Breitbart -- Ohio Gov. John Kasich claimed in his new book that the reason President Trump won the election was because America is in a moral decline.
In Two Paths: America Divided or United, Kasich blamed Trump’s electoral win on groups ranging from the media to dishonest politicians, but he also said one of the main reasons Trump won was because of the spiritual decline in America.
“I happen to believe that you can’t guide an entire society without a shared religious foundation,” Kasich wrote. “I saw Trump’s reckless entreaties as a weakening of our shared American values — even more so, a coarsening of our shared American values … Donald Trump gave the impression of a man who would do or say anything to get attention, even incite a crowd to violence.”
Kasich also noted that Trump “gave millions of disenfranchised voters a voice.”
“What the voters were telling us in this election was that they were angry, that they were feeling that their lives were out of control, that there was a sense of helplessness and hopelessness in the heartland,” Kasich wrote.
Kasich announced back in March that he does not believe he will make another run for political office again, surprising many of his supporters. His term as Ohio governor will expire in January 2019.
Blog Author's Comments: I have little doubt that because Kasich did not even come close to winning the nomination, he was hoping that Hillary Clinton would have won and would be America's president. Kasich is a jealous and envious person who only won his own state, Ohio. But, that brought delusions of grandeur and he apparently thought if he would stay in the race, by some miracle, he could win the nomination. Someone on his staff or even his wife should have told him that he had absolutely no chance of winning. I would like to know who his stake horse was. I am happy to hear that he is bailing out of politics, if that statement is in fact true. And - by the way - does anyone who voted for Donald Trump - believe he "gave the impression of a man who would do or say anything to get attention, even incite a crowd to violence"? This is what Kasich believes. Another reason Trump won the nomination over Kasich was that the voters knew, Hillary Clinton would have easily defeated Kasich, in the debates and general election.
Newsflash for Kasich - Trump didn't win the election because of the media or an American "spiritual decline." Trump won because America is sick of the high taxes, out of control regulatory agencies, Obamacare, PC culture, uncontrolled immigration, manufacturing being shipped overseas, and being ripped off on trade. The GOP Convention was held in his home state and he did not even attend. That alone should clue anyone into the type of person he is.
So many voters wanted what Donald Trump wants for us and so many were also sick of Barrack Hussein Obama and what his crooked party was doing to our country. They felt the same about his corrupt Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Donald Trump won because American's aren't as stupid as the 'Establishment' thinks they are or wants them to be. Kasich's comments demonstrate that he still hasn’t learned that lesson.
We have to rid ourselves of more of this type of politician within our own party before some of them have the chance to do us more harm. Without President Trump I would have zero hope that America would not only survive but that it had a better than good chance of coming back to what many of us remember it once being. John Kasich is a very small-minded man and I for one am not sorry he will soon be gone. He is a sore loser with zero charisma. A slouch with no backbone and no understanding of what it means to be a sovereign nation. He is also pro-amnesty, which in my book, makes him anti-American.
