Town Hall -- The FBI has denied a Freedom of Information Act request seeking a series of emails belonging to former Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. In their rejection of the request, the FBI cited a "lack of public interest" for their decision.
Former Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz is having none of it. While co-hosting Fox News Outnumbered this week, Chaffetz ripped the FBI and accused the Bureau of covering for Clinton.
"This is absolutely disgusting, it's totally counter to who we are as a nation. We are open, we are transparent, we're supposed to be self-critical. The American people pay for this government. Hillary Clinton was the Secretary of State, what she created were federal records and every individual in this country has the right to see those," Chaffetz said. "They're protecting themselves, they're protecting Hillary Clinton and they don't want the exposure. What is it that they're hiding?"
Meanwhile, government watchdog Judicial Watch is still fighting for all of Clinton's emails in court. In recent months, the group has exposed Clinton sent even more classified information to aide Huma Abedine through her unsecured, personal email server than previously known. They've also produced emails showing Abedine using the Secretary of State's office to do favors for Clinton Foundation donors.
Blog Author's Comments: I seriously doubt that Clinton's emails will ever be seen, if they were she and perhaps a few others around her could face some serious consequences. What Mr. Chaffetz fails to mention is the real motive for the FBI in not providing the emails. Muller and Comey are probably involved in a conspiracy with the former AG Lynch's people who are still working in the DOJ and were there when the Hillary Clinton campaign to operate a sham investigation came about. In other words, some members of the FBI are still there obstructing justice. But, we hear nothing from the newly appointed Director of the FBI Christopher Wray.
What I do not understand is, why isn't the current AG Jeff Sessions getting involved in this and why isn’t he making an effort to use his power to get what he needs? Also no statements on Antifa, no statements on hate crimes against Trump supporters, no statements about the destruction of public property (statues). He should resign if he cannot handle the job. Trump should have put him in another position and found another Attorney General who was not afraid to deal with the many problems his office should be working on.
With the middle management of the FBI made of people who matriculated up through the Obama years, nobody is really in charge. There is the new director that was just appointed that is supported by senior leadership but they don't seem to be getting anything accomplished concerning the many different problems one would expect them to be involved in. It seems the FBI is still a political organization and at this point in time, very little justice can be found there.
I don't think there are a lot of true conservatives who support the Republican Party. But given what the Democrat party has become, every thinking American ought to be for any alternative to that. They have created the corruption and the development of a government welfare plantation. But again I repeat, I would be very surprised if anyone in the Republican Party makes any progress in ever seeing Hillary Clinton’s emails, especially since former FBI Director Comey never wanted to pursue what she did, was and is obviously guilty of and let her slip away from any wrong doing, he was and still is totally politicized.
