Supreme Court Rejects Request To Stay Lower Court Ruling On Asylum Ban - Judge Roberts Sides With Liberal Justices

Somehow, despite 85-year-old Justice Ginsburg being incapacitated by surgery and intensive care recovery, the supreme court voted 5-4 to allow a lower court block on President Trump’s asylum restrictions to remain in place. Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the three resistance activists and the unknown puppeteer for Ginsburg.

WASHINGTON(AP) - A divided Supreme Court won’t let the Trump administration begin enforcing a ban on asylum for any immigrants who illegally cross the U.S.-Mexico border.

Chief Justice John Roberts joined his four more liberal colleagues Friday in ruling against the administration in the very case in which President Donald Trump had derided the “Obama judge” who first blocked the asylum policy.

New Justice Brett Kavanaugh and three other conservative justices sided with the administration. There were no opinions explaining either side’s votes.

Blog Author's Comments: Chief Justice Roberts is a disaster. First bailing out Obamacare, then failing to investigate FISA court abuse which he overseas, and now this. This ruling is going to destroy some states on the border, but obviously the Chief Justice does not care. He and Obama must have a good laugh whenever they see each other, over how they pulled yet another one over the too-trusting and naïve conservatives. From the minute it was announced that the Affordable Care Act was deemed a tax and therefore “constitutional”, I knew Roberts was definitely part of the deep state. How can anyone that cares about our country have any respect for this liberal 'turn coat'?

I also cannot see, no matter how tough and mean Ruth Ginsburg is, that she will be around much longer. The Democrats and leftist media's heads will explode if President Trump can install another conservative Republican on the high court. If that happens, Robert's votes will no longer matter. I have to believe he must not see the Constitution as a valid document. A fake conservative is somehow more harmful and dangerous than an admitted liberal. Judge Roberts is obviously compromised. Perhaps he is making decisions not on the Constitution, but on his dislike of the President.

Chief Justice Hit By Credit-Card Fraud

Washington Post -- Credit-card fraud can strike anyone, anywhere. Ask Chief Justice John Roberts.

Roberts usually uses a credit card to buy his morning coffee at his local Starbucks in suburban Maryland.

But on Tuesday, when he needed to be extra sharp for the arguments that day over California’s ban of same-sex marriage, he had to pay in cash.

Seems someone had gotten his credit-card numbers, he told the cashier, and he was obliged to cancel the card.

Blog author's comments - The Conservative fraud is a victim of credit card fraud. I have lost all respect for Justice John Roberts. He had the future of the U.S. medical care system in his hands, to make or break. He chose to break it. I doubt he has lost any sleep over what he did. His ruling was based on politics and not the law.

Many conservatives are still trying to figure out why Supreme Court Justice Roberts voted with the four liberal Justices on the Court 5-4 to uphold the constitutionality of the most controversial part of Obamacare. The Obamacare individual mandate requires all Americans to purchase health insurance by 2014 or pay a monetary penalty.

The majority decision, written by Roberts, characterizes the mandate as a tax permissible under the constitution's Tax Clause. The Obamacare law does not even refer to its mandate as a tax. Obama declared in 2009 that his health care law was not a tax.
