The Inauguration Of President Donald J. Trump

Blog Author's Comments -- Today is a great day for America. I am glad that I am here to witness President Donald J. Trump being sworn into office and believe he will be the president that our country needs. This is a man who gave up the life that he has known for many years as a very successful business man, with a good family and all the monetary possessions he would ever want or need. He fought extremely hard against the Democrats, the media and members of his own party. But, the people like him for who he is and showed that on Election Day. President Trump will need some help from his party to accomplish what he and many of us feel needs to be accomplished. But I believe he will do all that he can to achieve the goals he has set for himself and us.

Donald Trump did not disappoint. He held true to his convictions, and hence he held true to his supporters. After taking the oath of office, President Donald Trump delivered a historic inaugural address. Voices who contemplated or predicted a speech of lofty prose and familiar political rhetoric would find themselves immediately headed for their safe spaces. President Trump delivered a clear, simple and plain spoken speech, targeted with specific purpose in delivery toward the professional political class.

[FROM TRANSCRIPT OF SPEECH BY THE PRESISENT] "Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans, and people of the world: thank you.

We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and to restore its promise for all of our people. Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for years to come. We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done."

…”January 20th 2017 will be remembered as the day the
people became the rulers of this nation again.”…
