Trey Gowdy Endorses Marco Rubio...

Truth Revolt -- House Republican Trey Gowdy, a conservative all-star, officially endorsed Florida Senator Marco Rubio for President Tuesday.

Joining Rubio on a two-day road trip through Iowa before the New Year, Gowdy enthusiastically supported the young Senator, exclaiming before a crowd of people that he has his vote:

"I'm in Iowa to give you a word of encouragement. It is not my job to tell you who to vote for. But I am going to tell you who I'm going to vote for ... I'm going to vote for Marco Rubio."

The deciding factor for Gowdy was Rubio's stance on two particular issues:

"National security and public safety are the most important issues to me. And there is nobody better on those two issues than Marco Rubio,"

Gowdy also touted Rubio's efforts to undermine Obamacare, calling him "the person who's doing the most" to combat the law:

"He's not going to brag about it, he's not flashy which is unusual for politics in this day and age, but Marco Rubio and his focus on risk corridors may wind up being the undoing of the so-called Affordable Care Act."

And he said that Rubio has the "ability to communicate our message of principled conservatism in a hopeful, aspirational, persuasive way."

"It's ok to be hopeful that the message of principled conservatism can win again," Gowdy continued. "I found that hope in a place that — if you'd told me 10 years ago I would find it, I wouldn't have believed you — in the son of a bartender, in the son of a housekeeper who know what it means to live the American dream."

"I trust Marco Rubio to lead a country safely that has the three most precious things in my life in it," said Gowdy, referring to his family.
Blog Author's Comments -- So Trey Gowdy campaigned for two days with Marco Rubio and has endorsed him for the Republican nominee for president. This tells me a lot about Gowdy, one of the few politicians I respected. Instead of elevating Rubio this tarnishes Gowdy.

Marco Rubio is a U.S. senator. And he just can’t stand it anymore. "I don’t know that 'hate' is the right word," Rubio said in an interview. "I’m frustrated." If he would be elected President would he get tired of that job too? So Rubio has decided not to run for reelection as a Senator, it’s the White House or bust.

"That’s why I’m missing votes. Because I am leaving the Senate," Rubio said in the last Republican debate, after Donald Trump had mocked him for his unusual number of absences during Senate votes.

In his third year as a Senator he joined a bipartisan "Gang of Eight" that negotiated a massive immigration-reform effort. He argued with talk-radio hosts, trying to sell conservatives on a plan that would give illegal immigrants a path toward citizenship.

That is the last thing the United States needs but apparently Rubio agrees with what Obama is doing - illegally. The open borders to illegals which Donald Trump is totally against, as is a majority of voters, is one of the main points which has catapulted him to the top as the favorite of all the Republicans vying for the nominee for the 2016 presidential election. I for one do not want Marco Rubio as the GOP nominee.

Blog Author's Comments -- I believe Donald Trump has actually got stronger support than some of the polls indicate. Because the media has been so obvious in its opposition to Trump when a pollster comes calling, the respondent will not say he or she is for Trump because they don't want to be ridiculed by the pollster or they don't want the pollster to think they're one thing or another, so they lie.

It seems to me the 'Washington/Republican' establishment is still circling the wagons for Marco Rubio (a member of the 'Gang of Eight' pushing for amnesty for the illegals) and Jeb Bush who the establishment thought and hoped would be well in the running for the GOP nomination. Now with Trump on the scene from the beginning and running away from the rest of the field, they have no idea what to do. I am convinced the Republicans would rather take a Hillary win than a Party win by Trump. Their problem is that Donald Trump is saying what many people want to hear and they cannot control him.

Blog Author's Comments -- Speaking of liars...if you are voting for Hillary Clinton in 2016, raise your hand. Now use it to slap yourself. You are an utterly stupid person. Hillary is a pathological liar. She lies so much it is difficult to tell when she is really being truthful. Does America want someone like Clinton to be our next president after eight years of Barack Obama? I don't think the people or the country can stand it. If Hillary Clinton should win the presidency there may never be a recovery from what she and Obama will do and have done.

New Speaker Of The House Paul Ryan's Omnibus Spending Bill

In the dead of night after 2am in the morning, Congressional leadership unveiled a more than 2,000 page ‘omnibus’ year-end funding bill which would, among other things: fully-fund the President’s refugee expansion; fully-fund sanctuary cities; fully-fund the resettlement of illegal aliens youth and their families crossing the border; lock-in tax credits for illegal aliens; and quadruple the highly controversial H-2B foreign worker visa being used to replace Americans as truck drivers, construction workers, theme park employees, and in blue collar jobs across the nation.

Omnibus Bill Writes Check To Sanctuary Cities

Blog Author's Comments -- Republican Majority Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Republican Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell passed a spending and tax bill supported by more Democrats than Republicans. Because the bill contained almost everything the Democrats wanted.

The voters gave the Republicans large majorities in both the House and Senate so they could push-back against progressive big government spending. What did the Republican leadership do with the majority? Republicans constructed big spending on behalf of the Democrats and voted with them to end up with the same result as if the Democrats were in control.

I don't remember a single Republican campaign in 2010 or 2014 which said, 'Elect me, because we're not going to be able to do anything.' I remember campaigns filled with lofty objectives and goals and promises that were rooted in stopping the Democrat agenda. The Democrats just got more of what they wanted in one budget than they ever got with Pelosi and Reid.

Donald Trump Statement Regarding Paul Ryan Omnibus Spending Bill
"If anyone needed more evidence of why the American people are suffering at the hands of their own government, look no further than the budget deal announced by Speaker Ryan. In order to avoid a government shutdown, a cowardly threat from an incompetent President, the elected Republicans in Congress threw in the towel and showed absolutely no budget discipline.

"The American people will have to absorb higher deficits, greater debt, less economic liberty and more corporate welfare. Congress cannot seem to help itself in bending to every whim of special interests. How can they face their constituents when they continue to burden our children and grandchildren with debts they will never be able to repay? Our government is failing us, so we must do something about it. Who knows how bad things will be when the next administration comes in and has to pick up the pieces?

"The only special interest not being served by our government is the American people. It is time we imposed budget discipline by holding the line on spending, getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse, and by taking on our debt. To do these things, we need a President who can lead the fight to hold Congress and the rest of government accountable. Together, we will Make America Great Again." - Donald J. Trump

CNN Announces Debate Lineup...

CNN Announces Debate Lineup - Keeps Nine Candidates In Prime Time Debate despite almost everyone agreeing the GOP debates need to be trimmed to the top 5, 6, or 7.
Without a doubt everybody in power and the GOP 'establishment' along with the 'old guard' of the Party and the liberal media, wants to be rid of Donald Trump. But they don't know how to do it because he has such a huge following with the voters and he is still leading in most polls even though Ted Cruz has recently done well in a couple of them. The media has created this huge circus regarding what Trump said concerning the Muslims. The things Donald Trump is saying is what many people want to hear.

Some of the conservative talk show hosts will one week seem to support Donald Trump and the following week Ted Cruz. They are backing who I believe are the two major candidates in the GOP race because they don't want to look bad to their listeners when a Republican nominee is finally chosen. We shall see if the CNN moderators attempt to start an on-stage argument between Trump and Cruz Tuesday evening.

Fox Suspends Contributors For On-Air Profanity

Truth Revolt -- Two regular Fox News contributors were suspended today for using profanity during their on-air commentary about President Obama, Talking Points Memo reports.

As TruthRevolt reported earlier today, Fox News analyst and retired Army officer Ralph Peters, a man not known for reserved opinions, referred to the President as "such a total pussy, it's stunning" on Fox Business this morning. Host Stuart Varney eventually had to insist that the fiery Peters apologize.

Not long afterward, Stacey Dash, a contributor on the Fox talk show Outnumbered, was also driven to saucy language by Obama's Sunday night address to the nation on terrorism. She said it seemed that the President "could give a shit" during his Oval Office speech.

Both contributors received a two-week suspension for the remarks. Bill Shine, Fox senior executive vice president of programming, released a statement which said,
Earlier today, FOX contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air. FOX Business Network and FOX News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks.

Blog Author's Comments -- Lt. Col. Ralph Peters is one of the better commentators on Fox. He hits Obama hard for what he says and does while others hold back. There is something wrong with anyone who doesn't get worked up listening to Obama the fraud day in and day out.

I can see how Mr. Peters and Ms. Dash could slip some slight profanity in while speaking about the current president. The man does not deserve any respect for what he has done during his time in office. "Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air." No, given the speech, I think those comments were completely appropriate and acceptable.

Primary Jeb Bush Backer Pledges To Vote For Hillary Clinton in 2016

Last week a leaked GOP seven page strategy memo surfaced outlining the Republican anxiety with the support of Donald Trump. One section of the memo stated:

…”[…] Trump Can Hit the Right Chord – We may not like it, but Trump has connected with voters on issues like trade with China and America’s broken borders.”...

Yes, the officials within the Republican party “don’t like” the fact candidate Donald “Trump has connected with voters”. For the GOP the goal is always to connect with the professional political class (Wall Street, Lobbyists, Donors) not those pesky unwashed masses called, “voters.”

A Few Thoughts On A Republican Establishment
That Just Doesn't Get It And Effort Against Trump

Kasich kicked off the GOP attacks, and immediately saw his own poll numbers in New Hampshire collapse.

Some Republicans have said that Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio supporters will vote for Hillary Clinton if their candidate does not win the nomination. Here’s further evidence in that regard:

One of Florida’s biggest conservative Republican moneymen — and a billionaire backer of Jeb Bush — is so disgusted by Donald Trump’s candidacy that if he has to, he’ll do the unthinkable:

“If I have a choice — and you can put it in bold — if I have a choice between Trump and Hillary Clinton, I’m choosing Hillary,” Miami healthcare magnate Mike Fernandez told the Miami Herald on Friday. “She’s the lesser of two evils.”

Blog Author's Comments -- Some of the backers of GOP candidates want to pick our nominee. The same can be said with the Republican Establishment.

Outraged by Trump’s unimpeded ascent, Fernandez the Bush backer is taking on the GOP frontrunner himself. He purchased a full-page ad in the upcoming Sunday edition of the Miami Herald calling Trump a “narcissistic BULLYionaire with a hunger to be adored.” He also likened him to some of history’s bloodiest demagogues. “You have no idea how furious I am with my friends in the Republican Party who have embraced this guy,” Fernandez said.

Now isn't this just too bad that the majority of people who will vote in the 2016 presidential election, at this point in time, apparently do not agree with Mr. Fernandez. If Mike Fernandez is backing Jeb Bush, he may as well be backing Hillary.

It is time to take America back for the people not any party. Donald Trump has connected with many of the people and he is saying what many of them want to hear. If Hillary Clinton is our next president it may as well be a third term for Obama.

Senator Boxer: 'Sensible Gun Control Works,' California Proves It

Breitbart -- On December 3–the day after Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik carried out California jihad in San Bernardino Senator Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) said “sensible gun control works,” and she cited the example of California to prove it.

Townhall’s Guy Benson reported Boxer’s assertion in a tweet, quoting her as saying, “Sensible gun laws work. We’ve proven it in California.”

This quote comes one day after other Democrats–President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Martin O’Malley–also seized on the San Benardino attack to push gun control and, in the case of O’Malley, bash the NRA. In fact, Clinton and O’Malley both tweeted for more gun control before the gunman and gunwomen had even been identified.

Clinton tweeted: “I refuse to accept this as normal. We must take action to stop gun violence.”

O'Malley tweeted: “Horrifying news out of San Bernardino. Enough is enough: it’s time to stand up to the NRA and enact meaningful gun safety laws.”

Breitbart News Reported that California already has expanded background checks, which is the “gun safety” law Democrats have been demanding at the federal level for years. But the law was ineffectual in preventing the attack by Farook and Malik.
Blog Author's Comments -- Barbara Boxer and most of her fellow Democrats live in a world void of reality, are delusional and deny the truth. So to the citizens of America I ask would you really vote for a Democrat once again for President that wants more gun control and will continue to accept Middle Eastern refugees with unknown backgrounds or intentions?

Sadly, much like all of her Democrat Party counterparts, Barbara Boxer was clueless as to how ridiculously ignorant her statement was. Liberals truly are the biggest threat to America. Gun control works out very well for criminals, as do those Gun Free Zones. What Boxer said is much like what Obama said when he was in Paris after the attack they had that killed and wounded so many people, that "the mass shootings that plague the United States just never happen in other countries."

Jeb Bush: Trump 'A Really Capable
Politician,' 'Just Not Qualified To Be President'

Breitbart -- On Wednesday’s “Happening Now” on the Fox News Channel, former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL), a candidate for the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination, sounded off on his campaign and touted his credentials as being why he would be the most qualified to be the Republican presidential nominee.

Host Jon Scott asked Bush about his party’s front-runner Donald Trump, to which Bush downplayed his opponent’s qualifications, particularly on foreign policy.

“Donald Trump is a really capable politician,” Bush said. “He’s just not qualified to be president. If you listen to him talk as it relates to ISIS or Syria he is not a serious person. He gets his information from websites, I guess, and watches the shows on Sunday and spews out such that is so confusing that at the end of the day people going to want to know who is going to sit behind a big desk. Who can make these tough decisions? Who can lead our country towards a place where we are more secure and have a growing economy? And I think when we get to that point in this stage of the campaign I’m going to fare pretty well and Donald Trump won’t.”

“He’s not qualified to be commander-in-chief and leader of the free world,” Bush added.
Blog Author's Comments -- By qualified does Jeb Bush mean someone like himself? Someone who will work with the Democrats and allow the illegal immigrants to flood America. I really don't think the voters want him as president even though the GOP 'Establishment' believes he should be the nominee who could defeat Hillary Clinton in the general election. Bush does not believe Trump is qualified, I guess because he has not lived in the protected world of government and has been very successful in the private sector?

Bush claims that Trump is not a "serious person." It seems to me that Trump is quite serious in listening to what Americans are saying and saying what the voters want to hear, while Bush demonstrates that he is seriously out of touch.

Latest Release - Number Of Hillary Clinton "Classified" Emails Now 999

Fox News -- As the number of classified Hillary Clinton emails grew to nearly 1,000, they also reveal how freely she and her staff shared information on the Benghazi attacks, including confirming the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens – and even celebrating her controversial hearing appearance where she asked, “What difference, at this point, does it make” what led to the attacks.

The emails were part of the largest release yet of Clinton documents from the State Department.

The batch contained 328 emails deemed to have classified information. According to the State Department, that brings the total number with classified information to 999.

That alone drew outrage from Republicans, with the RNC saying the sheer number of emails with classified material “underscores the degree to which Hillary Clinton jeopardized our national security and has tried to mislead the American people.”

But the document dump also potentially creates more problems for Clinton in her attempt to move past the fallout from the Benghazi attacks.

Notably, the emails show her aides congratulating her after her initial January 2013 testimony on the attacks before Congress. During that hearing, she got into a dispute with Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., over the conflicting narratives about the motivation for the attack and what preceded it – the State Department had come under fire for initially pointing to a protest over an anti-Islam film. Clinton told Johnson, expressively, “what difference, at this point, does it make?”
Blog Author's Comments -- Hillary Clinton is a pathological liar running for President and most of the liberals who voted for Obama will vote for her. Nothing will happen to her because of her scandals and lies and the Democratic Party will protect her no matter what it takes until Obama finally pardons her. It was negligence on how Hillary handled the classified documents, and don't forget, negligence on how she handled keeping our American diplomats safe in Benghazi.

When Clinton said I did not know they were classified or they were not classified when I saw them that is simply more lying by a Clinton. That is also showing gross incompetence. When she signed the papers to become a high level government official, the document says that it is the duty of a person of her level, Secretary of State, to determine if something is classified and mark it and treat it as such. She is not only corrupt, a liar, incompetent, but abandoned some of her sworn national security obligations and she could be the next president.

Why won’t the ‘Republican Establishment’ support Trump? Because they can’t control him like they can the rest of the GOP candidates. I am almost convinced they will willingly lose their chance for the presidency rather than support Donald Trump.

There is an entire stratosphere of inter-connected alliances who would much rather have Hillary Clinton in office than face the very real possibility of Donald Trump who is singularly focused on what is in America’s best interests.

Kasich: Trump Plans 'Nonsense,' I Don't Think His Support Is Real

Breitbart -- Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) questioned the polls showing his rival Donald Trump is leading the nomination race.

Kasich said, “I’ve been in a virtual war with Donald Trump over these things. I flat out condemn the idea that we were going to have Muslims register. I mean, I can’t help that maybe you didn’t have a camera out there, but the fact is I condemned it as soon as it came out of his mouth. That is not acceptable.”

When asked why Trump is working Kasich said, “Well look, I don’t know how much he’s working and I don’t know who they’re surveying and I do believe in polls like you do, but at the same time, who are they surveying. Are these people for real? I don’t think so. I think at the end when you don’t have experience, when we look at this critical nature of foreign policy — I listened to a lot of what Leon Panetta had to say, I agree with much of it, much of it I’ve already said. And the idea that we’re going to repel an entire group of people on the basis of their religion, it’s nonsense. As you know, I’ve been in a Twitter war with Donald Trump and experience does matter and I have a lot of it. That’s why I have a solid plan to get rid of ISIS and rebuild our military.”
Blog Author's Comments -- Kasich commenting on the polls and Trump leading the field, "are these people for real?" They sure are Governor Kasich and that is why you are doing so poorly in the polls and Donald Trump is kicking your ass! I'm not really sure what Kasich is whining about, doesn't he realize that he has no chance of winning the nomination and should discontinue his farce of a presidential run? And if he has "a solid plan to get rid of ISIS and rebuild our military," why not tell us what it is?

Kasich's Super Pac has joined with Rubio and Bush donors to run negative ads against Trump. I think Kasich is still in because he will be working for the Republican 'Establishment' to benefit Jeb Bush who is their choice for the nomination. Kasich must have been promised a spot in the Jeb Bush administration if he should win, but this will never happen. If Bush by chance were to run against Hillary Clinton he would be defeated and I don't want another Bush as president. I would feel somewhat confident with either Ted Cruz of Donald Trump as the Republican nominee. If the GOP does not win the presidency in 2016 they may never elect another president.

Obama Points To His Courage Traveling To Paris Climate Summit

Independent Sentinel -- Barack Obama actually said at a presser Sunday that by attending the Climate Conference he is showing ISIS I’m ‘Not Afraid’ and Amb. Wendy Sherman, putting a smiley face on Obama’s ‘no strategy’ plan against ISIS, said President Obama Has Been About “Resolve Not Fear” Against ISIS.

Barack Obama said he would go ahead with a visit to Paris for the pivotal UN summit on climate change despite the recent attacks in the French capital, urging other leaders to do the same to show “we are not afraid” of extremists.

“I think it’s absolutely vital for every country, every leader, to send a signal that the viciousness of a handful of killers does not stop the world from doing vital business,” Obama said following an Asia-Pacific summit in Malaysia.

In addition to hunting down terrorists, missile strikes, curbing jihadist financing and other steps, “the most powerful tool we have to fight ISIL is to say that we’re not afraid”, he said.

How is it that Obama could think that, even in the furthest reaches of his bizarre imagination, it’s courageous to attend a climate change summit while traveling in bullet proof vehicles with hundreds of security guards, and thousands of security agents and endless precautions in Paris? It’s brave now to go to Paris with heavy security?

David Brooks ripped Obama, saying his ISIS Policy “Is a rank failure”.

No kidding. A policy without a strategy is always a rank failure.

The top Senate Intel Democrat, Dianne Feinstein, said on Face the Nation Sunday that the White House ISIS plan is not “sufficient”. She is pressing the White House to move more aggressively against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

The agreement is not an overall strategy to eliminate ISIS, Feinstein added. “We need a specific, larger special operations plan,” she said.[...]

Didn’t Dianne hear? Obama just said, “We will ultimately destroy ISIS.” I’d like to know how.

Obama is not going to do it. He only cares about his domestic plan to make the U.S. into a socialist country and the only passion or concern he shows is when he’s attacking the half of the country he doesn’t like and the GOP.
Blog Author's Comments -- Of course Obama is courageous, our country will spend a few million dollars on security for his trip to Paris to make sure he's safe. He said, “I think it’s absolutely vital for every country, every leader, to send a signal that the viciousness of a handful of killers does not stop the world from doing vital business,” Obama said following an Asia-Pacific summit in Malaysia. In addition to hunting down terrorists, missile strikes, curbing jihadist financing and other steps, “the most powerful tool we have to fight ISIL is to say that we’re not afraid”, he said. Yet Obama still won't label ISIS 'Islamic extremists.'

Levin Slams Ryan For His Syrian Refugee Effort:
'They Don't Get It -- This Is World War III'

Breitbart -- On his Thursday radio show, conservative talker Mark Levin offered his reaction on House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) interview on Fox News Channel's "Hannity" the night before. During that appearance, Ryan laid out the components of his legislation that would deal with Syrian migrants seeking refuge in the United States.

Levin took issue with what Ryan was describing in that interview as “pause,” which he said includes a higher level of vetting of those refugees. Levin disputed Ryan’s definition of a “pause” and took aim at him the general mentality of the leadership Washington, D.C., which he argued failed to recognize the seriousness of the threat the country is facing.

“These people inside Washington – they don’t get it,” Levin said. “This is World War III. Could you imagine during World War II or World War I having these discussions? World War I, under a hideous president, Woodrow Wilson, World War II under an almost equally hideous president, FDR – did they worry about any of this stuff? Was this the national debate? The national debate was how to secure the nation and destroy the enemy and how to destroy the enemy as quickly as possible – victory, victory, victory. Do these guys even talk about victory? This entire debate is absurd.”

Levin also pointed out neither Ryan nor his U.S. Senate counterpart, Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), are doing anything to fulfill funding for the border control legislation passed during George W. Bush’s presidency, which he said calls into question the sincerity of the claim Ryan made that he wants to “secure the homeland.”

“You’re not securing the homeland, you’re pretending to secure the homeland,” Levin said. “And you should know that. You’re one of these amnesty guys. For instance, ladies and gentlemen, let me ask you a question: Has there been a renewed push by the House of Representatives led by this man to fund the 2006-2007 Border Security Act? No, there hasn’t. Has anybody seen Mitch McConnell the last three weeks? Has he been pushing that? No, he hasn’t. So let’s not pretend. Let’s not pretend the right debate is taking place and the right actions are taking place.”
Blog Author's Comments -- I agree with Mark Levin, a true patriot, talk show host, author, lawyer and very bright man. Nobody knows and defends the Constitution like he does. For years it has been obvious that we will not be able to act, really act, until we are hit some more. More small scale attacks. Maybe some bigger ones. It will take death and destruction to cut through the establishment narrative that current policy is effective.

While Ryan is very smart, he needs to be reminded that Obama is not a reasonable man and dealing with the Syrian refugees and the illegal Hispanics is not merely the stuff of charity. Indeed, it is the stuff of National Security. I don't believe that Obama cares if most of the people in our country do not want the illegals here but he continues his push for them. We already have laws in place if someone wants to come and live in the United States but Obama ignores them.

Mark Levin speaking about Paul Ryan, “you’re not securing the homeland, you’re pretending to secure the homeland,” Levin said.

Paul Ryan Hopes To Find 'Common Ground' With Obama

Breitbart -- In an interview that aired on CBS’s “60 Minutes” Sunday, newly elected Speaker of the House Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) said he hopes to lead a House of Representatives that is “functioning again.”

“I think wiping the slate clean was about wiping the slate clean in Congress and getting Congress, the House functioning again,” Ryan said.

However, part of that Ryan said will require finding “common ground” with the Obama White House.

“Look, if we can find common ground, we can on highways, we will on funding the government, hopefully we can on tax policy,” Ryan said. “Those are three things that will produce certainty in this economy in the next few months. Let’s go do that.”

Ryan also vowed that there would be no mass deportation of illegal immigrants while he was serving as House Speaker.

Blog Author's Comments -- Ryan actually expects to find 'common ground' with Obama and his administration? Is Paul Ryan another John Boehner? I was against Ryan as Speaker of the House when he was first being considered for the position. Obama is not interested in getting along or finding common ground. I don't think Ryan believes that we are at war with the Democrats. Obama is transforming the country into what he wants it to be and is not being stopped.

Another statement in the column that I can't agree with is 'Ryan also vowed that there would be no mass deportation of illegal immigrants while he was serving as House Speaker.' He can say that after what just happened in France? I am convinced something on the same scale or much larger will happen in the United States as more illegals are allowed into our country. Our only hope is to win the presidency in 2016 with a strong person and I can only think of two who fit that description that are running for the nomination.

GOP Voters Trust Trump On Immigration

Truth Revolt -- He is a thorn in the side of the political establishment but many Republican voters say that Donald Trump is the best bet when it comes to immigration. A poll by YouGov finds that 49% of GOP voters think The Donald is best suited to handle the issue of illegal immigration:
Half of Republicans view Trump as the candidate who can best handle immigration, more than four times the percentage who name Florida Senator Marco Rubio, the son of immigrants, who is in second place, far behind Trump. Only 5% believe former Florida Governor Jeb Bush would do the best job on immigration.
If, as many in the mainstream media argue, Republicans need the support of Hispanic voters in order to win, then this poll is bad news. The poll found more Hispanics are likely to support Jeb Bush's open approach to illegal immigration as opposed to Trump's hard line:
More than half of Hispanics in this poll are immigrants themselves or the children of immigrants. More than half (52%) know someone who is an illegal immigrant, which may color their views on immigration: Hispanics are as likely to think that illegal immigrants commit fewer violent crimes as to say they commit more than others do. Half of Hispanics believe that Mexican immigrants have had a positive impact on the U.S. economy.
Right now Trump has a narrow lead in the Real Clear Politics average of polls among GOP contenders followed closely by Ben Carson - both sitting at 24% support - followed by Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz each at 11%. While Rubio and Cruz are both Hispanic themselves, they have carved out different positions on immigration with Rubio being more open to a pathway to citizenship than Cruz is.
Blog Author's Comments -- Donald Trump is saying what the patriotic Americans want to hear. Where as most of the other candidates (i.e. Rubio, Bush, etc.) still stand for open borders. Trump is the biggest threat to the illegals and the other GOP candidates. If Trump gets the nomination, the RINOs that make up the GOP Establishment will be seething with anger because at present they are wringing their hands over how to stop him.

The election of 2016 is our last chance to save America, so those of us who care want a nominee that can defeat Hillary Clinton. If Clinton should win or even anyone in the GOP besides Trump or maybe Ted Cruz, the borders will remain open and the illegals will be given amnesty. Without secure borders we will see the end of the United States as we know it and the continuation of the Obama era. I don't understand how anyone can believe that Jeb Bush is presidential material and is it not strange that during all of the debates Marco Rubio has not been asked about amnesty or his part in the 'Gang of Eight?'

If Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination and is elected POTUS he will have a huge job with his stand on illegals and amnesty. But, the task has to start soon. Trump at least seems to see what is happening to our country and wants to do something about it. We do not need any more RINO Republicans who do nothing.

Ben Carson Backs Puerto Rican Statehood

The Hill -- Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson officially backed Puerto Rican statehood in a speech on the island on Sunday.

“In a Carson administration, I will leave no stone unturned in my efforts to secure this important step in Puerto Rico’s history — establishing Estado 51,” Carson said, according to CNN.

Carson said he viewed the issue of statehood as “settled,” the news network added, referring to a referendum to join the union backed by a majority of Puerto Rican citizens in 2012. “Mis hermanos Americanos,” Carson reportedly said, “my campaign is built around the premise of ‘We the people,’ and through such lens, I view the statehood question in Puerto Rico as settled.”

The Carson campaign estimated that 3,500 people attended the rally for the pro-statehood New Progressive Party.

Other Republican candidates for president, such as former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), support Puerto Rican statehood, provided the island's residents vote to approve it.

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton has not endorsed statehood for the U.S. commonwealth but has supported economic relief measures for the island in the past.
Blog Author's Comments -- Dr. Ben Carson is slowly burying his campaign for the GOP nominee. Puerto Rico has 65% unemployment, a mountain of entitlement debt they cannot afford to pay back; 50% or more of Puerto Ricans are on some form of government financial welfare; teetering on the verge of financial collapse; desperate for a bailout – and candidate Ben Carson wants to absorb Puerto Rico into the U.S.A as a state. He certainly appears to be a progressive.

This follows candidate Ben Carson saying only two days earlier that he supports the Trans-Pacific Trade Partnership and further globalization.

We already have our own mountain of debt with what Barack Obama has done the past seven years and will continue to do until he leaves the White House. I never did support Ben Carson or Marco Rubio as serious presidential candidates. The country needs a leader who can begin to turn around what Obama has done. I believe we have two candidates that the Republican Party should support that could defeat Hillary Clinton and provide the country with a very good president.
