Feinstein Rips Pelosi For Holding Impeachment Articles: 'I Don't See What Good Delay Does'

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) on Wednesday suggested that it is time for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to transmit the articles of impeachment against the president to the Senate, remarking, “I don’t see what good delay does.”

If we’re going to do it, she should send them over,” Feinstein said, according to Bloomberg. “I don’t see what good delay does.”

While Pelosi has yet to signal when she will send the articles to the upper chamber, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) defended her decision, contending that she wanted to “see the arena in which she was playing” and suggesting that she successfully prevented a quick acquittal of the president.

“She wanted to see the arena in which she was playing when it came to a trial so she could appoint impeachment managers,” Schumer stated. “Now it’s becoming clear that Mitch McConnell will do whatever he can to avoid a fair trial, so she has some idea of what’s happening,” he continued.

Pelosi was rumored to hold on to the articles until the Senate agreed to have former National Security Advisor John Bolton, who said he would comply in the event of a subpoena, testify. However, the Senate GOP has enough votes to block the Democrats’ demands for immediate witnesses[…]

With the GOP’s upper hand in the Senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has signaled that he is prepared to start an impeachment trial without a deal on witnesses. However, Schumer has vowed to continue pressing for his caucus’s demands.

“If you’re afraid of the facts, if you’re afraid of what will come out, if you want to cover it up even in something as weighty and serious as impeachment, you say no witnesses and no documents,” Schumer said on Tuesday.

“Witnesses and documents? Fair trial. No witnesses and no documents? A coverup,” he added.

Pelosi said on Wednesday that she is “waiting to see what the terms are” before transmitting the articles to the upper chamber.

“How we choose our managers depends on what the arena is that we are going into,” she said, echoing Schumer.

Blog Author's Comments: Interesting that crooked and dishonest Feinstein has criticized her corrupt and twisted cohort Pelosi. The Speaker is aware she has nothing to impeach the President for, so she is stalling and digging for anything that will add to their already pathetic reasons to remove the duly elected President. The Democrats will never get over the fact that Hillary was and will forever be a terrible candidate and person.

The Democrats are angry they cannot change the Senate rules to use their dirty lawyers and law professors, as they did in the House. Their "managers" will be a very hard choice as the entire party are communists and/or insane.

They know that their 2020 hopes are almost over, thanks to the constant drum beat to impeach. The voting public is tired and many stopped paying attention months ago. They cannot overcome the booming Trump economy, his winning at home and abroad for America, and at this point in time, the fact that the Democrats don't have a viable candidate to run against him.

Dianne Feinstein Says A 'Bad Cold' May Have 'Slowed Down' Her Mental Faculties

Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein suggested a “bad cold” may have impaired her mental faculties and caused her to release Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee without telling committee chairman Chuck Grassley.

Feinstein published Simpson’s testimony on Tuesday, catching Republicans by surprise. Simpson’s testimony, taken during August of last year, covered his firm’s role in producing the infamous anti-Trump dossier for the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee.

Feinstein, 84, expressed regret on Wednesday for keeping Sen. Grassley in the dark, and suggested it was because of a “bad cold.”

“The one regret I have is that I should have spoke with Senator Grassley before,” she told NBC News. “And I don’t make an excuse but I’ve had a bad cold and maybe that slowed down my mental facilities [sic] a little bit.”

Grassley said Tuesday that Feinstein’s decision to abruptly publish the documents was “confounding” and said he expected the documents to be released “when we both agreed to release it.”

This is no laughing matter, this woman has the highest security clearance there is, if she is capable of this she needs to be removed from her position and have her security clearance revoked for the sake of our national security. The octogenarian Feinstein’s move may have already backfired though as Republicans are now demanding specific answers on the collusion between Fusion GPS and the corrupt Obama stay behind network at FBI/DOJ. Democrats have a total disregard for rules, the rule of law and the Constitution. Democrats always strive to establish a new low bar in precedents for others to follow. It’s all quite simple. Fusion GPS is a dirty firm that works on behalf of the Deep State and Democrats. Feinstein’s unusual move all but implicates her in the plot as the longtime ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, the one that is theoretically supposed to exercise oversight.

Since Donald Trump was elected president the Democrats and the mainstream media have certainly shown who they are and what they are capable of doing. Does any semi-sane citizen of our country really want them to gain power over us again? I would bet that Feinstein made all of her fellow democrats very proud of her.

Breitbart -- On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) stated that she has not seen any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, and that special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is the one that “would bring forward solid evidence on which you could base a criminal case and indict someone.”

Anchor Wolf Blitzer asked, “The last time we spoke, Senator, I asked you if you had actually seen evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, and you said to me — and I’m quoting you know — you said, ‘Not at this time.’ Has anything changed since we spoke last?”

Feinstein answered, “Well, not — no, it hasn’t. So, I would depend on this investigation that we’re talking about, that would bring forward any criminal activity, and, of course, has the right and the ability to charge people, select targets, look at them, bring about an indictment. And so, it’s a very big investigation, and I think somebody that’s as sophisticated as Bob Mueller is really the one to carry it out and see that it does not go awry, it does not overeach, but it’s what it should be.”

Blitzer followed up, “[S]o far, you have not seen any evidence of collusion, is that right?”

Feinstein responded, “Well, evidence that would establish that there’s collusion. There are all kinds of rumors around. there are newspaper stories, but that’s not necessarily evidence. And so, you’ve got the Intelligence Committee looking at it, and you will have the Mueller investigation going on, and it’s the Mueller investigation that would bring forward solid evidence on which you could base a criminal case and indict someone.”

Feinstein Proposes Assault Weapons Ban

ABC News -- With an AR-15 and nine other guns on her left, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., introduced a bill today that would ban assault weapons and high capacity ammunition clips.

The bill comes nearly 20 years after the first assault weapons ban was signed into law.

“I remain horrified by the massacre committed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., and I’m also incensed that our weak gun laws allow these mass killings to be carried out again and again and again,” said Feinstein, who was joined by senators, representatives, mayors, police officials and victims of gun violence.[...]

Feinstein’s proposed plan, which she will formally introduce on the Senate floor this afternoon, will ban the sale, transfer, manufacturing and importation of 158 semi-automatic weapons with at least one military feature. It would also ban fixed magazines that are capable of holding more than 10 rounds.[...]

“Getting this bill signed into law will be an uphill battle, and I recognize that, but it’s a battle worth having,” Feinstein said. “We must balance the desire of a few to own military-style assault weapons with the growing threat to lives across America.”

The National Rifle Association said Feinstein’s plan infringes on second amendment rights and neglects to address other issues spurring gun violence.

“Senator Feinstein has been trying to ban guns from law-abiding citizens for decades. It’s disappointing but not surprising that she is once again focused on curtailing the Constitution instead of prosecuting criminals or fixing our broken mental health system. The American people know gun bans do not work and we are confident Congress will reject Senator Feinstein’s wrong-headed approach,” Andrew Arulanandam, spokesman for the NRA, told ABC News.

Blog author's comments - Sen. Feinstein's bill does not address the main reason for the shooting at the Sandy Hook school which was the mental health of Adam Lanza the shooter. She would like to ban all semi-automatic weapons. Feinstein also wants to create a national registry of gun owners and the guns they own.

I have said it before but will repeat myself...the criminals are not worried about new gun laws...more gun laws will not affect them. What is being proposed will only penalize law-abiding gun owners. If it were up to the Democrats there would be no Second Amendment.
