CRAMER: Mr. Speaker, how about to you, can corporations do both?
GINGRICH: Sure. Look, obviously, corporations can and should do both. And what is amazing to me is the inability of much of our academic world and much of our news media and most of the people on Occupy Wall Street to have a clue about history.
I have yet to hear a single reporter ask a single Occupy Wall Street person a single rational question about the economy that would lead them to say, for example, "Who is going to pay for the park you are occupying if there are no businesses making a profit?"
Blog author's comments - Gingrich appears to be the candidate that realizes that he is fighting Obama and not the other Republican candidates.
I believe at this time - he is the one with enough perspective, knowledge, and ability to defeat Obama. He is also the brightest of all the candidates. I don’t buy that anyone will really care about any of his negatives when it is clear we’re sliding off the cliff. For those who don't realize this there is no hope. If Obama should win a second term, with nothing to lose, he will destroy our country.
Rick Perry is apparently a good Governor, but has not fared well in the debates. Herman Cain is now fighting the harassment charges and has no political experience.
That leaves Mitt Romney who has his own record to defend but seems to be the favorite for the nomination of many Republicans. He is not a Conservative and I don't believe he can defeat Obama. We could have another election like 2008.
