Why We Need The Electoral College...

Today’s radicalized Democrats have all sorts of big ideas that could inflict permanent damage on the country, like eviscerating the Judicial Branch by packing the Supreme Court and even undermining the fundamental structure of our republican system of government by abolishing the Electoral College. Jason Siler explains why the latter has to be stopped:

Blog Author's Comments: The majority of those in places of power and influence know full well why the Electoral College was put in place, they simply do not care. The only thing they do care about is power, and to them the Electoral College impedes their access to power. Therefore they think, it must go.

And that is the fundamental truth behind the push to eliminate it. The Founding Fathers put the electoral college in the Constitution as an anti-simpleton clause. That is why the slow-witted, but extremely devious within the Democratic Party want to remove it.

Blog Author's Comments: Since the news of Trump’s victory broke the Democrats, leftists, liberals, mainstream media and many millennial snowflakes, have been in a constant state of emotional hatred of the man, our president. He has now been in office a little over 130 days and they have continued the banter and anger that is beyond belief. And the majority of them could not if asked why, give an intelligent reason for their behavior.

It’s no surprise that when forced to choose between the two most disliked major party nominees in modern political history, independents and undecided voters broke for Trump in the waning moments. When backed into such a corner, the middle class is mostly concerned with their livelihood and safety. After eight years of what they determined to be uncertainty in those key areas, a vote for change was likely inspiring.

The founders intentionally established the Electoral College to protect us against a bare majority, and there was never any intention amongst the Continental Congress to create a pure majority-rule democracy. The Electoral College provides checks and balances to the process, preventing a single ideology or branch of government from dominating the political landscape. It was not until a partisan lens was applied, after the most unpredictable and unprecedented upset in presidential election history that the Electoral College began to seem unfair for the crowd known as the ‘Never Trumpers.’

Although his rhetoric may have disenfranchised percentages of every demographic throughout campaign season, Trump won the presidency the only way our county has ever awarded it. No crying and marching and outright bitterness and contempt for our president will give the Trump haters what they want and expect. I don't believe they even know what they want except for the fact that Hillary Clinton, the worst candidate and most corrupt person to ever run for the presidency, will never be our president. And that is a very good thing about living in America now.

Everyone prior to the election had to be feeling some level of anxiety over what a Trump or Clinton presidency would bring our country after such a long and turbulent campaign season. As a Donald Trump supporter since he got into the race for the GOP nominee, I could tell that our country had someone special that could as he said during the campaign - 'Make America Great Again.' The sometimes violent, aggressive and very disrespectful response by so many liberal voters thus far, and their attack on the Electoral College, will only reinforce the motivation to forever keep the Electoral College to protect from a small minority being able to decree something as important as a presidential election. After the results of the 2016 election was made known the political left didn't just lose an election last November, they lost their minds.

White House, Clinton Tied To PR Firm Behind Electoral College Push

Daily Caller -- The public relations firm working behind the scenes with the faithless electors is rife with ties to prominent Democrats like President Obama and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Megaphone Strategies, whose stated mission is to “use PR as a tool to diversify progressive movements,” typically works with progressive causes like Black Lives Matter. The firm is representing the handful of “faithless electors” trying to keep President-elect Donald Trump from winning the Electoral College vote.

The firm was co-founded by Van Jones, the former green jobs czar in the Obama White House who later resigned after it was revealed he signed a statement questioning whether the Bush administration had a role in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Jones now works as a CNN commentator.

Molly Haigh, Megaphone’s co-founder and president, worked for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Haigh blames the Republican party’s “racist, misogynist, xenophobic fear mongering” for Trump’s rise to power.

Perhaps she should have worked harder campaigning instead of sleeping. She thought Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin's Electoral votes were hers and she did not have to campaign for them. And with Donald Trump the next president, he will invalidate any Obama's legacy that exists. Van Jones is also still in denial, but he is nothing more than a black racist which is why he is now an employee of CNN.

This election proved beyond doubt, with empirical evidence, the Democrat party and media are one and the same. Liberals are such poor losers; I have never seen such a group so eager to embarrass themselves. All roads seem to lead back to the Clinton crime family. She can't handle her loss so she's using whatever radical liberal group she needs to try and steal the election and the media are doing her dirty work daily, with their fabricated news stories, i.e. Russia stole the election from her. The truth is that no one actually knows who was behind the hacking of Hillary and John Podesta's emails which brought us WikiLeaks. This cast some light on how corrupt and criminal Hillary Clinton is.

Distressed 'Not My President' Group Publishes Personal Contact Information On The Electorial College Officials

Bizpac Review -- Although November 8th’s votes have been counted and Donald Trump declared the president-elect, there are still plenty of Clinton supporters calling for a Mulligan — and are taking steps to see that it happens.

In the wee hours of the morning of the 9th, The Associated Press reported that the Republican nominee exceeded the 270 electoral votes he needed to become America’s 45th president.

But that count won’t become official until the electors meet on December 19. Until that date, it’s constitutionally possible — although unlikely — that the electors could change their votes.

Unlikely or not, the sore losers on the left are pulling out all the stops for that to happen, including the initiation of a petition drive and publishing the personal contact information of the electors in those states that voted Republican.

The #NotMyPresident movement spokesman, Jon Gedney, claimed that although his group is publishing this information on the electors, it “rejected all acts of aggression and violence,” and that it only released information that was readily available, according to BuzzFeed News.

“The point was to collect as a tool for peaceful action,” Gedney said. “The whole thing is we’re fighting against someone who’s contentious and hateful. No one in our group is going to use it for nefarious purposes.”

Of course not. BuzzFeed reported:

A spreadsheet distributed to supporters Wednesday included the personal phone numbers, addresses, religions, races, genders, and candidate preference of the electors. The document does not have a complete set of data on every elector.

The group hopes that its members and citizens around the country will contact electors and persuade them to change their vote from Donald Trump to another candidate before Dec. 19, when electors cast their votes. The group does not advocate for Hillary Clinton or any other specific candidate, rather asking protesters to encourage electors from each state to a consensus that isn’t Trump.

In addition to taking this direct action, a Change.org petition was started that has attracted nearly 4.4 million signatures, also calling on the electoral college to make Clinton president.

“There is no reason Trump should be President” the petition says, because “she won the popular vote.”

What they fail to understand is that on a state-by-state basis, Clinton lost the popular vote.

On the night of the election far-left columnist and CNN contributor Sally Kohn made a prediction. 'My sense is that if Trump wins, Hillary supporters will be sad. If Hillary wins, Trump supporters will be angry. Important difference.'

It looks as though she had that one backwards. Not only did Clinton supporters riot in the streets for days following the election, they also live in denial of the election’s results.

Blog Author's Comments -- If you are a citizen of the United States, then Donald Trump will be your president on January 20th, the same as Obama was for the last 8 yrs. I didn't vote for him, but he was the president whether I liked it or not. These people disgust me. They need to pull themselves together and move on with their lives. By making personal information on the Electors available, they are deliberately placing these individuals in jeopardy. But, obviously they don't care and will continue to cry and moan for years.

All the anti-Trump people, what is your problem? Would you would rather have a criminal as President, who by the way has zero interest in your lives and was in it solely as a personal legacy and to make more money for her fraudulent foundation and who is under investigation by the FBI? Does that not mean anything to you? Wake up people, Trump won, Clinton lost, get over it!

Can you imagine a presidential election where only the voters of New York and California and Texas mattered? I mean, those are the population centers, and if you have to win the presidency by virtue of popular vote, well, you have got to go where people live. It would mean 80% of the country and their votes wouldn't matter. It's one of the many aspects of the brilliance of the Electoral College.

Also, the media is fixated here. They're worried that Trump might not appoint enough people of the proper race, proper agenda. It might not be the proper diversity. So Trump's cabinet might not 'look like America.' Frankly, I don't care. I don't want it to look like America. I want a cabinet that thinks like America and works like America. We've needed that for so long.
