Lie: I'm not a big fan of the Obamas.
--Meghan McCain, who will take every opportunity she has to praise the president and put down conservatives.

Lie: And more preposterous, which is that the president's policies have made the recession worse.
--David Axelrod defending policies that have provided us with a non-existent recovery.

Lie: Quite frankly, the collection of Republicans that are running for president really are pretty unremarkable. They all embrace extremism.
--DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. This "extremism" is what the American people sided with in 2010, and the only thing unremarkable about the 2012 election is Obama's list of accomplishment.

Lie: I have an obligation as President to do what I can without them.
--President Obama. No, you have an obligation to defend the Constitution, not to do whatever you want.

Lie: That was one of the most ungracious moments in politics.
--Former Bush Press Secretary Ari Fleischer on Newt's speech in Iowa last night. It wasn't ungracious, it was Newt letting his supporters know he is in this fight for the long haul.

Lie: If there is anyone who has set an example about making sure that we reduce the influence of lobbyists and of corporate and outside special interests on campaigns it is President Obama.
--DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, apparently forgetting about Obama taking more money from Wall Street than any politician in history.

Lie: You know: detached or Spock-like or very analytical. I think that's a misconception about me
--President Obama talking about a misconception people may have of him. Right, because taking a two week, $4 million vacation to Hawaii doesn't show any detachment from the American people

Lie: You have to wonder whether some folks over there [In the GOP] think somehow screwing up the economy, throwing a wrench in the works is a good political strategy for them.
--Obama senior adviser David Axelrod who cannot believe that there are people who disagree with him and the president on the issues.

Lie: Taxes are not being paid at the top.
--Robert Reich ignoring the fact that the top 10% of earners pay 71% of the taxes.

More Miscellaneous Lies By Liberals

From the . . .

Lie: There are always bumps on the road to recovery, but the overall trajectory of the economy has improved dramatically.
--Austan Goolsbee, Obama's chief economic advisor, trying to convince people that all this terrible news shows that the economy is on the right track.

Lie: We need a stimulus.
--Rep. Norm Dicks (D-Washington). After pumping $5 trillion into the economy resulting in 9% unemployment, the last thing we need is another stimulus.

Lie: We don't think that's a matter of demagoguery.
--White House spokesman Jay Carney talking about Obama's opposition to Ryan's budget. Why then did Obama invite Paul Ryan to a speech in order to insult him?

Lie: This is dangerous.
--A CBS producer complaining about reporters having to follow Palin's bus tour. No, it isn't dangerous. It is simply driving a car.

Lie: They [Republicans] wanted to cut the Medicaid program which cuts a big hole in the safety net for the poor to get their health care needs which means people in nursing homes would be dumped out of those nursing homes.
--Democrat Rep. Henry Waxman. No, Henry, Republicans don't want to kick people out of nursing homes. We want to reform the system so it works without bankrupting the nation.

Lie: John Boehner said America is broke, I disagree America is not broke.
--House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer. Yes, America is broke, that is why there is a huge fight over how to control our spending over the coming decades.

Lie: There's no one more Irish than me.
--President O'Bama. There are millions of people more Irish than you are Mr. President. Also, the sentence you were looking for is "There's no one more Irish than I."

Lie: I feel that my role as a former president is superior to that of other presidents.
--Former President Jimmy Carter. No, Jimmy, you are not our best former president. You are not even close.

Lie: Let's think about the last couple of years. We've gone from an economy on the brink of collapse to an economy that's starting to grow again.
--Michelle Obama needs to step outside the White House in order to see that the economy is still in the toilet.
