After Every Mass Shooting, WaPo Sends Out Its Gun Control Message

Truth Revolt -- The dust has barely settled on the Umpqua Community College campus in Oregon after Thursday's mass shooting but The Washington Post is already sending out its "11 essential facts about guns and mass shootings in America."

It's something they have already done previously and promise to do after every mass shooting. Adapted to reflect the most recent incident, they once again hope to "explore America's unique role among advanced countries as a place where support for guns is widespread -- as is violence involving firearms."

Provided are 11 questions with answers about gun violence in the U.S. and gun control. In some cases, these answers just point to another liberally biased publication, Mother Jones, and the information they've gathered in charts and graphs compiled about shooting sprees in America.

"America is an unusually violent country," and "the South is the most violent region in the United States," are just some of the provided information courtesy of WaPo, ensuring the narrative is clear; gun-nuts love guns and love to shoot people, because "more guns tend to mean more homicide."

But Americans will probably just end up continuing to cling to their guns and religion, and the Post admits that, too: "Shootings don't tend to substantially affect views on gun control."

"In fact," the article concludes, "for the first in more than 20 years, Americans showed more support for gun rights than gun control."

The Second Amendment is indeed a tough pill to swallow for liberals.
Blog Author's Comments -- The Washington Post probably has an anti-gun article generator program installed on every computer on site that can spit out something at a moments notice. What else would one expect from this far left paper? The leftists don't seem to understand that all mass shootings cannot be stopped. Less than six hours after the mass shooting in Roseburg, Ore., President Obama called a press conference to demand new gun laws. Is anyone surprised at this? The school was just what the left wants, a 'gun free zone' where everyone is powerless against a mad man with a gun who wants to kill as many people as he can. But, Obama and the Democrats want to hurt the law-abiding gun owners.

Gun control laws have not worked nor will they work to curb tragedies such as this either in mass or individually, for at their heart they target law-abiding citizens rather than the miscreants who would use a gun to deprive others of their lives or property. Additional gun control laws to place heavier restrictions on those who abide by the law only invites more, not less gun violence. Many politicians coldly ignore the obvious to score political points and jump at the chance to never let a crisis or tragedy go to waste.
