Time -- Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) added that the Justice Department is “the most partisan” in its history.
Attorney General Eric Holder must appoint a special prosecutor to investigate IRS targeting of conservative groups or expect to face impeachment proceedings, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said on the chamber floor Thursday.
“When an Attorney General mocks the rule of law, when an Attorney General corrupts the Department of Justice by conducting a nakedly partisan investigation to cover up political wrongdoing that conduct by any reasonable measure constitutes high crimes and misdemeanors,” said Cruz. “Attorney General Eric Holder has the opportunity to do the right thing. He could appoint a special prosecutor with meaningful independence who is not a major Obama donor.”
The donor Cruz is referring to is Justice Department prosecutor Barbara Bosserman, who has given $6,750 to the Democratic Party and President Obama over the past ten years, according to the Washington Post. Bosserman has been chosen to lead the Justice Department probe into the IRS.
Cruz and other conservatives are dismayed that the Justice Department has yet to indict anyone 13 months after the IRS admitted that it targeted nonprofit political advocacy groups with the terms “tea party” or “patriot” in their names from 2010 to 2012.
Finance Committee Chairman Sen. Ron Wyden (D—Ore.) took to the floor after Cruz’s speech to object to the call for a special prosecutor, saying that there have been five IRS investigations either concluded or ongoing and another could add “significant cost” to the taxpayer. He also said the call was “premature” given that his committee’s report, conducted with Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and his staff, is “almost finished.”
The House of Representatives has impeached only one cabinet official in its history, Secretary of War William Belknap in 1876. He was acquitted in his Senate trial.
Blog author's comments - As long as Obama provides cover for Holder, Holder does not have to do anything except what Obama wants him to do. And Obama does not want any kind of special prosecutor appointed to look into anything regarding his myriad of scandals. I like Senator Cruz and agree with what he would like to do, but it won't happen and Holder and Obama know it. Even if Holder would appoint a Special Prosecutor it would only be for show, there would be no way the person would be impartial trying to get to the truth. Most thinking Americans, if they have been paying attention, know this.
Even if Holder could be removed from office Senator Cruz would also need his fellow GOP members to back him. Cruz would not only be fighting the Democrats and the liberal media, but also the 'Republican Establishment' of his own party. The Senate and House both need a few more members like Ted Cruz. He is one of the few in both the Senate and House with the backbone to at least attempt to get something done, while Obama and his Democrats continue to trash the country.

Americans can be very confident in the strength of our economy. The most productive workers in the world, the safest place to invest money, the freest people in the world so I feel pretty confident & the American people feel confident about our country.
A low-carbon, clean energy economy can be an engine of growth for decades to come.
By most measures America has rarely been strong relative to the rest of the world. Those who argue otherwise-- who suggest that America is in decline or has seen its global leadership slip away-- are either misreading history or engaged in partisan politics.

Daily Caller -- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) cancelled its longtime relationship with an email-storage contractor just weeks after ex-IRS official Lois Lerner’s computer crashed and shortly before other IRS officials’ computers allegedly crashed.
The IRS signed a contract with Sonasoft, an email-archiving company based in San Jose, California, each year from 2005 to 2010. The company, which partners with Microsoft and counts The New York Times among its clients, claims in its company slogans that it provides “Email Archiving Done Right” and “Point-Click Recovery.” Sonasoft in 2009 tweeted, “If the IRS uses Sonasoft products to backup their servers why wouldn’t you choose them to protect your servers?”
Sonasoft was providing “automatic data processing” services for the IRS throughout the January 2009 to April 2011 period in which Lerner sent her missing emails.
But Sonasoft’s six-year business relationship with the IRS came to an abrupt end at the close of fiscal year 2011, as congressional investigators began looking into the IRS conservative targeting scandal and IRS employees’ computers started crashing left and right.
Sonasoft’s fiscal year 2011 contract with the IRS ended on August 31, 2011. Eight days later, the IRS officially closed out its relationship with Sonasoft in accordance with the federal government’s contract close-out guidelines, which require agencies to fully audit their contracts and to get back any money that wasn’t used by the contractor. Curiously, the IRS de-allocated 36 cents when it closed out its contract with Sonasoft on September 8, 2011.
Lois Lerner’s computer allegedly crashed in June 2011, just ten days after House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Dave Camp first wrote a letter asking if the IRS was engaging in targeting of nonprofit groups. Two months later, Sonasoft’s contract ended and the IRS gave its email-archiving contractor the boot.
IRS official and frequent White House visitor Nikole Flax allegedly suffered her own computer crash in December 2011, three months after the IRS ended its relationship with Sonasoft.
Blog author's comments - Holding those in power responsible when they break the law must happen. The IRS official Lois Learner refuses to testify before congress, her emails disappear; the IRS cancels their contract with Sonasoft, the company saving their emails, it’s all just one big mistake and they are all innocent?
For all this to happen I would guess this goes all the way to the White House. But Lerner knows the AG Eric Holder won’t go after her, that is why she won’t talk to Congress. All the criminals involved in the Obama administration believe they have gotten away with their crime against the American people.
Obama’s assertion that there was “not even a smidgeon of corruption” in the IRS’ attacks on right-wing groups does not reassure me. Did anyone believe him aside from the far leftists? Obama has swept this under the rug just like all the other scandals within his administration.
The now ex-IRS official Lois Lerner's hard drive has been recycled, making it likely that many emails sent to and from Lerner may never be recovered. But, if we are to believe their story about the missing emails someone has to have a copy of a Lerner email that says to her head underlings, "go after the Tea Party groups to keep them on the sidelines for this 2012 election cycle."
Lerner wouldn’t have pleaded the Fifth at the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to investigate whether the IRS was targeting nonprofit conservative groups, a scandal that was exposed in 2013, unless she had reason to believe that there was real illegality and it would be tied to her. Below is what she really meant when she stood and took the oath at the House Oversight hearing.

Fox News -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he won't attend a Washington Redskins home game until the football team changes its controversial name.
In a letter late last week to the team's president, Reid called the Redskins name a racial slur that disparages the American people. The Nevada Democrat, who said he represents 27 tribes in his state, rejected Bruce Allen's invitation to a Redskins home game until the team does "the right thing" and changes its name.
"I will not stand idly by while a professional sports team promotes a racial slur as a team name and disparages the American people," Reid said in the letter. "Nor will I consider your invitation to attend a home game until your organization chooses to do the right thing and change its offensive name."
Reid said the matter is "personal" for him.
Last month, the Redskins responded to Senate Democrats who said the nickname is a racial slur, saying it is “respectful” to Native Americans and suggested the lawmakers didn't have all of the facts.
In a letter to Reid, Allen wrote: "Our use of `Redskins' as the name of our football team for more than 80 years has always been respectful of and shown reverence toward the proud legacy and traditions of Native Americans."
Redskins owner Dan Snyder has vowed never to change the name.
Blog author's comments - Harry Reid promising not to attend Washington Redskins games has to be exciting news for Redskins fans. The games just got more desirable knowing Reid will not be at the stadium. I doubt very much if Reid would attend a game even if the 'Redskins' changed their name. So now Redskin games will be that much better with one less, arrogant, elitist, evil little man in the stands. But this is not over; Harry Reid does not like to lose. Hopefully Reid is the minority leader in the Senate after the 2014 elections.
Blog author's comments - In my opinion this ruling has Obama and Reid written all over it. 'The ruling does not mean that the Redskins have to change the name of the team. It does affect whether the team and the NFL can make money from merchandising because it limits the team’s legal options when others use the logos and the name on T shirts, sweatshirts, beer glasses and license plate holders.'
'In addition, Native Americans have won at this stage before, in 1999. But the team and the NFL won an appeal to federal court in 2009. The court did not rule on the merits of the case, however, but threw it out, saying that the plaintiffs didn’t have standing to file it. The team is likely to make the same appeal this time.'

Breitbart -- Climate McCarthyism has claimed another victim. Dr Caleb Rossiter - an adjunct professor at American University, Washington DC - has been fired by a progressive think tank after publicly expressing doubt about man-made global warming.
Rossiter, a former Democratic congressional candidate, has impeccably liberal credentials. As the founder of Demilitarization for Democracy he has campaigned against US backed wars in Central America and Southern Africa, against US military support for dictators and against anti-personnel landmines. But none of this was enough to spare him the wrath of the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) when he wrote an OpEd in the Wall Street Journal describing man-made global warming as an "unproved science."
Two days later, he was sacked by email. The IPS said: "We would like to inform you that we are terminating your position as an Associate Fellow of the Institute for Policy Studies...Unfortunately, we now feel that your views on key issues, including climate science, climate justice, and many aspects of US policy to Africa, diverge so significantly from ours."
In the WSJ OpEd entitled Sacrificing Africa for Climate Change, Rossiter argued that Africans should benefit from the same mixed energy policy as Americans rather than being denied access to fossil fuels on spurious environmental grounds by green activists. He wrote: "The left wants to stop industrialization - even if the hypothesis of catastrophic, man-made global warming is false."
But the Institute for Policy Studies ("Ideas into Action for Peace, Justice, and the Environment") is ideologically committed to ensuring that Africans only enjoy the benefits of expensive, intermittent, inefficient renewable energy such as wind and solar.
Rossiter told Climate Depot: "If people ever say that fears of censorship for 'climate change' views are overblown, have them take a look at this: Just two days after I published a piece in the Wall Street Journal calling for Africa to be allowed the 'all of the above' energy strategy we have in the U.S., the Institute for Policy Studies terminated my 23-year relationship with them…because my analysis and theirs 'diverge.'"
His sacking follows the persecution last month of Lennart Bengtsson, a Swedish meteorologist and climatologist who decided to resign his position at the Global Warming Policy Foundation after being harassed by climate alarmists for his "incorrect" views on man-made climate change.
Blog author's comments - The firing of professor Dr. Caleb Rossiter shows how freedom of speech is being controlled by the liberals whenever they can, particularly when it involves anything negative uttered or written concerning Obama’s agenda for the country. With Global Warming/Climate Change, the Obama administration’s real agenda is more control over the citizens.
Obama is not worried about creating jobs or about the number of jobs that have been lost since he has been in office, many because of his and the progressives stance against fossil fuels. He also does not care about the cost of gas the peasants in America pay to keep their cars running. If he could control it, he would limit the number of miles each citizen could drive their cars.
Even a very liberal Democrat like Dr. Caleb Rossiter is not safe if he dares to deviate from the preconceived Democratic talking points on climate change or energy use. Everyone must have the same thoughts, ideas and policies or the Thought Police will quickly attempt to punish anyone who has a different view on the climate change scam.

Tea Party News Network -- The political correctness police are working hard to clamp down on what were once seen as innocent child behaviors. Ethan Chaplin attends Glen Meadow Middle School. He faced extreme disciplinary action for twirling a pencil with a pen cap during class. The boy was suspended from school pencil unless and until he underwent a psychological evaluation for what the district said was odd and non-conforming behavior.
Charles Maranzano, Vernon Schools Superintendent, claims that the boy was not actually suspended, but was prevented from attending school until the psychological evaluation was complete. However, the actions of the school in not allowing the boy to attend school fits within the definition of suspension. Ethan’s experience and the over-the-top punishment he had to endure came at the hands of a student who had previously bullied him. NJ.com reports on this case of school discipline gone awry. (See video below)
Ethan Chaplin, a Glen Meadow Middle School student, told News 12 last week that while he was twirling a pencil with a pen cap on in math class, a student who bullied him earlier in the day yelled “He’s making gun motions, send him to juvie.”
He was suspended for two days and then underwent five hours of a physical and mental exam at Riverview Medical Center’s crisis unit, his father told NJ.com.
Maranzano told the New Jersey Herald decisions are made on a case-to-case basis on how long it takes before a student returns. Once an evaluation is done, a student could potentially return the next day, he said.
According to the Huffington Post, the superintendent said, “Our actions are always based on what’s best for the health safety and welfare of all the students. We’re responsible for their mental and physical health and safety and security. When a student misbehaves or displays actions that are non-conforming or don’t meet our expectations, it causes us some concerns. I don’t want to be the one who failed to act when there were warning signs being demonstrated or displayed.“
Ethan’s father, Michael Chaplin, was disturbed by these comments about his son believing that the superintendent as likening his son and his actions to the heinous actions of the Sandy Hook shooter. While he was able to return to school, Ethan, according to his father, continues to be harassed by school officials. His father shared the additional humiliation his son has to endure from school administrators.
He also said his son is being followed around the school by the principal and being observed in class. Michael Chaplin also said all of the boys at his son’s lunch table have been interviewed and the school appeared to be doing a bullying investigation regarding the boy who made remarks in his son’s math class.
“The child was stripped, had to give blood samples (which caused him to pass out) and urine samples for of all things drug testing. Then four hours later a social worker spoke to him for five minutes and cleared him. Then an actual doctor came in and said the state was 100 percent incorrect in their procedure and this would not get him back in school.”
Mr. Chaplin said, “the issue remains there was little grounds to actually take the actions they demanded.”
Blog author's comments - Political correctness out of control. No doubt the school officials are liberals. The kid who yelled out "he's making gun motions, send him to juvie", should have been the one required to undergo evaluations. And Ethan Chaplin's parents should at least threaten to sue the school district for what happened. It would be difficult for me to keep a child of mine in that school unless there were changes made regarding the actions of the teacher and Superintendent of the school.
The teacher should have known that the kid saying "send him to juvie" was being a bully in order to get him in trouble. This is child abuse and pure stupidity by those in charge. The school owes this young man an apology and the Superintendent should do it in front of his class and teacher. When is common sense going to make a resurgence in our nation? The liberals are pushing really hard on the whole "guns are scary" tactic since the shootings at the Sandy Hook school. Yet as far as I know these same people in charge of the school systems are for the most part against having armed security guards in the schools.

Children In Wealthy Washington, D.C. Counties
Amnesty For "Kids" After Election Loss
Establishment In Wake Of Eric Cantor Defeat
The Standard For Impeachment" Many Times
Monday, June 9, 2014
Newsmax -- House Majority Leader Eric Cantor has urged President Barack Obama to make a deal on immigration, especially amnesty reform for children of illegal immigrants.
But during an interview with CBS 6 in Virginia, Cantor warned Obama that his "my highway or the highway" approach to reform would not lead to legislation being passed during his tenure.
"I have told the president, there are some things we can work on together," said Cantor, who is facing a challenge from tea party candidate Dave Brat, an economics professor, in Tuesday’s GOP primary in Virginia.
Referring to a possible amnesty deal for millions of undocumented children, he added, "We can work on the border security bill together, we can work on something like the kids.
"So far, the president has just insisted that it’s all or nothing, [it is] my way or the highway. That’s not going to happen."
Brat, who teaches at Randolph-Macon College near Richmond, Virginia, has slammed Cantor’s immigration reform stance during the campaign.
"Eric Cantor is saying we should bring more folks into the country, increase the labor supply — and by doing so, lower wage rates for the working person," Brat said, according to Reuters. "His policies make no sense."[...]
Although Cantor has attacked the comprehensive immigration reform bill passed by the Senate last year, the Virginia Republican supported parts of the bill, such as proposals that kids would be allowed to stay in the United States and allowing companies to hire foreign workers.
Blog author's comments -- Obama breaks the law and ignores his Constitutional duty and all the Republican leadership looks for is to 'make a deal'. And Cantor's name has been mentioned as being the next Speaker of the House if the GOP House members decide to remove Boehner as the speaker which they should. But Cantor should not be the next speaker. House majority leader Eric Cantor showed how out of touch he is with the conservative base when he called on Barack Obama to make a deal on immigration. Dave Brat, who is challenging House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) in Tuesday's primary, believes Cantor betrayed his district on amnesty and shares the blame for surge in illegal immigrant children flooding into the country.
I cannot believe that amnesty is not political suicide for any Republican seeking re-election. Even some people who have come here legally and are now citizens do not want this. But, enforcing the existing laws on the books is not the Obama way. He sees illegals as future Democratic Party voters. Obama is now funding attorneys to help illegal aliens avoid deportation. I assume John Boehner still wants to pass an amnesty bill in the House before the midterm elections. This would not be of any help to the GOP who should be trying to retain control of the House and possibly gain control of the Senate. I doubt that Boehner will complete the two years of his next term. I think he is ready to leave the mess he helped to create and retire.

This Notion That I'm Prepared To Negotiate With Terrorists..."

Business Insider -- A new poll shows about 80% of Americans think President Barack Obama is "personally" responsible for at least some of the issues with the medical care provided to former soldiers by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The Washington Post-ABC News poll, released Tuesday, found 38% of respondents viewed Obama responsible for a "good" or "great" amount of the VA's woes; another 41% said Obama was responsible for "just some" of the controversy. That makes for 79% of voters who lay at least some of the blame for the scandal with the president.
Revelations of chronically long wait times and other issues at VA health care facilities have rocked the federal agency in recent weeks. A damning report by the VA inspector general released last Wednesday found "systemic" problems and "scheduling schemes" being used to hide delays in care at VA medical facilities that have been linked to multiple deaths. The growing scandal led to Secretary Eric Shinseki's resignation last Friday.
The Post-ABC poll, conducted among a national sample of 1,002 adults, further found a whopping 82% view the issue as "very serious" and another 15% view it as "somewhat serious." Just 2% described it as not especially serious.
A solid majority — 65% — said Shinseki's decision to resign was the right one.
Blog author's comments - Does anyone think that because of the VA scandal, this prompted Obama to get it out of the news cycle and change the subject with the Bergdahl-Gitmo prisoner swap? I certainly do. The Pentagon knew Bowe Bergdahl's whereabouts but didn't risk rescue for the 'deserter.' They did not think it was worth the possible loss of more U.S. troops. I will not go into what has happened to our veterans in so many VA facilities, except to say it is a sin and a shame how they were not treated and many because of the lack of care died.
We continue to hear that racism is the only possible motivation for doubting, criticizing, resisting or disagreeing with anything the president does. So 79% of Americans must now be considered racists, at least for what has happened with the Department of Veterans Affairs. No matter what Obama tries, it always backfires on him. But he always gets away with it and his minions never think he's done anything wrong. Obama is either very lazy and inept or a smart, calculating, evil person. I think he is a combination of both. It sure seems that he is determined to destroy the USA, and remake us into a third-world country. I am still amazed that he was re-elected to continue his damage.
