have access to NSA secret data, I have to wonder who else does. How many other US citizens, are under illegal surveillance, by having a third party like British intelligence be the middle man to provide the US, data that our intelligence cannot legally, directly access themselves? This may well go far beyond watching President Donald J. Trump's campaign. I don't think and am hopeful that President Trump would not make unsubstantiated allegations. There is one way to get to the truth, lay an ultimatum down with the UK. No more NSA database until they answer some questions. That is only if what the judge said is 100% correct. I am out on a limb here, but perhaps American intelligence needed a way to worm out of bugging the Trump Tower for Obama, and they might have found a way with British intelligence.
