Blog Author's Comments: Democratic congresswomen and “Squad” members Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley announced their BREATHE Act, because every terrible proposal in Congress needs a catchy acronym. But as insane as it might be, it’s the perfect example of what progressives want, how they get it, and why so often, conservatives lose.

Who knows what the 'Squad' was smoking when they wrote the 'Breathe Act.' What thinking person would want any of this, with what has happened, with the out of control criminality over the past six weeks? The Democrats cannot win without cheating or live without lying, these are facts. Conservatives lose because they treat progressives like adults instead of the children they are. Whenever I think the "progressives" could not possibly sound and act any more ignorant, they find a way to surprise me. So, if the Democrats get their way there will be no cops to arrest us American patriots when we start fighting back.

One of the reasons why President Trump continues to shock people, but not me I am proud of him, is because he is one of the only conservative presidents in most people's memory, if not ever, to actually take up for himself, argue with the left's rhetoric, and actually speak up. They are so used to being able to say whatever they want, no matter how untrue or ridiculous, only to have a Republican president 'take the high road' and not even address the accusations.

This leads to many eligible voters who do not choose a side to defend, or believes the accusations, which vitalizes the lying leftists. It is difficult to stay sane out here with all that is happening. So, what the members of the 'squad' are basically saying is, hey criminals, it's now open season, get rid of anyone you do not like because the police won't come after you, and why would they, there would be no prison to put the criminals in.

Blog author's comments - Progressives believe there isn't a single "illegal alien" in the entire country. They are called "undocumented immigrants." Obama will find a way to give the illegals amnesty and eventually citizenship so they can of course vote for the Democratic Party.

Progressives want gun control. Barack Obama, Eric Holder and other Democrats don't just want more gun control laws; they would like to abolish our right to bear arms. The Democrats will continue to chip away at our Second Amendment rights. The gun ban Obama wants to put in place will only disarm the law abiding citizens.

The left which includes the mainstream media will continue to blame the NRA for the latest mass shooting at the Sandy Hook School in Newtown, Connecticut by a mentally disturbed person. I do not see them condemn the shooter or the fact that he should have been institutionalized nearly as much as they are focusing their sights on the NRA. Because the goal of the NRA is to protect our Second Amendment rights, the left are committed to discrediting and destroying them.

Blog author's comments - The Mayor of Oakland has sided with the anarchists. She is allowing them the freedom to protest and riot. She seems okay with them destroying public and private property, and does not seem upset that public workers have been put in harms way attempting to defend the citizens and city property.

This is what Progressive leadership looks like. Mayor Quan tries to down play the behavior and the violence that has occurred while also appeasing these malcontents on their incoherent issues.

The Occupy protesters are of course backed by some members of the Obama regime.

On this 4th of July, 2010, when the future of the United States appears to be in serious jeopardy, it should be noted that sometimes in the history of a nation, what appears to be an event that could lead to long-term disaster may, in fact, be its long-term salvation.

A case in point: the election of Barack Obama as president and the Democrats in full control of the Congress. To be sure, the far-left domination of government is not a situation to be wished for, but in a perverse way, it was necessary.

Over the past fifty years, regardless of who was in the White House or in charge of Congress, no one has been able to halt the incessant spread of Progressivism in our institutions and the concurrent uncontrolled spending and growth of government.

When a president as accomplished as Ronald Reagan was unable to do so, no future Republican president or Congress, short of a major national catastrophe, could ever fully turn back this tide, as they could not overcome the apathy of the people and the hostility of the media, academia, the entertainment establishment, and federal bureaucracies.

A long as the American people remained largely disengaged (the result of unprecedented prosperity), the damage done to the society as a whole and to the long-term financial health of the country was unknown to the vast majority.

This indifference has begun to undergo significant change as the reality of the nation's future comes into focus, but that reality has started to come to the fore only as the result of the policies being pursued by a far-left government.

Today, thanks to a confluence of two factors, the opportunity exists to reverse the course the United States has been on and change the political power structure in the country.

The first: the emergence of alternative news sources that has broken the stranglehold on the dissemination of news by the traditional outlets dominated by the left.

The second: The election of a president steeped in socialist/Marxist ideology and a Congress controlled by the Progressive element of the Democratic Party.

A trait common to those on the far left is an inability to have any humility; there is an intense conviction of superiority, both intellectually and in their capability to rule the masses. The true believers are incapable of hiding their philosophy and, once elected, are convinced that nearly everyone does or should share their dedication to the power of a central government.

Those who do not conform will be demonized. These extremists will move heaven and earth to achieve their ends, regardless of any long-term consequences, and they cannot avoid shouting from the rooftops what they are doing as tribute to themselves. . . Read entire column
