Blog Author's Comments: Portland officials tear into and complain about the acts of violence which gripped the city over the last two months. But, it is unbelievable that these elected officials allowed the riots to continue 41 consecutive nights. The Oregon Governor Kate Brown would not let the officers use tear gas and their House Speaker asked the police chief to 'rein in' the officers. Also, blame Ted Wheeler the Mayor for encouraging and enabling these rioters. Democrat mayors and governors, next time do not tell the police to stand down and we won't have to listen to you whining. This is the Democrat government the voters apparently wanted in office, to keep the peace and protect the citizens.
Governor, Mayor, House members and police... making the hard calls is why you’re there, if you cannot, then step aside and allow the adults to make the decisions, it is easy to be a politician when you have no problems. Portlanders need to take a hard look at who they are voting for to manage their city, they put their trust in elected public officials and they have been betrayed.
Yet Portland city council refuses to act against the criminals, are they all Antifa and BLM sympathizers? Without a doubt, the Democrat leaders will want federal funds to patch and shore up their city and businesses, but it is time for the silent majority to start making some noise. Antifa has been in Portland, riots, fights and protests for 3 years, and it is the Mayor and City Council that hamper the Police in the fight against them.
