I am here today to say that climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security, and, make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country. -- Obama
As the first African-American first lady, I was also the focus of another set of questions and speculations, conversations sometimes rooted in the fears and misperceptions of others: Was I too loud, or too angry or too emasculating? -- Michelle Obama
The American people support comprehensive immigration reform not just because it's the right thing to do - and it is - but because it will strengthen families, strengthen our economy, and strengthen our country. -- Hillary Clinton
[If] you want to grow at 4 percent instead of 2 percent per year, you need younger, more dynamic people inside of our economy to get to 4 percent growth. -- Jeb Bush
I think that Jeb can talk about the values of our party as good as anybody that we have. -- John Boehner
Presidents have the right to pick their team in general. If someone is supportive of the president's policies, whether you agree with them or not, there should be some deference to the executive. It should not always be partisan. -- Jeb Bush
Hillary was a formidable candidate in 2008, she was a great supporter of mine in the general election, she was an outstanding secretary of state, she is my friend. -- Obama
If Iran cheats, the world will know it and if we see anything suspicious, we will inspect it. -- Obama
We look at Sgt. Bergdahl as someone who served his country as many men and women have. -- Jen Psaki
Marilyn Mosby's consequences, 27 people shot Memorial Day weekend, deadliest month in almost two decades.
Baltimore State Attorney, and "Black Lives Matter" activist Marilyn Mosby, has created an environment of brutal lawlessness in the wake of her animosity toward city police officers. Thugs now rule the streets. In the dangerous Western region police are forced to stop proactive policing.
Truth Revolt -- The situation in Baltimore has worsened dramatically since the outbreak of riots following the death of Freddie Gray, with the number of gun-related deaths jumping up, while insiders specifically cite the high-profile charging of six officers as having discouraged officers from doing their jobs in tough areas.
As the Washington Post reported Sunday, since mid-April Baltimore has suffered a dramatic increase in violence:
From mid-April to mid-May, 31 people were killed, and 39 others were wounded by gunfire. Twice, 10 people were shot on a single day. As of Friday, the deadly burst has pushed the city’s homicide count to 91, 21 above last year at the same time. In the District, 40 people had been slain as of Friday, not including four people found dead Thursday in cases police said are being investigated as homicides but are awaiting a ruling by the medical examiner.
Though Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said that "we don't know" if the problem is really "because morale is down, or it’s because the officers were charged," CBS Baltimore reports that "concerned police" are blaming the "alarming surge" in violence in Baltimore on officers being "hesitant to crack down after six officers were charged in the death of Freddie Gray."
One Baltimore officer, who asked to remain anonymous, told CBS that the Gray case has definitely damaged policing. "If you want them to be proactive in patrolling and trying to catch people, I could see them not being interested in doing that," he said.
Blog Author's Comments -- The morale of the police department is definably not good to say the least. The officers are not happy that their six fellow officers were arrested and charged. They appear to have their hands tied trying to enforce the law. What is making things worse is that the blacks seem to enjoy the riots and shootings. More choose to live on the government plantation as current-day slaves so they can continue to blame others for their and failures.
And usually in most black communities it is the white folks that receive the blame. Race relations between the black and white communities have grown much worse since Obama has been in office. He was supposed to be the 'uniter' when he was first elected President. He has helped to create the divide that now exists. I don't think it will ever improve.
Of the six officers charged three are black, there is a black female mayor, with a black female state attorney in a city ruled by Democrats for over 50 years. And now we have the first black female Attorney General appointed by the first black President. What could possibly go wrong?
Truth Revolt -- A new study by the University of Houston's Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science undermines a key premise driving the Obama administration's global warming agenda.
While the administration pushes the argument that rising temperatures will increase ground-level ozone in order to promote its global warming agenda, a team of researchers have found that the number of high-ozone days in Houston are actually decreasing.
That finding directly contradicts claims by the Environmental Protection Agency that global warming will increase high-ozone days, which it warns will lead to more cases of respiratory illnesses and heightened asthma risks.
The Houston researchers found that over the past 23 years, increasing sea breeze—which they attribute to increasing land surface temperatures, pressure gradients, and on-shore winds—has actually reduced ground-level ozone. This pattern, they estimate, "should be a general result at locations worldwide."
This finding seems to contradict one of the EPA's most prominent arguments. On its website, the agency claims will be the results of global warming-caused ozone-level increases, including a potential 68% increase of high-ozone days in major U.S. cities by 2050.
As The Daily Caller's Michael Bastasch points out, the Houston study comes as the the EPA is close to finalizing new power plant regulations that it says will reduce CO2 output by hundreds of million of metric tons and thus reduce global temperatures and ground-level ozone. The supposed reduction of ozone levels, the EPA maintains, will save Americans billions in health costs.
"The Clean Power Plan will lead to climate and health benefits worth an estimated $55 billion to $93 billion in 2030, including avoiding 2,700 to 6,600 premature deaths and 140,000 to 150,000 asthma attacks in children," an EPA fact sheet claims.
Bastasch also notes that the administration admits that its new policies will have little to no impact on global temperatures, but insists that the changes are necessary to demonstrate that America is serious about global warming and inspire other countries to follow our lead.
Blog Author's Comments - It is my belief that global warming is a scam. Facts never seem to get in the way of the whole Global Warming agenda. Obama and the rest of the Democrats will still say that the ozone will continue to increase. And of course, the complicit press won't bother to question it.
As the column states the administration admits that its new policies will have little to no impact on global temperatures, but insists that the changes are necessary to demonstrate that America is serious about global warming and inspire other countries to follow our lead.
Blog Author's Comments - Everything O'Reilly said is true yet the mainstream media which is nothing more than the DNC propaganda machine refuses to speak the truth. What he said the liberals will not accept. Since Obama has been in office these problems continue to get worse.
I don't watch the O'Reilly show but with this episode many will label him a racist. I am sure Obama, Sharpton and Jackson did not like hearing this. All the problems that O'Reilly mentioned are usually presumed by the liberal Democrats and race baiters as the fault of the white folks.
Breitbart - Five-term incumbent Arizona senator John McCain has long enjoyed a reputation as a “maverick” among his more traditionally conservative Republican colleagues, but it appears that Republican primary voters may be running out of patience with his liberal stance on key issues such as immigration reform and Obamacare.
Breitbart reports that a new Arizona poll conducted by Public Policy Polling found that McCain’s job approval rating stands at only 50% among Republican primary voters. Even worse for McCain’s chances, over half of these voters said they would like to see a more conservative candidate win the Senate seat next year and only 37% of Arizona Republicans pledged to support him in his 2016 re-election campaign.
According to Breitbart’s Michelle Moons:
The result comes as little surprise, considering that members of McCain’s own party officially censured him on the basis that he has “amassed a long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats, such as Amnesty, funding for Obamacare, the debt ceiling, assaults on the Constitution and 2nd amendment, and has continued to support liberal nominees.”
Potential primary challengers to McCain include Tea Party-backed State Senator Kelli Ward and Christine Jones, who unsuccessfully ran for governor in 2014 using the tag line “The only candidate with a plan to SECURE the BORDER!” - something McCain has notably failed to do.
Blog Author's Comments - John McCain should have been ousted by the Arizona voters at least two terms ago. He may as well be a member of the Democratic Party with some of his views and the various stances he takes which not only affect the Republican Party but the entire country.
Career elected officials in both parties are a determent for the operation of the country. More time in office does not equal better decisions, just more personal power and wealth.
But I doubt that the primary voters of Arizona will rid the Senate of McCain. My opinion is he does not follow conservative values along with many others in the GOP and needs to go.
Breitbart - Thursday on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show,” former Rep. Allen West (R-FL) said poverty, lack of quality education, and the breakdown of the family are consequences of the Democrats’ inner-city policies that have created conditions which sparked riots all over the country, like the recent unrest caused by the death of Freddy Gray while in police custody.
West said, “Look, let’s be very honest, most of these inner cities have been under Democratic control for quite some time. So let’s start looking at the policies they have instituted there over the past 40 to 50 years.”
Blog Author's Comments - Allen West is exactly right, and he's not alone in saying so either. In fact in large part we can thank the 'Great Society' and liberal policies for the destruction of many families and the massive inner city problems we have today. And the people living in those inner cities keep voting for those in the Democratic Party. One would think that eventually many living in poverty, surrounded by crime and allowing the government to care for them would want to help themselves. But this continues decade after decade. Since Obama has been the president I think black crime has gotten worse along with black unemployment.
