New Study Undermines Key Global Warming Claim Of Obama Administration

Truth Revolt -- A new study by the University of Houston's Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science undermines a key premise driving the Obama administration's global warming agenda.

While the administration pushes the argument that rising temperatures will increase ground-level ozone in order to promote its global warming agenda, a team of researchers have found that the number of high-ozone days in Houston are actually decreasing.

That finding directly contradicts claims by the Environmental Protection Agency that global warming will increase high-ozone days, which it warns will lead to more cases of respiratory illnesses and heightened asthma risks.

The Houston researchers found that over the past 23 years, increasing sea breeze—which they attribute to increasing land surface temperatures, pressure gradients, and on-shore winds—has actually reduced ground-level ozone. This pattern, they estimate, "should be a general result at locations worldwide."

This finding seems to contradict one of the EPA's most prominent arguments. On its website, the agency claims will be the results of global warming-caused ozone-level increases, including a potential 68% increase of high-ozone days in major U.S. cities by 2050.

As The Daily Caller's Michael Bastasch points out, the Houston study comes as the the EPA is close to finalizing new power plant regulations that it says will reduce CO2 output by hundreds of million of metric tons and thus reduce global temperatures and ground-level ozone. The supposed reduction of ozone levels, the EPA maintains, will save Americans billions in health costs.

"The Clean Power Plan will lead to climate and health benefits worth an estimated $55 billion to $93 billion in 2030, including avoiding 2,700 to 6,600 premature deaths and 140,000 to 150,000 asthma attacks in children," an EPA fact sheet claims.

Bastasch also notes that the administration admits that its new policies will have little to no impact on global temperatures, but insists that the changes are necessary to demonstrate that America is serious about global warming and inspire other countries to follow our lead.
Blog Author's Comments - It is my belief that global warming is a scam. Facts never seem to get in the way of the whole Global Warming agenda. Obama and the rest of the Democrats will still say that the ozone will continue to increase. And of course, the complicit press won't bother to question it.

As the column states the administration admits that its new policies will have little to no impact on global temperatures, but insists that the changes are necessary to demonstrate that America is serious about global warming and inspire other countries to follow our lead.
